So I know I have been gone for awhile from the site, but that doesn't mean I haven't been putting in work into this game. Besides what is already posted on the site, I plan to release a video soon show casing the menu system that I have redesigned for the game. The video is just a quick look at how the old menu looks compared to the new one that I created. Nothing special compared to when I finally finish the battle system which won't be until the summer.
The reason this game is taking longer than it should of is because I was trying to do two things at once, working on Revelations and Warriors Episode I, which isn't a smart move without an actually team to get things done. So my first priority is to complete Revelations: The Demon Slayer and then Warriors Episode Trilogy as it's easier to do a remake then to complete a game from scratch. Also once the menu and battle system is complete I plan to at least release a quick demo. Only thing after that would be to work on game play (besides the battle system there wasn't that much to reconfigure) and all the towns and dungeons. The maps are going to require me play through the original game several times before I get the them correct while adding some redesign to some of the badly designed maps in the original game. Because if anyone remembers playing Pokemon blue/red/yellow and how bad the town and dungeons looked and then Nintendo released White and Black and the town actually looked like towns. Well that's what I plan on doing as the original maps in Revelations 1994 game looks like that.
Back to the menu system, besides some obviously changes to the menus GUI, when I release the video, I have also went a head and added two additions to the menu: a Bestiary and a Journal. The game has a lot of monsters that can be fought and captured/released, so it would be nice if you could also view the data of monster that you cannot capture as well. The journal is for players that may get lost as the game can get confusing if you missed something.
Well that's all i have for now…
