Hello everyone, this is my first time ever making a video game or using a program like rpg maker vx ace. It's really cool so far and i'm excited to make it a really good game. I've gotten familiar with creating scenes but I need help with scripts in battles. I thought the ones I had were good but they don't seem to mix well together. The ones I have are victor's engine basic module, animated battles, and actors battles as well as Yanfly's Battle Engine and Customisable ATB/Stamina System. When I play the battle in game for some reason it forces the background for the battle to circle into some weird faded out thing. The main character is stuck all the way on the left and the only characters in the right place is the boss. Anyone know how to fix this and keep or get similar systems?
The two scripts you've mentioned are not compatiable with each other, so they will not play well together. When ever you are searching for scripts to use together, here are some rules to remember before you male your choices: 1. When ever you have 2 scripts that are labeled 'Core' or have the word 'Core' in the title (whether it be a battle system, custom menu system, or whichever) it usually signals that the only other scripts that will work properly with the authors/scripters 'Core Script' are the ones he/she have written themselves. Example: Yanfly Engine Core + Any and all Yanfly (Add On Scripts) are created to work together. Why? Well think of the 'Core' Script as the engine that tells the other scripts (written by the same author as mentioned above) how to communicate not only with it's add-ons, but with the vx ace engine itself. There are a few exceptions to the rules though. Some Add-Ons created by other scripters will work with certain (core) scripts written by other scripters. In your case – Victor's Basic Module (which is a 'Core' script) written only for Victors many Add-Ons. There is a massive amount of scripts out there to choose from, just remember to check their names carefully and test each one separately to see if their compatiable with each other. Scripters in general have their own techniques, and a lot of times they will clash. Sorry about the long winded explanation (this is actually the short version). Welcime to the wonderful yet frustratingly fun world of amateur game design.
