I apologise for constantly disappearing and re-appearing here and there. As some of you know, I've been in Brisbane for the past few months doing university, and, until I've been able to get my student allowance for studying full-time, I've had to work a part time job to pay for food and accommodation. But, now that I've got my allowance and been able to stop working, I have more free time to put into Hope Afloat, various other side projects, and into the forum.
Mostly what I've been doing over the course of the little free time I've had available was to try idiot-proofing a few of my systems, which, to be honest, are far from perfect. There's always a few graphical bugs here and there, but the aim is to make the systems stable enough to be functional in a short demo. Every time I come back to the project, I have the debug testing room, and I forget that I have some pretty solid gameplay and maps already done. With any luck, I'll be able to start testing the game and putting a rather short demo out in the coming weeks. I'll also be updating the testers part of the team to include everyone I'd like to help test the game. If you'd also like to help test, shoot me a PM. Expect more blog entries soon. Take it easy guys.

Well, I'm sure you remember how old the original Hope Afloat was, and I've always wanted to go back and improve it, and add a tonne of systems that I didn't have the knowledge to add at the time.
