Yes, leetching will happen, which is bad for bandwidth and whatnot. But you are the admin, think up some way to stop that from happening. I think, moreover, what this site gives the best at is help with RPGXP. Maybe that should be the focus. But a very good script database is probably essential to getting people. Preferably those people who code the scripts is who you want here. We want people to use this site as the help forum and go-to forum for scripts and resources for what they create. If you want to be big, that is. But the focused help is always good. I guess i'm down for whatever now, I really like this forum.

Actually, there was a study done recently (I could look it up, but I'm lazy) that proved that the vocabulary used online hasn't been degrading overall vocabulary in teens, it has actually been improving. Basically, as long as you read and write, no matter what you read and write, it is beneficial to you. Also, sometimes I don't like cursing. But I, much like Leon, tend to curse alot. I write poetry and people complain that I curse to much, and they say it is like putting explosions in movies or something: some sort of cheap thrill. It's also been proved that curse words help relieve stress, though. But, again, I don't think anyone is going to disagree with you on the l33t speak stuff. Although I do enjoy using it in a sarcastic way. Also because I'm naturally good with language and pick up on stuff like that pretty easily.

I like this site alot more than the larger ones because it's simple and to the point. The more resources you guys get, the more users you will get. Now is the perfect time to just start ramping up the amount of scripts and things you get on here, because then all of the influx of new people (such as myself) will have more reasons to stay. I agree with Marked, about the quality thing. Quality content attracts quality users. This site is on the right path in that respect. I am going to stick around for sure, at least.

I have RPG Maker 2 I think. It's really really really difficult to understand if you've never messed around with these programs before. Almost impossible, really. I think they were all kind of a waste of time, if not just for some novel satisfaction. Even if you make the most amazing game on it, you can only play it with your memory card and the game. I suppose there's someway to get it on a computer, but how many people could get it off? Waste of time. Too much effort for absolutely no payoff. I was absolutely obsessed with the idea of the game when i was younger, and begged my mother for it for my birthday for probably a year. Then I played it for like 3 days and resorted back to GTA... :(

It seems as if I spoke too soon...Now I get an error: What is this for? Did I enter in the ID wrong? Is the ID just the number that the Item is on the list? If I enter in the number like, "33: Chicken Beak" it says Syntax Error, but if I enter just 33 it gives me the above error. So close, so close.

AAAAAAHHHHH THANK YOU SO MUCH! You are my new friend, and I have forgiven you for refusing to help me because I said "n00b". I will also not use n00b when referring to myself, as I usually use it as a prefix to any question I ask on a board that I've never been to before. Most of the time, if you don't outright tell people you don't know what you are doing, they will insult you and refuse to help. You reversed that course. This is a pretty simple principle in theory but is proving very difficult to actually accomplish. All I want to do is make it so you have to attain 8 Chicken Beaks from defeating chickens. The drop rate is 99%, when you finish the quest the NPC takes the Beaks and it's finished. I used a variable to determine the number of beaks you had, since in the game you can't actually determine a NUMBER of items just whether or not you have a SINGLE item. As if that wasn't frustrating enough, because, say, if you drop or sell this item, and have still defeated 8 Chickens, you will still complete the quest. However, seeing no immediate way around THAT problem I decided to press on, and see if I could get the variable to work in the battle so that when you defeat the Chicken it adds +1 to it. Well, that shit would never work, ever. I would just enter it in, in the battle field below the chicken troop. Nothing, nada, zilch. For the time being I have moved on and am now only requiring you to have 1 beak but the drop rate is now 20%. How can I get it so that when you defeat a troop it adds to the variable? Am I missing something important? I'm almost positive I've checked every other possible problem with the quest, and I can't see one for the life of me. I even changed the conditions to "when the chickens health is below 0%". Thank you, in advance, for helping me.

Ok, well I will not use your scripts anymore. Not only did you not answer a single question fully that you've been asked, but your also an elitist asshole. I hope you understand that you just refused to help someone who was brand new to this board because of some personal agenda you have against "l33t" terms, and are therefore giving a bad first impression of the "staff" on rmxpu.

I'm baffled at how to use scripts overall, so excuse me for being n00bish, but for some of us your instructions are very vague. 1) Where do I put "$game_party.mission[mission_id] = x"? 2) In regards to the menu: where do I put "$scene = Scene_MissionMenu.new"? Does it appear in the main menu? I have been trying to figure this out for a long time and am very annoyed.
