Urgh..honestly I cant understand most of that..just finished reading lesson 1 and a lil bit Lesson 2 section 2. The first command you will learn is print. What this will do is pop up in a window whatever is directly after it, and works as a great debugging tool Because after finished scripting all that it didnt do anything when testing the game, I dont really get most of it. what is .new? class Class_Name #This is the same as a constant variable. def initialize #The initialize method, it is always called. If not there, we have a problem... @variable = 0 #defines @variable print @variable #Prints @variable. end #To end initialize end #To end the class So that means it will show ''0'' in the window or what?? What's the difference with this >> print "Leon" isnt it easier to do this rather than include variable? And lesson 2..this kind of stuff >> width height x, y, lx, ly, text, alignment how am I suppose to know what numbers to use?I stopped reading after that :(

Thanks for all the replies! I read somewhere that PHP and MySQL is needed to create fb games, they didnt mention anything about C++. Isnt C++ learnt by college students?I'm pretty sure my brothers use this..but cant be bothered to ask them lol. So, in that case didnt the college students learn about C++ first?Is it even possible to master any of these programming languages by just going online and not ask someone else in real life?

When I search for programming and how to make game and stuff like that..all these pops up..but what are the differences?

oh I have both but I like RMXP more. yeah I seen the tuts but have not read it yet as time not allows me to, but I'm a complete beginner. it seems there are only little tuts though, I thought RGSS must be really complicated so I expect more tutorials. Could you list me the minimum of every software that I need to learn in order to create a good facebook game?And please tell me the most important one.

I have this software for a year now I think but stopped using it for months because of school. Now I'm completely clueless. I still have school but rather than learning how to make a game,now I'm more interested to learn about scripting so if someone suggest a great site for scripting tutorial it would be really helpful. and am I using RGSS or RGSS2 for scripting?I mean,in the script editor it didnt really say which exactly..so I'm totally clueless whether to search for what tutorial..all I type is scripting tutorial in google and it didnt really show that many results

well tried avast and eset nod but they didnt detect any virus..but it may be because it is outdated..looks like i have to download from the internet after all..oh well..

If I install another anti virus,this means that I have to uninstall kaspersky right?The anti virus you guys recommend that I actually heard of is only avast and eset nod,so might go with eset nod coz I did used avast before..if neither of this works,I might just aswell try all of em. Thanks a lot

Thanks for all the replies :) Well how can I send an email to them?And how can I prove that the rpg maker xp has been paid?I forgot how it all works about it...havent use it for quite a while coz I am too busy with school so I was planning to use it again when school holiday comes.. And the virus reduce my local disk c space...there's this one night that I scan my computer but had to shut it down coz of something..but the next day when I open the computer again,the local disk c space is 0! So I removed all the possible files I can from c to d and I have about 500mb left...And it's now gradually going down..and I cant even use photoshop anymore coz everytime I use it,my local disk c space is going down...I'm afraid it will be going down to 0 again and I can do nothing about it so havent use photoshop since... might going to install eset nod anti virus but will it work?The virus is reducing my local disk c space! Well I have kaspersky anti virus... Err I forgot my key..and have no idea what it is now since I havent open rmxp for like 6months...I assumed that I get a virus because I opened lots of game site....and I never heard all the above software...what they do? I already transfer all the possible files I can...and the problem is,I cannot again install some software..well um photoshop and rmxp ...I already tried giving rmxp installer/folders to my friend coz he want it,but he cant even open it..so this mean that I too cant install it all over again...

Right so first of all....who the jerk that created virus :angry: ??! I just realized that my pc has been infected by virus and it is in a serious state! So I was thinking of reinstalling the windows but this means that I lost all my software because it's imposible to install it again! And one of the software is rpg maker xp! One of my 2 most precious software...The thing is,one nice guy in here has already paid for the software so that I can use it forever...but if I reinstall the software,this means that it has to be paid AGAIN! How can I reinstall windows without losing the full version of rpg maker xp?

What font is that?This was the first time I downloaded new font just to make the logo so I didnt search much.And I'm used to make football club logos but not this kind of logo.So that's the first. Anyone know a good site that has font suitable to make logo and logo request forum that pay people to make logos?I'm only a beginner using photoshop though but it's worth the try.Youll never know if the client likes your work and then pays you :B): I live for that day :biggrin_002:

I do appreciate it if you dont use that word(See I edit it?).FYI that word means something very offensive to me and all people who are the same religion as mine.I do enjoy that game but once I found out what the game name and all the name of the animals in the game really means,I immediately deleted all of that game that I have in my laptop. lol.Yeah well I dont think I would make another 30map in other town because I often had problems with the inpassable tile and it's becoming really annoying now and I'm extremely fed up with it.Good thing I just discovered the solution of the problems.And needs a script huh..unless I find where to get that script on the internet,I dont think I would make that ranking system..Oh well I guess I have to think up of something else to make..or does anyone know where can I find the script?and Thanks! I already solved the problems I asked before so I edit this post to ask another.Can you make a ranking system?Says like when you beat a kid who rank 15,you got 500points and that added to the ranking system.And the ranking system can be access from the menu if you have certain item like ranking watch.But with beating people with different rank,you'll get different point.And this ranking system should also add points to other npc randomly.I couldnt figure out how to do this.Help please? And btw,I want to ask you guys who make games out there.When you make a house on a map do you always make the map in the house too?Coz I made 1 town using about 30maps...And I want to make about 8towns that means 240maps..and plus the village and the road,I dont know how many more I must make..

1-I was wondering how can you make italic and bold text?Does it needs a script or something? 2-Can you make a game like harvest moon using rpg maker xp? 3-Where can I get tileset for roads and cars? 4-Is it possible to include a car shop in a game,where when you buy it,it pops up outside the car,and when you click c at the car,the door opens and your character can get into the car and can drive it?
