I really would like to go the route of scripting it out of the menu but i dont know how

I just started and im doing fine with most events the only problem is that i want my game to use save points. I want to make it so in order to save you have to use the action button on an object. I've even made the points. the only problem is there is a save command in my menu! how do i get rid of this/ edit my menu further?
