  1. Hey Bob, thanks! Yeah, after looking at some of the differences in VXA I'm kinda disappointed, especially with the mapping system, and the few upgrades look like they could be done with scripts in XP. Guess I'll be sticking with XP then. Slightly sad now that I went and bought VXA, but since I own it I can grab the things from the RTP that will be worth it. (Sounds, music, etc.)
  2. Hello all, Kadyaknight here, but you just call me Kadya if you prefer. I'm back after a rather long absence. Some of you may remember me from my short stay here, about 3 years ago I believe. Glad to see the place is still standing, and I gotta say, love the decor change. ^_^ Anyways, I'm back and getting seriously hype about trying to make my game a reality once more. As such I figured I'd pick up VXAce. I do have one question though, one that hopefully some of the veteran "Makers" around here might be able to help me with, though I'm sure they hear it all the time. Which one is better overall? XP -or- VXAce i.e what makes one worth using over the other. Thanks in advance. Feel's good to be back. ~Kadyaknight

Meh, it's not that bad when it's only for a day.

  6. Lol,^_^ I wasn't saying you were, I was just making a statement.
  7. The idea would be to sell it for money, but only if I got enough positive feedback for it.(Side note, not even close to being done.) Thanks for the info Crimson. And that would be 20$ to the owner of each script for each game I publish, yes? I wouldn't even think about making a game, be it free or to sell without crediting anyone and everyone who's resources were used in it's production.
  8. Here you go, I hope I did it right, if not lemme know what I did wrong and i'll try and fix it.
  9. (Not sure if this is in the right place but here goes.) I know it's possible to publish a game made with RPG Maker programs, bigfishgames has a few of them, Mostly I was wondering if and what type of scripts, sprites and other resources, made by people other than myself, would be, or are, legally applicable for use within a project that is planned to be published and sold for money. I am really wondering if this is true for certain scripts that I already have: Ccoa's UMS Slanted bars by SephirothSpawn Blizzard's Gradient bars I was also wondering if they'res a side view or active battle system that is legal for use in a publication. Any and all input and feedback would be greatly appreciated.
  10. So long since I joined this place, been sorta busy now I'm back to work on my game.

    Your Pics

Lol, my brother has that same shirt. Here's one of me. Oh and my cat Nala. Sorry for the bad quality, I don't know why it made it all blurry.
  12. Well, I guess all I can really say is [General Pepper Voice] good luck. [/General Pepper Voice]
  13. Thanks, I tried it out, It's got tons of stuff to it, not free but a 14 day free trial. If I can figure out some things in it by then who knows, maybe I'll get the full version. Thanks again.
  14. Thanks Marked, I'll let you know how it turns out. Well, I don't know what it is, but I'ts not working, thanks though. {EDIT!} Woot It's working now, I'm not sure what it is, I'm going to carefully examine what the difference is so that we know how to get it right. I think that the new version had something different, then I tacked on the extra end that totalsticks tried for the old one, and now it works. I found it, the version that totalsticks gave me, the one with the extra end was actually right, aside from one capitalization. his line 11 read like this: @window = MyCustomwindow.new It needed to have the Capital W in Window Anyways, thanks totalsticks, Marked, for helping me solve this Problem. Lol, I just found the reason his version didn't have the capital W, something to do with the formatting of the way posting a code turns out, it changed the W to a w, wierd. All you have to do to the code is make sure line 11 has those caps. Working Scene_ShowWindow
