with the particles effects, you could have a boulder faling down off variouyse platforms for a side scroller or 2D based game or a wall exploding with bricks hitting things or maybe a waterfall, when player hits objects the object movs and hits things etc obviously I dont know the extent of it -

old computers wont affect speed i agree, but compared to modern day spec it will seem slow and things do age, technology does deteriorate and the componants might not be that great- manufacturer wise and spec wise - hnce why i asked for the rig spec -

student finance.... its a mess, bad communication to each other (staff), lies, losing details, delays, 30 mins plus minimum (but theyve sped up now to like 10-15)

lets slow things down a bit, his computer is running slow, thast most likely down to old age has there been any unusual issues, like blue screens, random crashes/ freezes, restarts etc? btw scan any externals, and when i asked for you spec, the vitals i need to know are - ram, cpu, gpu and hdd space -
fire wall blocking it? right click as admiistrator? and it wont be your rig spec thats not letting it even start

yes! they now allow UK to sign up :) but i signed up with american ddress, guess ill just wait n see -
I really agree with Kage! and I'd say about 10-15 mins or a bit more depending, I feel a demo shoudlbt be too long (30 mins) because the player might get bored of it if they are a quick player and not too long so the long players want more to play and buy the game

spec plx could be loads of things, but mainly how much hdd space you got left, clear any crap thats ont he computer and limit any useless start-up programs (dxdiag - start-up tab) -
yeah my friend used to get over 300 spam eails a day
