  1. I think we may be looking to solve the same problem. Perhaps. In my game my first scene is inside a train, which is all well and good, a few screen shakes every second give the impression of movement as long as there is ambient sound. However, outside the train - on the carriage - it just won't do. So my thinking is to get a speeding panorama script. A long panoramic landscape to shoot by from right to left. Or left to right, y'know, whatever. I imagine you could employ the same technique with your road, for example, underneath your sprites. Going top to bottom. However, I've no idea how to do this. But there's my idea. If you find a way, let me know :)
  2. Does anyone know of a method to make a moving panorama background? So, say, for instance, your scene was taking place on the top of a moving train carriage. The scene would of course, be stationary but the panorama would have to move quickly from right to left to invoke motion. For my train scene at the moment I've got a screen shake of power 1 taking place every second, which, whilst inside the train, is very convincing. But outside the train is another matter. My ideas to do this would be, A long repeating landscape panorama graphic A script to allow this repeating landscape, once it comes to the end of its image, to repeat without the player's knowledge I've got the theory, but I can't seem to nail *exactly* the process in which I should do this, not to mention I wouldn't know where to start with putting in a script. Though I'm trying :S If you've got any insight, your help would be very much appreciated :) Thank you
  3. Hi, I've just signed up to the forums and thought I'd say hello. I don't often participate all that much on message boards but I reckon I'd like to be a little bit more active as RPG Maker XP looks to be something that would be a tad daunting to take on by myself. I'm relatively new to RPG Maker XP, having just used up the trial - so I've got to grips with the interface etc, but I've bought the full program and so am definitely going to put some work into it. To get my money's worth, if nothing else.
