Was 9/11 really a terrorist attack?
Gwark replied to Jesse66126's topic in Debate and Mature Discussion
I never called it a joke. 9/11 was a very serious matter. I just question whom was behind it, and if indeed it was orchestrated by the US government, then wouldn't it be an even more serious event? And wouldn't you rather the actual truth came out? Marked: Yes I understand I am in dangerous waters. I do wish to apologise for the tone in my last post. I had just got back from work and was very tired. I still stand behind what I wrote, however in retrospect I could have chosen my words more carefully. -

I'm interested in why it offends people. I mean, sure it was bad, and a lot of people died that day, but having a decent (which we seem to be having right now) discussion about who may have been behind it all can hardly be seen as offensive in my opinion (again, no offence meant, and if you can explain to me why such a subject would be offensive then I will happily listen/read). Also, I don't recall saying that Pearl Harbour was actually orchestrated by the american government, but they sure as sh*t knew it was coming. And 9/11 was absolutely positively just a way to recall the after-pearl-harbour feeling that many americans had so they could invade the middle east. Also, anyone who replies to my first inquiry as to why you find this topic offensive with a whole pro american rant, will be smitten down hard, as I can tell you now america is not the greatest country in the world, and as much as it pains me to say it so undelicately (as 9/11 was in every which way a great tragedy) they had it coming. -

Go watch Loose Change if you haven't seen it yet (I think it's still available for free on Google Video or some such site). People focus too much on the Twin Towers when looking at the 9/11 happenings (which by all accounts looked very much like a controlled demolition). But what I liked about Loose Change was the whole bit about the Pentagon plane (seriously go watch that and then get back to me), the wreckage is inconsistent with every other plane crash in history! Apart from all that I believe that there were Islamic fundamentalists who hijacked the planes, and it is certainly very possible that they thought they were in a (what we call) terrorist attack. However it is also true that the people who orchestrated this attack were put in power and funded (both directly and indirectly) by (amongst others) the US government. It is also true that this is not the first attack (terrorist or otherwise) that the American government had prior knowledge of that something was going to happen (going even further, Cheney apparently said in the times leading up to 9/11 "What America needs is another Pearl Harbour"), Pearl Harbour was also an attack that they knew was possibly going to happen (rather convenient that most of the US navy was ordered to dock at PH leading up to the attack). I would like to take a bit more time to actually provide you with more info and links to what I just said but I really have to run and get to work before I'm late, So I trust you all to google me. I will check back on this topic later today (probably after midnight for me) when I get back from work and will try to hunt down more info (used to be a conspiracy nut (illuminati, bilderberg, etc). Now i'm just in it for the humour. The Obama Deception cracks me up every time) Later guys, ps. glad to see the forum is back up! -

Hey guys. Saw this thread and decided to check out the game. Enjoying it so far but do you all have a clan/guild or whatever? I made an empire character but won't mind switching to alliance if that's what you're all on. -
@rgangsta actually I would call that hypocrite
-
I hadn't realised you rplaced it lol. OT: Anything can be a gangsta name if you just put it in a big furry coat and shower it with dollar bills infront of a video camera

mine would have to be Richie Rich (RR or DoubleR), as that used to be my nickname (not that I was ever rich but I was out of work for 6 months and managed to get by quite well so all my working friends started calling me richie rich). So yea. Also since when is cr*p still a swear, I mean come on, what is this the 1950s?

You are absolutely right, the beat (the bass drum and the random twisty sounds) could do with a little variation. thanks

Hello all, some of you think I may have already disappeared, but I can assure you this is most certainly not the case! I have been checking in vaguely regularly but I just haven't been replying to most topics because I didn't really have anything to say about most of them. However, the time has come for me to start showcasing my musical skills. So I have created this topic. The song I showcased in my welcome topic has not been finished yet, as I have just started a new job and lately when I sit down I just can't seem to go back and fix or play around with older stuff. A bad habit, I know. However a new song has been released, and I must say I'm quite pleased with it myself. It's a very minimalistic and moody piece. I hope you all enjoy it! Link: http://www.purevolume.com/Gwark (it's the only track on there at the moment, more will follow as I create satisfactory sounds). Hints, tips and comments (of a friendly nature) are much appreciated!

What is the best video editor?
Gwark replied to FranklinX's topic in Computers, Internet and Tech Talk
Premiere + After Effects (for special effects) hands down. and: everything is free if you know where to look. -
http://www.google.com/dictionary?q=majorly&langpair=en|en&hl=en&sa=X&ei=DuNZTLfMEJOJOPOuqNcN&ved=0CBQQmwMoAA so majorly is a word. I'm not a christian anymore so boohoo to the god thing. The only advice I can really give you is find what you want and go for it. Nothing happens without a little effort on your part.

I don't think he meant leave the forums, just the conversation. I hope anyway...

I used to be all about Fruity Loops all the way. I hated Ableton (partly because I didnt get how it worked). But a friend sat me down and showed me this and that. It's basically a similar deal to FLstudio only the interface in ableton is much cleaner. Fruity tends to look a little cluttered and messy sometimes, especially with that green look they have going on.

Standard windows 7, I just chose a solid colour as background, and unlocked the taskbar (right click on it to get the menu) and then dragged it to the top. Applications on the right are the Native Instruments Komplete 6 Package, and the bottom one is Ableton Live, the former are a collection of music software and vst plugins and the latter is music production software also.
