Yes, an RPG being programmed from scratch in C++ with OpenGL for cross-platform compatibility.
That means you'll be able to run it on Windows, Linux, Mac, BSD, Solaris, etc...
So without further ado, I'll get to the prettier details!
Story Synposis
In a world torn by wars both in the light and in the shadows, where sovereigns constantly compete for territory, resources, valor and supremacy, where the forgotten darker side of society constantly vies for control of those very sovereigns...
You assume the role of a high ranking member of one of the 'shadow groups' bent on secretly ruling the known world, sent on a mission to raid a base of your long-standing rival, a cult of devil worshipers.
However, when the raid plan goes awry because of a third party, you find yourself in an unfamiliar place, feeling drained, and alone.
Hijinks ensue as you pursue the path back to your masters, fighting off crusaders determined to end your evil, bounty hunters, cultist pursuers, not to mention the beasts of the wilderness!
Characters
Do not have set names because the player will get to name them :P
The Heroine is one of the subcommanders of the shadow organization she belongs to, with a powerful offense both in melee and magic, her sword is often found at the lead of charges. Blue eyed, black haired, clad in an armored trench coat, and, unlike the typical main character, experienced.
The Kid is found by the heroine soon after he causes an accident. Horribly scarred from backfiring spells, this albino kid got massive amounts of latent magical energy he needs to learn to control. For when he's out of juice, he's got a crossbow, too.
The Demon defects from the cult for the sake of 'research' to join the heroine's misadvantures. Winged, blue, and thirsty for both blood, knowledge, and other things, he wields the cursed infernal magics as well as a massive, arm-mounted blade.
System
As mentioned above, the game will be programmed in C++ with OpenGL. Controls will be configurable to either keyboard or mouse. The battles will take place in the map area itself, which, by the way, is pre-drawn and does not use tiles. The battle system is turn based, utilizing uneven turns based on character speeds.
