Not bad, but is there going to be more dialogue? I didn't get a lot of the first few pages. Mind if I do my own captions for the house fire scene? I had a funny idea.

I wanted to do something similar in my project. I wanted at certain points for the player to choose which leader (and/or plot-necessary) character to use, but have both stories form back into the main story.

Sure thing, mate! Just download Character Maker XP, and you'll be able to create them for yourself. If you can only get close to what you want using that, then send it to me and I'll do the tweaking you want.

I know that there's an event for the name. Look at the third event page, and hunt down "Name Input Processing" or something like that. Make that happen first by starting the player in a specialized map. That's all I know. They're probably tutorials out there about it, and they'll know better than I do. Story-wise, too many legendary things. Perhaps make this "Legendary Soldier" instead a person who's been researching the legendary gems and has a lead on their whereabouts. Maybe the ancient gems could be necessary components in a super-weapon to explain their significance.

I can kinda see how you'd event the driving, but how would you get the player to automatically go forward while still letting them maneuver?

So I'm making an RPG adaptation of a book (it's listed as my current project). Now, what should I focus on first? Adapting the story for what RPGmaker can do, or what the gameplay will be like? I have a good idea of what the gameplay will be like. It'll mostly be a normal RPG, but often going into stealth missions or driving portions that will either be like a shoot-em-up or one of those drive down a road and dodge traffic games. I'll give details on those if asked.
