    I just had the thought that, had George Lucas wanted to go a much darker route for Star Wars, Anakin could have raped Padme, removing the strange plot-hole where she still likes him even though he's really freaking creepy, but that would tell a different story and I much prefer the story Lucas was tring to tell.
