I looked there before posting and there wasn't anything that helped me. Thank you for your response, though! I mentioned the browser/add-ons because it's caused me problems before when trying to install something that needed an internet connection, that's all. And I use Windows XP. Thank you for your help. I tried what you said, and it doesn't look like it's even trying to connect to the server. Whee.

Hello. Sorry to be a bother, but I tried to download the RMXP trial version yesterday and everything was fine up until I got to where it asks for the activation key. It would not stop trying to connect to the server. I let it go for four hours and it just stayed on the loading screen - there wasn't even an error message. I tried to leave it until today just in case there was a problem on their side, but it's still doing it. Things I've already done: - I've made sure I'm connected to the internet - I use Firefox and NoScript and I thought that might have been a problem, so I tried it again while globally allowing scripts. No luck. - Uninstalled and reinstalled the trial version I was wondering if this might have something to do with the problems over in Japan right now, but I was looking around trying to see if I could find some way to fix it myself before needing to ask for help and I've seen people having this problem even before that. Not saying it couldn't be, but I'm wondering if there's something I can do. Thank you very much.
