Yup, seen it several times. I like it. Love the wickedness of the witch (Idea: blood magic), and MORGAN FREEMAN!! as the "painted man". Question: Are you planning on making the game following the movie, or just use the setting and plots within it?

I like this idea, and want to join but I don't know if my skills would be up to what you expect. So give me an idea for a map and i'll see what I can pull out, also if you need some writing I think I could also help with that. That's it, give me some ideas to get my brain cells working and I'll see what I can do.

Sorry, I wasn't able to reply for the weekend, couldn't log in due to the changes in the forum. It seems that you pretty much got it down now, just one error, in the desert map the switches were already activated when I got there. And good one with the trick, first time that the game has defeated me.

Thanks Ace, nevr tought about checking the Help file for this. Looks like I have some reading for the rest of the day.

I want to tweak the DBS a bit too, or at least know how it works at a base level. 1.- How is the hit/miss chance calculated? 2.- How is the damage calculated? What I want to know is the stats that interfere with these things, and how do they interfere, like, is there a formula? So if any coder ,or anyone really, can help I would be really glad :)

OMG nudity! Now my innocence is gone. Joking, but I think you should at least put that under a spoiler with a warning, we might get some kiddos here. Actually I don't know what's this site policy with that. Now, the waist area seems really weird. And the hands, I know the hands are hell to draw but that just means you need to put a little more attention to it. A bit more of a nose wouldn't hurt her right? Aside from those facts everything else seems good to me (for an initial sketch). I lover her eyes =3.

Really like the first one. It has a more "mature" feeling, compared to the rtp style and most others that I've seen. Never liked the VX style, so my opinion on tHE second one doesn't matter. And thirdly SPAGUETTI LIMBS! Now, joking aside, it looks too flat, it needs a bit more depth to it, add some shadows to it and it will look great.

Error with the equipment script, right at launch. Now I feel like I'm the one driving you crazy.

If you click on the rockethub page you can see the rewards. The page for donations. Duh!

That's not the only one, there are several of them scattered around the maps, but I didn't find that weird as you can still open those. WHERE. ARE. THE. MUSHROOMS!? Seriously, I can only find one, and since you said you made them all the same I feel like i'm going blind. And that Ogre "I could sit here all day", I hate that guy already, add him as a boss just so I can kill him. Oh, and if I pick dark magic at the start I get an INT potion instead of a book is this correct?

Ha! I tought I did, but it seems like I didn't :sweatdrop: OK, here it goes: Review: Dungeons of Eternity (Demo) Dungeons of Eternity is a simple game with a simple premise: you're inside an endless labyrinth of interconected dungeons, and you -the protagonist- need to get out. How are you going to do it? Again, it's simple, traverse the dungeons until you find a way out. To accomplish this you'll need to fight your way through a horde of seemingly endless enemies using blade and spell, loot their dead bodies, and upgrade your gear using a very intrincate skill system. At the end, the boss is waiting for you, do you have what's needed to slay him and find freedom? BATTLE SYSTEM ** This game uses Cogwheel's RTAB but not to it's full potential, the battles feel slow, dull, and repetitive with a system that should be able to keep you on your toes. Add to that the fact that each time you enter a battle (every 5 steps) the music is cut a and starts again once you leave the battle, this makes the battles a bit annoying. MUSIC ***+ Even if this game uses only the standard music included in RMXP, it does it a good way. Most of the maps achieve a state of balance between what you see and what you hear, but in others the music just seems out of place. GRAPHICS **** The use of only RTP and "RTP style" tilesets and characters make this game have a sense of coherence. The maps are just wonderfull, they make full use of the layers, fogs, and tints, which adds a lot to the immersion into the game and it's setting. GAME MECHANICS ***+ The puzzles are, again, very simple, making it easier on the player to keep advancing, but you are left wanting something a little bit more complex. The level desing is pretty good, it makes full use of a very compact area and thus avoinding the problem of a lot of backtracking. The skill system it's very interesting though sometimes it feels like it has no impact on the game whatsoever, having one magic skill or another feels exactly the same, the weapon skills are exactly the same only applying to different types of weapons, and the bonus they give make no difference when you can just find a completely better weapon -even if it's from another category- and use just that. The smithing menu is a very awesome mechanic allowing you to improve your amor and weapons, but this being only a demo, makes it feel very limited. The alchemy menu is great too, but suffers from the same problems as smithing. The mechanics are certainly good, but they sometimes leave you wondering, why should I pick x skill over y skill when I can do x even without the skill. STORY *** Yes, I know it's a dungeon crawler, but that does not take away the fact that there should be something more than "you're trapped, do you think you can get out?". Adding little pieces of story, like why are you trapped here, what are the plans of that guy that trapped you, who was here before me, would add a lot to the experience. OVERALL ***+ I really enjoyed this game, it has a lot of potential and a lot to improve too. I would really like to see this project finished and not get scrapped like the thousands upon thousands of RMXP games. That would make me sad, very sad. And now to the glitches and errors: Swamp map: The chests remain untouchable, this time I found the one in the center of the map cannot be reached, and the one in the bottom right corners is still unopenable (is that a word?). Earth cave: some of the mining holes and chests were already open once i got there, I was growing paranoind in this one as I tough you had added some onther enemy to the game, but maybe it was just my bad memory playing games on my mind, will re-check this one later. Beach map: it has only a small problem in the mapping department you can walk through the hills, see attached pic. The tiles circled in red have their passage priorities midified as I could move through them. It seems that is now mostly bug free as i've been able to beat it 4 times in a row. Also, I have a challenge for the other forum members. HARD MODE: Put all your stat points into AGI, all your skill points into Medicine, you're only allowed to use the starting equipment and healing magic, no smithing, no alchemy, only use the potions you find. NIGHTMARE MODE: All stat points go towards INT, all skill points go into Daggers, only use starting items, no smithing, no alchemy, cannot use any other items you find.

No problem Liz :) I really like the demo, so it's part of wanting to see it finished and beat it. OK, now to the bugs and glitches: -Forest map with the river: the ogre won't go away after I destroy the mushrooms. -Swamp map: the chest in the bottom-right corner of the map cannot be opened, you can only check it from the right and it says it can't be opened from that angle. -Smithing: sometimes when I temper my armor with iron, the result says it changed the material to Bronze, is that supposed to happen? I've had this "error" since yesterday but forgot to report it. This ussually happens when my smithing is low at 1 or 2, I haven't raised it more than that. -Book of water: the description says it teaches Waterblast, but the name of the spell is actually Waterball, a bit of a nitpick but I tought you might want to fix that. Finally! I beat it! Thief-like build level 2 with waterball lvl 2. Second time in a row. Paladin-like build level 3 with Francisca. -Beach map (I think): Couldn't move just turn around, when I checked the Gate behind me I got the AMS error from before. -Desert map: if you use a bomb on the top left mound the top right mound dissapears too.

Desert map, I switch the three switches and the spikes go down but I can't walk to the other side. Same error as before in the ice cave, I go for the rightmost switch then when I check the others it tells me that they have already been switched, then I go to the door and the error from before pops up. Another one, I selected the Dark Magic skill but I got a book of light, is that right? I find it weird because later with that same character I found a book of Darkness. Will keep updating as I find more.

Do i still make it in? Also, another question: are the "realistic" style autotiles fair game, or will we haveto use the squarey ones?
-
I can't, I always get the error in the ice cavern, and in the fire cavern I can't figure out how to open the gate

I think I found one. In the ice cave, I switched the switch to the far right, then went back to the left and when I tried to go in I got an error, something to do with the advanced message script. Gonna play again and if I find it i'll take a screenshot. Here it is:
