I need something where the player can only pick up a certain number of items at a time, like 10 (doesn't matter how many of each), but has to discard an item to pick up another--which I already evented. I just need a script or a way to event where you can only have a set number of items in inventory or you can't pick up more stuff. Can anyone help me? Thanks!

Hey there! My partner and I are working on a fangame of Hetalia, and it's going to be a fairly large project, so we're pretty much doing our best to get along and program in RMXP as much as we can. Only problem is, we don't have many tilesets that we can actually use for the atmosphere and settings we want. Our fangame is a horror RPG--we've found few tilesets for that effect, and although we're playing around with the screen tone and fog settings as much as we can, we find ourselves, well, short on many other things. If you can sprite characters and tilesets and might hold an interest in Hetalia (not required (:), please do comment below. We're in need of help. ((I sure hope I posted this in the right place.)) Thank you!

Wait, sorry, figured this out myself. Thanks anyways!

So I've been trying to get my game going and managed to get further in than I thought I would. Well, until I had a problem with trying to use common events to get the user to select an item from the menu before he can set it down in a certain, assigned spot (on top of a table). I tried to get it working and got as far as this: http://www.gdunlimited.net/media/uploads/manager/cards-example-24670.jpg But when I have the player stand in that certain spot and select the item from the menu, nothing happens. I also have a screenshot of the Item that I created in the database: http://www.gdunlimited.net/media/uploads/manager/cards-example-2-24670.jpg I used variables to assign the event "cards"'s position and the player's x and y, subtracting one from the player's Map X so that he'll be standing to the right (I think) of the cards before he can select the item and use it. I don't know what I did wrong, or how I screwed up with the eventing, but please help! I'd be grateful!

Hey, would this script work? http://save-point.org/thread-2578.html That's an 8-direction walking script, maybe that'd be useful.

I've had a few problems with Ccoa's UMS script. It's great, but it's just overdone for what I need to do. So... does anyone know how I can take the choice windows (which now hover above the right side of my message box because of the UMS) and make it back to the way it was, inside the actual message box? I don't want to remove anything from the script... because the option could come in useful in the future. But I just need (for one scene!) to change the position of the choice box to INSIDE of the message box. If anyone could help, I'd be really happy. Danke!

Okay, thanks Bob, I just bumped up the size of my text and it'll fit now. Thanks!

Ah, that's awful. Is there any way to alter the script to move the arrow down further? Thanks anyways, Bob.

I tried to do that just to see if it would work, but that's not the problem. Here, I'll post an image of what's wrong... http://fc02.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2013/141/8/0/ums_problem_by_germanyxitaly1000-d664bji.png The text is aligned all the way to the left is the problem. There's a big space to the right... I was trying to get that space out. It's not noticeable when you use facesets for main characters, but when you're talking to NPC's, it's rather disturbing and looks rough and unplanned. Thanks for the tip, though.

Hi! I just started using Ccoa's UMS script in my RPG Maker XP game, but I noticed a few problems with the text width... I probably should explain more. The UMS script allows you to put facesets in, so that's what I did, but when I use a normal message box with no faceset (after I erased the graphic), the text won't move all the way to the end of the box. There's a great big gap of emptiness to the right that shouldn't be there. Is there any way to solve this? If I can help it, I really don't want all that space there. Thanks in advance. :) Oh yeah, plus, is there any way to move the message box all the way to the bottom of the screen? Mine just hovers above the bottom, close but not quite at the edge. Thanks!
