Hi. I'm trying to make a common event that will change an actors name when they have a specific ring equipped. However, using equipment as a check doesn't seem to work. I've tried several different items and even if they have the item equipped the event does nothing. However, if I use something like party member x is in the party it works just fine. I've even tried just doing something else like giving them a skill when it's equipped. Tried doing it without a common event and same result. Any idea when this might be fixed? Still having the issue.

I didn't see a topic anywhere so I figured I'd open one here. None of the images in the resources sections are loading for me. They just have the broken link icon. Battlers, Title Screens etc. Tried on both Firefox and Chrome.

Anyways, basically I set the defense or magic defense of the monster to a ridiculous number so you do 0 with attacks. I also gave the piercing attacks a special element that only the monster will have any interaction with and made the monster immune to said element so the piercing attack also does 0
