This is my first topic on this site.
I'm working on a game that is too complex for me, this mean it will take a lot of time to make. But before I work many hours on a specific engine of the game, I would like some feedback.

Of ruins and souls
Description :
You awake in a dark cave, you don't remember how to get there, but a blocked path, corpse and old chariot behind you make you think that you felt a long way in that cave and that you are the only survivor. But even that, there is something strange about that possibility. First, the corpses and the chariot are old and rotten. Second, there seems to be a working lantern next to a sheet of paper where it is writed :
"You will need this, keep fate"

You decide to move foward and find a way out of this cave. You quickly found the wall that protect an underground city from danger...
Mechanics :
There is many mechanics I want to put in that game, but, there some that I'm not sure if that would be of anyway good to actually put it in.
-Survival JRPG style
The game is an JRPG style, you move from place to place and gain experience from all monster defeated. But I don't want to concentrate of fighting, I want the player to try to strangle from place to place and survive monsters and other danger.
-Alchemy magic
I want to use a special kind of "magic" system, spell are unlocked with special scroll and use item found on the map or are drop by defeated enemy. This item are elements from the periodic table (hydrogen, carbon, etc)
-Skill mastery
As character use type of weapon and armor, the increase their mastery of this equipment, gaining new skills and becoming stronger, similar to classes in final fantasy 3.
-Hunger
The player will need to find food to keep is character alive, when the character don't eat enough, he became weaker.
-Cooking, crafting, homonculus and transmutation
As the player progress, he will gian other special skill. He will be able to cook better food, upgrade weapon and armor, summon homonculus that will fight for him (this is not actually summon magic, it is a monster that fight at your side until he die) and the ability to deconstruct item to built new one.
Aesthetics :
The game will have a dark ton. Maps will be dark, there is little sign of what ahead of you and you discover more and more info about the city's secrets.
History :
the underground city used for my game actually exist in real life (but it is not underground) and enemy, equipment and history have some how existed in our history. But the city contain more secret to it that is added to make it mor interesting.
Inspiration :
To make it simple, I start creating this game after having played to "Dark Souls". So my game will be similar to it in some point.

What do you think about it for the moment ? I didn't give much information about it, but it is still in early development.
