  9. Hi, I made this character for my game, but now I need an RTP-style faceset for them, think anyone can help me? I might add more at some point, depending on if I can get this one finished or not ^^; for the guy, I'd like red eyes, the girl, kind of an aqua color.
  10. Alright, so now, I'm looking to do an event like this: Talk to little boy, he tells you that his sister lost something, and to talk to her Talk to her, and she describes what she lost. Find it, take it back to the boy, who gives you a reward. I want the player to have to follow all of the steps though, and not be able to actually find the necklace until talking to the boy and then the girl, and then the conversation with the boy to change when you have found the necklace, and then you get a reward

I know on occasion, I have called myself a "noob" (I did so in my introduction thread here, actually) but, the way I use it, is more like saying "I really have no idea what so ever as to what I am doing" moreso than an insult or degrading myself. I may have a glimmer of talent, and extreme dedication to do something, but with absolutely zero knowledge in said category, is when I would title myself "noob". In this context, I don't view it so much as an insult, but a decent classifying of your skill level. Seeing how much it bothers people on here, I would gladly substitute it, since I do want to form friendships and a level of respect amongst you all, and so I'm actually sorry for saying it at all. as for people calling others "noobs" I think it just shows their level of inadequacy with whatever it is, be it online gaming or whatever, and their need to elevate themselves over others.
  13. Yeah, positive, I copied your code, and erased the script in the Scene_Menu and pasted yours in, and then did the same with Scene_End, I've tried it three different times, I'll keep messing with it though, I'm sure its something simple im not doing ^^

  19. Yes, I know, this will be very cliche to most of you. This is my VERY first project, so please, bear with me. I am doing everything I can to the best of my ability. I do not have a team for this, I'm flying solo. I've installed a few scripts into it, I hope you all enjoy Story There once were beings called 'Dragons' that were powerful, more so than humans could ever dream to be, but as fate would have it, they weren’t the strongest. Unbeknownst to the great Dragons there was a race that lived deep in the planet, plotting their rise against these champions that maintained peace. Humans came to know these beings as 'The Germ' due to the fact they infected others in order to reproduce. 'The Germ' did try once to infect and destroy the populace of humans and Dragons, but were driven off by two warriors who stood far above their kind, A dragon man, and a human female. Their great strength coming from their child, and the desire to give him a peaceful world to live in. Peace reigned on for what felt like lifetimes, and The Germ fell from memories....until the day dragons disappeared from the planet completely. Once these champions were gone, the Germ returned and met no resistance from the weaker race. The human warrior was long dead, lost to old age, and her child nothing but an old man. Hope was completely lost on the remaining inhabitance. Animals, once peaceful and kind began raging against their human companions, and monsters were born, even the wilderness and nature itself was lost to these creatures. On the verge of annihilation, the human race devised a plan, to use the technology that was left by the dragons, to recreate the two warriors. Their work was rewarded by the return of the two mighty warriors, though the mighty dragon race was not to be seen again, but a child was once again born between the two. However, not all was like it had been. Humans had grown greedy jealous in their time alone, and destroyed their created warriors, leaving the baby to die. However fate intervened once again, and a lonely old man found him and brought him back home to the town of Dregnan. The boy was raised with no knowledge of how he came into the care of the old man. It has been seventeen years since the old man took child into his home. He has been engaged to marry his childhood friend, and take over his father’s position as mayor of the town and have his fairytale ending. However not all is peaceful, for disaster has been fated to befall the town. Now, there are a few things, I threw in for filler names, they are working names, and will most likely be changed by the final release. Those things are: "The Germ" "Dregnan" Screenshots I hope you guys like what you see so far, I havn't done a whole LOT yet, script credit so far goes to: Modern Algebra- Integrated Reserve Party Yanfly- Display Victory Aftermath, Menu System Options RPG Tankentai, Kylock(translation) Side View battle System Influences: Fans of the Breath of Fire series will see many things(I hope) that are similar in style of story telling, and gameplay, it is one of my absolute favorite series, and I wanted to somehow pay homage to it. This, however, should not be considered a "fan game" to the BoF series. Again, Comments, suggestions, and everythign is appreciated, just try to keep things constructive for me, please

How can I disable(or remove) the save option on the menu? I want the player to ONLY be able to save via statues I provide

  23. Question 1: I'm working on eventing the intro to my game, and I keep finding myself in an endless loop. I have this (its just a test, not the final thing yet, mind you): my event @>Fadeout screen@text -,-, Normal, Bottom : : What is your name? @> Name input processing: Hero, 8 characters @>text -,-, Normal, Bottom : : Our story begins as \n[1] comes home one afternoon @Fadein screen @> Control Switches: [0002:Name input] = ON @> (page 2) switch: Name input is ON List of event commands is left blank Solution: switch to parallel process, and use "Self Switches" for organization. Question 2: How to disable save feature in menu Solution: Event options page 3-> change save access I'm sure theres something very minute that I'm over looking, but I cant figure it out. I also have this event set on both pages as autorun, below characters edit: Forgot to mention, im running VX edit edit: I'll update first post with my questions and their solutions, to make it easier for me (and anyone else that might have the same question) easier to follow

Thanks for the warm welcomes, I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions for you guys eventually (Once I get into the harder areas of my development) Right now I just threw together a simple, small town to test events and stuff, since I'll be looking to make it a max party of 3 (out of 8 characters), a sideview battle system, and eventually, get a CMS (once I find one I actually like) ^^ Right now, I'm just now learning how let the player input the name for the main character (using the \n[1] tag) I found that rather nifty (I'm a total noob)
  25. Hi, I just signed up here after googling some scripts for my rmvx project. I'm completely new to game making (never finished a project before) And am looking to learn everything I can about this system, I went from 2k3 to vx, so I have no skill at all with the rgss feature, though I can be a fast learner. I'm hoping to learn as much as possible while here. I don't really know what else to say, so I guess if you have questions, just ask, and I'll do the same ^^;
