Guest BubbleBoy Report post Posted October 9, 2006 And as so it may be... that this isn't a game. Ok ok... this isnt really a game, its just... a walk-around-a-website sort of thing. A place where i RP is called, 'Everpine RPG' and they, no offence, have a stinky little map. So i decided to make a whole map in RPGXP where you get to travel around the village! it would include all the characters houses, shops, farms, buildings, town, parks etc. It's not too big the map itself. It's made up of... Misty (Waterfall) Mountain Plains Forests Lovely Coast Town Medival Castle The castle is sort of... an old castle that was there for a very long time. So overall, if anyone has hints or whatever... And I thought since you guys have never seen any of my 'games', i would finish this off and post it here for you all to see. :) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Satiel 0 Report post Posted October 9, 2006 So, basically you're creating an adventure type role playing game? Sounds interesting. So, what kind of gameplay? Free-roaming, where the character gets to walk around, visiting various people and trying to fit into the community? Quest-based, where the character must finish quests from fellow village members and gain rewards? Mini-game based, where the character gets to explore the towns and locations, playing mini-games as they go alone *like fishing, puzzles, etc. Thats basically the first question you should answer. Once you know what kind of game you want people to enjoy, then you can move on. I hope this helps make you think hard about what you're doing. It's just a large map, and your character can go around to go up a mountain, go on a boat to a different island, explore the jungle, go to the tavern, visit characters from the website and stuff. So say on the site a guy name 'Karl' had a house on the waterfall. You can simply go to the waterfall in the game and find Karls house and stuff and be able to go inside. The reason i posted it here is cause no one from RMXPR has ever seen my work in action. Even though it's been like... how many months? o0 But still.
