Hi. I'm trying to make a common event that will change an actors name when they have a specific ring equipped. However, using equipment as a check doesn't seem to work. I've tried several different items and even if they have the item equipped the event does nothing. However, if I use something like party member x is in the party it works just fine. I've even tried just doing something else like giving them a skill when it's equipped. Tried doing it without a common event and same result.
