TriforceChosen 0 Report post Posted January 9, 2014 Ok, so I made a transition to the world map where the main party is supposed to be on a boat moving across the world map, but I can't get the camera to move with the ship. Any ideas on how to do this?
0 Saltome 16 Report post Posted January 9, 2014 Hmm, this isn't really the right place for this topic, but I guess since I'm not an admin it's not my problem. I don't know what exactly you are looking for, how you are going about it or even which rpg maker you are using. If you want the camera to move with a specific object I'd just change the graphic of the player, to that of the object. Then move the player itself, and when you are done you change the graphic back to the character. If you are using vx or ace, I think they have built in ships, and you can tell the player to enter the ship instead of changing his graphic.
0 TriforceChosen 0 Report post Posted January 9, 2014 See, I've tried that... I moved the main character to the world map and tried to get him to board the ship but it still doesn't work...
0 Marked 197 Report post Posted January 18, 2014 Tried to get him to board it? You gotta get tricky with your eventing. As Saltome said, the best way to get the camera moving is to change the graphic of the player, rather than have the camera follow another event. The latter is far less clean. If you're still having trouble getting that particular method to work, feel free to post a screenie of your event setup.
