After more than a thousand years, a tree grew out of that grain, with powers no one could even begin to imagine.

This tree was a being on its own, and as time flew by, it created many different stars and planets through the energy which everyone refers to as “Elysiumâ€.

A power so strong that it could create an entire universe in one single sweep. Even death meant nothing in its presence.

As the creation was done, the giant tree put itself back to sleep. Waiting for the day its powers would be needed again.

It is said that you can see it sometimes in the nightsky, connecting all the planets and stars with its roots.â€

This is the legend of Yggdrasil, the almighty world tree.

I once had a dream...a dream to make a game that would be fun for everyone to play. A game with a good story, marvelous characters and beautiful artworks. It all started years ago with the RPG-Maker 2003. Back then it was just a simple idea, and not much came out of it. But I had no intention on giving up, and over the years many ideas came together and became: Eternal Dreams: The tale of Fiona Edwin.


Right now, the game is in very good stages, and I can say that a demo of Episode I will come out sooner or later.



Eternal peace is something which every being dreams of, but reality looks much different. Even many years after the conflict between humans and arcadians ended, no one is able to rest. The organization “Anima Perfetta†which just shows up out of nowhere, goes against every being who opposes them and begins to claim different cities. As also an important outpost of the arcadians falls into their grasp, a new conflict seems inevitable.

Unaware of what is happening in the world, the young Fiona lives a rather strange kind of live in Silvana. Together with a catgirl called Emalia she takes different requests from people, and discovers an ancient temple which is located deep in a forest. What lies inside is not only a suprise to her, but is also able to change the way of the world and anything in it forever…



Novalis was once a thriving world with many flora and fauna, in which different races lived together in harmony for a long time. However, this peace was destroyed when a huge meteorite from outer space struck the planet and caused nothing but destruction. In the ensuing battle for survival, humans tried to claim everything that was left for themselves, but were forced back by the Arcadians thanks to their closeness to the planet’s own natural element: Elysium.

More than a hundred years later, Novalis has somewhat recovered from the disaster, but the chaos which once reigned is still visible. Many continents are now only a shadow of themselves, and only accessible through the “vortexes†. These interdimensional pathways emerged as the “world eaterâ€/meteorite struck on the surface of the planet. It is still possible to reach other places through these passages, but they are really dangerous and not many beings actually dare to enter them.




Humans:
Humanoid beings who inhabit this planet for a very long time now, and spreaded themself over large areas. Many of them survived the catastrophe with great luck and have turned to a more peaceful life since then. There were once a quarrel with the arcadians, but that happend a long time ago and is now only of minor importance for most humans. Even if their  technological level is not that high, they would never take any help from others.


Arcadians:
This is the race where humans descended from, and therefore they are much older than them. Arcadians call many continents their home and have a very high technological standard, thanks to the Elysium.  Few of them are still living close to nature, but most prefer the things which have emerged from years of development. Be it tools, machinery, or anything that makes everyday life easier. However, they would never develop any weapon since it goes against their principles. Arcadians see themselves as a kind of guardian of this planet and do everything they can to preserve the peace, for which they receive many respect from others.


Human Cats:
These hybrids have a very strong similarity to humans, but behave more like cats and also have corresponding features at their bodies. It is said that they emerged as arcadians conducted various experiments on different life forms. Cat people are very close to nature and stay mainly in dense forests, they rarely seek contact with others and try to avoid being seen.


Animals:
Who or what has created these creatures is not known, but a rumor says that they emerged from the planet itself. In general, they are rather shy and avoid any contact, but some have taken trust and are held by more advanced forms of life as a house or farm animal. They where also not immune to the disaster which struck the planet, and it changed some of them to beings beyond our wildest imagination.

Contaminated by the effects of the “world eater†this once peaceful beings only want destruction and attack anything in their way. Their repeated ascents is seen by many people as a harbinger of a new “catastropheâ€. But to what extent these beings are connected to all the other events is not know. Their whole existance is shrouded in darkness.















Episodic:
The whole game is divided in two episodes, of which each will come out in two parts. That makes a total of four parts for you to enjoy!

Vortex:
The main focus of Eternal Dreams lies clearly in exploring the vortexes. These inter-dimensional gates are spread all over Novalis and lead to a world between, through which it is possible to reach other continents. However, this place should be entered with caution, because no one knows what lies beyond these unexplored ways. So you can choose either to strictly follow the main story or even invest a lot of time in the exploration of different ways, which makes sense from a certain point. However, sometimes things change in the world between, and ways are blocked by powerful storms or numerous sinister creatures which makes them impassable. It is also the only place where you can get elysium crystals.

Unique weapon:
Each character has only one weapon during the game, but can upgrade it in an unique way. It is up to you to find out how.

RPG Style:
 Train and customize your characters, watch how they develop over time and do some very interesting sidequests!

Nature:
In a fight, every character has his own nature indicatet by the ring behind his portrait. With that you can change the outcome of an battle, since you get a nice bonus when the field is filled with one color. Just consider that your enemies can do this as well.

Soul:
As the story develops, you will get the opportunity to explore the dephts of the main characters soul. Uncover the truth behind it, and get the chance to unlock new powers and secrets!

Sactum of Lost Souls:
This mysterious place has only been seen by a few beings, and is hidden deep in the world of Novalis. It is said that there, all past souls of different creatures come together to confront those in combat who dare to enter their holy grounds. Do you have what it takes to master this hard challenge? Or will you end up like the others before you and stay forever? Either way, it will not be easy.

Battle System:
Battles take place in a Final Fantasy like sideview battle system. Here it is important to use the different abilities of each character in order to survive. Emalia for example can steal things from enemies or weaken them with little tricks, while Firyon is able to severely wound them with his precise attacks. Bosses always require different tactics to be defeated, so you really need to use your brain for it. Each character also has his own nature which will play a important role in every fight.
