Ardaceus 21 Report post Posted July 2, 2015 My name is very technical, and it is a bit of a story. I wanted an epic name that didn't sound like what you would see online, like combining 2 words and adding 4 numbers, for that is kind of silly in my eyes, for if I want to sign into something, I don't want to type two words forgetting the space, and inputting 4 numbers correctly and stuff like that, it would take too long. So I tried to come up with a name that you would hear in something like a spartan movie or like some legendary knight, which was Arkarion, but I didn't like it, for it wasn't catchy. One day I saw Arceus's name, that god Pokemon, which I thought was awesome, so I stole the last bit of that name. So I had Arkaceus, but for obvious reasons, I didn't choose it. Did a little revamping, and I came up with Ardaceus. I liked this name because no matter how you say it, you can't get it wrong. For I come from Finnish decent, and Finlanders have bad times pronouncing stuff, but we understand each other quite well despite it. Here are the many ways you can say it: Ard a c us Ard ache e us Ard a cus R D C S (hey look, my name doesn't need vowels! aRDaCeuS) R D Ardee Ardi R da cause a Yeah... Ardi out... or R D, Ardee... bleh, out.
Kitsuki 17 Report post Posted July 2, 2015 Kitsuki is a city in the Oita prefecture in Japan, and that's pretty much all I know about it. ;u; Although I've been going by "Kitsuki" for several years now--on deviantART, sometimes in rl as well. Probably more people know me as Red, though. :P Kitsuki's probably a mix of "Kitsune", fox in Japanese, and "Tsuki", which means "moon". I'm sure I didn't know those two words at the time I made that name for myself, so not sure where it came from in the first place...
ShinkuAura 15 Report post Posted July 4, 2015 Probably more people know me as Red, though. :P Hahaha, How's it going "Red"? "Name's Blue, hey i don't care about this small talk lets battle!" If you know what i'm trying to say than you're 100% Japanese.

If you know what i'm trying to say than you're 100% Japanese. I have absolutely no idea what that means ;D Seeing as I'm 100% Vietnamese! XD But what does it mean? I'm curious now, Omar
Ardaceus 21 Report post Posted July 5, 2015 I have absolutely no idea what that means ;D Seeing as I'm 100% Vietnamese! XD But what does it mean? I'm curious now, Omar References to the pokemon franchise. I'm Canadian, not Japanese in any way, but Pokemon is a thing from Japan that is taken way to seriously, if you don't know what Pokemon is. Red is the main protagonist that you play as in the first generation of the franchise, and in the remake of that game. Blue is your rival in that universe, and he always thinks he's better than you, as you show him who's the very best. #nostalgia

My friends have always encouraged me to get into Pokémon but I'm just like "... lemme finish Ace Attorney first plz" <- Yeah, I haven't even finished that series yet, you can't really expect me to play all the Pokémon games, too XD Not to mention, I'm not that much of a DS person in the first place, seeing as all I ever played is Phoenix Wright and Dinosaur King :P But thanks for the explanation, Ardaceus! ShinkuAura 15 Report post Posted July 5, 2015 The you're then 100% Japanese is a small joke i make when people know "x" thing about Japanese culture or games. It's like saying congratulations! You are now a full fledge Otaku. Anyway, Yes i was referencing Pokemon Red and Blue. Seeing someone being called/nicknamed Red is instant nostalgia on the Pokemon franchise. Ah good memories, good times. I feel old.
Bob423 52 Report post Posted July 5, 2015 As a huge nerd, I think it's important to note that originally, Red and Blue didn't have names. They were just whatever the player named them (although the games suggested names, including Red, Blue, and Ash*). It wasn't until Gen 2 (Gold, Silver, and Crystal) that they were given "official" names. In those, Blue was a gym leader and Red was a secret ending bonus boss type guy. *Ash was only suggested in Yellow (I think) because that game was actually based on the anime
ShinkuAura 15 Report post Posted July 5, 2015 Bob. Why do you have to take the fun in all this? We know they didn't have names back then but it doesn't matter bro ;(

ShinkuAura 15 Report post Posted July 5, 2015 Hold on a minute there Bob. Where's your Origin on your username. i double check some posts and it's not there. You think you can enter a topic and not introduce yourself to the newer generations of GDU?
Bob423 52 Report post Posted July 5, 2015 There's really not much to tell lol. I tried to use Bob because I couldn't think of anything, but it was taken so I added "423" and I've used that username everywhere it was available ever since. If it's not available, I use Bobgdu or something.
DustyZiroto 3 Report post Posted July 16, 2015 So, ask yourself what is a "Ziroto"? Ziroto actually isn't a word therefore it has no meaning. So therefore, Ziroto cannot be "Dusty", because Ziroto isn't real. You can apply the logic of "Dusty" to tables, possessions, ETC. But Ziroto isn't anything. It's a made up word, so you can't get an idea of what a DustyZiroto looks like.
Flytrap 1 Report post Posted October 3, 2015 I go by a lot of Pseudonyms, I use Flytrap whenever I do anything artistic, another username whenever I game, and one other for other stuff. Flytrap the word is pretty self-explanatory, it's a plant... But as my username, it's kind of a pun, a pun that would embarrass me if anyone understood it.
