BiddyPocket 0 Report post Posted December 30, 2007 Hey all, The name's Joe. I actually do not own RMXP, but I am an avid RPGer and plan on getting it soon. I suppose I'll stick around and learn more about it, and hell, why not make friends :). I'm also a composer and can create semi-realistic sounding original compositions for your RPGs if you'd like (I use Finale 2006 to compose, but the sound is surprisingly good!). You can PM me here and I can arrange to send you some samples of stuff I've written and the sound quiality and such. So, yeah. I look forward to being an active member of this group!...though I'm not sure how I feel about dropping 60 bucks for it...is it worth it? ~Joe

I'm so confuzzled......here's where I found out about it - http://www.enterbrain.co.jp/tkool/RPG_XP/eng/download.html It says you have to purchase the license for 60 buckaroos...idk, maybe it's a North America thing? Regardless, thank you! :D And thank you Marked, I'd love to share my stuff. Unfortunately, I'm too cheap to buy space online to host my music because a lot of it is too large to put up on that free stuff, so I have to send things via AIM. My music is classically based and greatly influenced by nobuo uematsu, the great FF composer. Much to my dismay, I will have to wait until *dies* January 14th-ish in order to start writing again/download RMXP. Arggg..me computer's at school an I'm stuck at home :(. Anyway, thanks for the welcomes :). If I wanted to, say, play a game someone made (you know, to get a feel for it), can I do that without downloading the program? Also, I'm on a Vista at the moment (I have XP back at school), and I've read there are some troubles with it and RMXP - would I still be able to play the games? ~Joe
Wyzrd 12 Report post Posted December 30, 2007 The 60 buckaroos is United States money. You should be able to maybe upload your music to this site. Marked will have to step in on that one though. You don't have to have RMXP but you have to have the RTP for it to play a game. And as far as RMXP working on Vista you have to change the settings and tell Vista to run RMXP as if it was on a XP computer.
Marked 197 Report post Posted December 31, 2007 We have a downloads manager(especially popular with non-posting members :D ), which you can upload your songs to. Also, this topic has many free hosts you can upload to. But I would prefer to have them uploaded to the downloads manger. They will be downloaded much more if they're uploaded there. But you saying they are too big makes me think they are say 10mb+ per file? Actually you can upload 100+ mb on free hosts, how big are they exactly? And if they are that loud, there are programs that can reduce the size. Some RMXP Game downloads come with all the resources necessary(so are generally larger in file size), but for most you will need the RTP, which are all the default resources for RMXP. I just uploaded this to the downloads manager: http://www.rmxpunlimited.net/forums/index....amp;showfile=
BiddyPocket 0 Report post Posted December 31, 2007 Yeah Marked, I believe they're bigger then 100mb...but I'm not sure. It's the software I use that makes them so big, because they really do sound pretty realistic (it's the Garrison's Professional Orchestra, for those who might know Finale2006). Uhg, for once I wish I was back at school already >_<. Oh well, in two weeks I'll be sure to let you all know, and upload some stuff...unless anyone knows if there's a way to do it from your Ipod, though I don't believe it works like that. You know, allowing you to only put one or two songs onto an itunes. Anyway, I'll be sure to let you all know, lol. Wyzrd, did you pay the 60$ for the program? Did everyone? Or am I missing something here...do I just have to download it?
