kaboth 6 Report post Posted June 29, 2014 was wondering if it was possible to use 3ds max studio models, blender or zbrush inside of rpg maker xp or ace if so how do we start.
Marked 197 Report post Posted June 29, 2014 Why would you want to do that though? I'm sure it's probably possible but you'd probably be much better off using a 3D engine, than hacking at a 2D one.

drago2308 4 Report post Posted June 29, 2014 Well I have never seen anything that would do that for rpg maker that is. You can go the route of donkey kong country and render the 3d models into 2d sprites, but thats about it. There is a huge difference in developing in a 3d environment compared to a 2d environment. 2d is much easier compared to it older cousin 3d engine, which has to deal with 3 dimensions rather than just 2 (x,y) :P
Marked 197 Report post Posted June 30, 2014 To make things easier because most other game engines are hard to use. Which have you used? If you want to make 3D games but all the 3D engines are too hard for you, then I don't think you're going to have much luck in 3D. I don't know who would ever use 3D in RMXP, but there's this http://save-point.org/thread-3151.html
