Walls not working

Question

hey all!

Okay so I FINALLY got RMXP! yay! And, I was fooling around with a map and it's driving me absolutely nuts because I can't seem to make the walls work properly. For some reason, when I test play the game, my character can walk on the walls. I did all the floors and walls in layer 1 - is that where they're supposed to be? It's driving me nuts - just look!

Help would be much appreciated :).

Also, is it possible to mix tilesets together? It doesn't seem to be possible, as I've tried, but I'm sure there's a way...

Thanks!

~Joe

Did you set the passibility right (ie all the 'x's and 'o's) although if that is a tilesets that already on it, then passibility would be set already, it looks like the rtp tileset so passability mightn't be the problem. So I don't know if it's not that.

And mixing tilesets can be done, you just go to the materials list, select the tilesets you want, export them. Then load them in something like photoshop, or another program that has a long page, and just put the tilesets under one-another. After that, save it, import into rmxp, set the transparentcy. Now goto the tilesets tab in the database, select change maximum and pick anything that's higher than what it is at now (default 50) Then select an empty slot, where it say tileset graphic select the tileset you imported. Finally set the passability, and your done

For some reason, I keep getting the same problem....I think it has to do with the 4-directional passage section in the database, though I'm not sure. No matter how many times I delete a certain section, the character can still walk through it! I don't understand....it's set to not let anything pass. It's either that, or the priority. Can either of those make characters walk through tiles?

I had the same issue with a few buildings. I had to put the walls on both the first and second layers for them to work properly. I know it's a waste, but it's the only solution I've found.

I've tried that too, and in some cases it works, but there are still a number of walls that I can walkthrough. I just built a house, an on the inside he can walk across the bed, through the wall, and into another room >_<.

errr...how do I play the game on normal play? :P. I've only been test playing it for right now...

Easy just go to the folder your game is in and there's a symbol (like the one in the posting icons here, the red one) and that's it, the red icon is to play the game on normal play
