I made a new version of 091-Monster05.

This was for practice more than anything. I'm trying to learn cell shading with flash(this battler has no cell shading though so I guess I failed there...) It wasn't exactly traced, it was made by looking then drawing. It should look different shaped than the original, though I drew them while trying to match the originals shape. The Face graphic was just a large version of the battler and quickly shaded in photoshop(about 50 seconds work of shading).

 

I would have waited to post more battlers instead of having one topic for a single battler, but I tend to make a battler once a year at the most due to laziness and lack of skill.

Looks great, it makes it look more evil

you could make it a little dark in the mouth area

I have noticed in quite a few of your images that you favor Flash. And from what i've seen you know what you are doing there... All your pics look awesome... I am interesting in seeing more...

It looks way better, but it is also a lot bigger ;) And i'd love to see more of your work

Making it bigger, i believe, allows you to scale it down. If it was smaller you would have to enlarge it and it would end up looking pixelated. I would actually like to see the full database redone like this, but i honestly know that this would take quite a while, and would be a tediously annoying task. Unless of course you like redoing stuff like this. :rolleyes:

Thanks. Yeah it is bigger and that's on purpose. I originally posted the same sized version but then realized that the two images looked too identical. This is actually not traced, it was redrawn with the original as a reference. Except I copied the shape exactly so it ended up being pointless.

 

I won't be doing any more. When I'm bored I open up Flash or Photoshop and try to make a battler or something(this happens twice a year, oddly).

Okay Marked, you are honestly good at doing this i really like. You aren't an awful artist, you should keep it up. :D
