thelandarian 0 Report post Posted February 27, 2008 Hello friends. I'm an aspiring game-making hobbyist and when I gave RPG Maker XP a try, I enjoyed it fully, both its interface and its capabilities. I'm currently working on porting an old pen-and-paper RPG I wrote from scratch when I was a kid. It's called the Dungeon World Trilogy. I just got started last week and am laying out some of the infrastructure before putting in many events. Anyway, I thought I'd briefly introduce myself. Name: David Born: August of '79. Hometown: Easthampton, MA (nowhere near Boston, thankfully! :P ) Current Residence: near Seattle, WA Interests: Bible studies, sharing the gospel, old video games (especially RPGs from the 80s and 90s) Favorite game: a 6-way tie between Final Fantasy 1-6 Occupation: student/cafe barista Anyway, I hope I get a chance to meet some of you and maybe exchange ideas. Take care and have fun! -- David "These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, in order that you may know that you have eternal life." 1 John 5:13 "Believe in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved" Acts 16:31 "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not as a result of works so that no one may boast." Ephesians 2:8, 9 "For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from works of the Law." Romans 3:

thelandarian 0 Report post Posted March 1, 2008 I played around with it for a month when I downloaded the trial, but when the trial ended, I kind of put it to the side for a while. I finally got back into it a few weeks ago. Altogether, I'd say I've been working with RPG Maker XP for maybe 2 months or so. At first, it seemed a little overwhelming, but now that I'm getting used to the interface, I'm starting to have some fun with it. Anyway, thanks for the warm welcome! -- David
