TBH it looks kind of lame so far. I dont really see much of a difference between this and MV so far. The main thing that will peak my interest is if they remove the tileset limitations and make it so I can have a super large tileset like XP had. I do however like the layers they added back from earlier versions. Sure you can do parallax mapping but I shouldn't have to to get the same effect as what they had in an earlier RPG Maker version.

We will just have to wait and see what new stuff they have after its released.

I haven't looked into it yet, but I'll sure warez it when it's out and have a look. On steam, my first impression was seeing this:

This looks like RM2K. I totally get you can use custom graphics, but surely this is unattractive to new devs. Like, change it up. XP is now super outdated but they need to look at what they did right there that made XP peak as high as it did.
