I got RPG maker XP some time ago, and I have now got a new computer. I'd like to know if there was a way to get it activated on my new computer. If I can't keep it on the old one, it doesn't matter. As long as I get it on my new computer, I'm fine :D

Yes, the best way to go about it is to reinstall your RPG Maker XP, and the transfer the PSI key from your old one, to your new one. And it should reactivate it.

So, install on new computer, un-install on old computer, and activate on new?

Install on new computer, transfer the PSI Key (Located in the main RMXP folder) from your old computer to the new one, replacing the new one, and it should work.

I can't find anything named PSI key.... I found something named MSI, and replaced that. Didn't work.

Ahh, thanks. Now I've found it, but for some reason, none of the programs on my computer can open it... And, there is no enterbrain folder on my new computer...

lol, your not supposed to open it.

Just redownload RMXP & install on your new computers, and put the PSI Key from your old computer and replace the new one.

It still doesn't work.... I've tried to un-install, re-download and re-install, and now there is no PSI key with the downloaded one on the new computer at all. The main folder is completely gone.

It should work. i took my psikey before i wiped my computer and put it back on it and i have no problem.

Yeah, but as it didn't work, I tried un-installing and re-installing, and now there is no main folder. Also, is it normal that there is a little tiny game called prexcraft coming with the rpgxp download?

Can be the prexcraft thing is from when I tried to download it another place... But, I still don't get why I have no main folder on my new computer....

Probably, somebody might've included it.

You can't have the program on your computer, but have no main folder, or somewhere it is located.

The main folder is it's location on the hard drive. Find where the program is.

Be sure to check what you did.

Are you sure you replaced the PSIkey on the new computer with the one on the old computer?

Stuff like that, because it should work, I've done it before. 2-3 times.

I opened my mail, chose 'save file' on the PSIkey from the old one, and saved it in place of the old one...

Oooo! i have this problem to. here is what i do, open RMXP when it says the trial thing just close out of the trial box then open RMXP again and it should work(as long as you have your psikey in there)
