Alright time for a small update to fix a few of the bugs i found and everyone else found. I fixed the /rtf problem and added the new buttons and background for you to see! The download is still the same as always so enjoy the small update. I will release the official version 3.3 sometime this week or by next Tuesday! Thanks to all!

There's a little spelling mistake in what the shark says when you select the engine.

This is the selection box for the engine you want to veiw scripts for(XP or VX)

 

Nothing happens when selecting the Improved & Special Move Command. It just displays the last script. Could it be that the selection doesn't like the & sign?

 

The search bar doesn't work too well although I am sure you already know that ^_^

Thanks ill fix the Improved script. As for the search the next version will have a much better search!

 

Alright another beta has been released. I brought back settings and got it as less buggy as I could and it actually is pretty stable. Always show info is disabled in this version because it is buggy. I added a new option in settings for the tutor on and off. You can now also see the new backgrounds(red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple)! The full version of scrive 3.3 will be released soon. In version 3.4 expect to see automatic updates and more!

 

The download is the same so please enjoy!

There is a new version now. It has search in it but settings is still not working so that is still taken out. Also polraudio your script is not in this version as this is simply a fix to a few things. When i get all the scripts udpated and automatic updating etc put in scrive your script along with many others will be in it.

 

Also I have made the my scripts options separate from the main program so that the scripts you add all have there own program and everything.

 

I have added a program select at the beginning so you can choose if you want to start up the normal scrive or the program with the scripts you added.

Sorry for the late reply guys, and thanks polraudio for helping! I will have to put this into a FAQ in the first page for this problem, it happens a lot, but it is because you do not have .net framework 2.0/3.5 installed (3.5 is the best way to go). You can get it here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...;displaylang=en if you have automatic updates on it should have installed it but you probably don’t. Also .net framework is used for many other programs besides scrive which is why they would put it on automatic updates. Vista automatically comes with it so you know it’s important to have ;) for other programs to work right. Thanks for using scrive!

Scrive 3.3 was finally released a while ago, and it seems to be working. It did have its ups and downs though.

 

In a few days a beta of the new Scrive 4 (Named Scrive Revolution mpossiblt) will be released. We have been working long and hard on this version and have added many things to help it be less buggy and work more smoothly.

 

4.0b1 Update October, 2008

I will post more info as we get closer to release but expect a completely different program then you first tried! As of now scrive is set up the sort of the same as scrive 3.0, as we get closer to release the layout and format of scrive will change drastically. A lot of things you see with scrive now will be different.

Just a side note: The auto updates feature will be buggy for a while until I can get done another method...using clickonce as an update method is erm.....not too nice ;)

sorry for the late reply and no scrive 4.0 guys, we are working hard on making 4.0 the best version of scrive ever. I guess that is why were releasing it in beta mode for that very reason :D. But maybe by tonight or over the weekend for sure you will see Scrive 4.0 Beta 1!! Also Scrive 1.o came out about 2 years ago, it was nothing compared to this at all but was a very useful program.

 

Edit: Here are some screenshots of what is to come in Scrive 4.0 beta 1!! Keep in mind the look of scrive 4.0 now is not the final look at all, it will change drastically throughout the beta phase!

This doesn't work for me. I have Windows XP with the .Net Framework 3.5 Sp1.

 

The program loads but never finds a script.

Try upgrading to SP3

The .Net Framework is 3.5 with Service Pack 1 (the last one released so far). My Windows XP has SP 2.

 

And the Windows SP3 doesn't contain many updates so I doubt it will make a difference. Any other suggestion? I will try running it as admin in the mean time.

 

EDIT: I forgot to mention, when I click on the shark, the program gives an error saying it couldn't find settings.xml in the directory.
