lovecraft13 0 Report post Posted March 23, 2008 Hello. I actually just started to learn the program this weekend, so right now I'm just getting to know the basics. But my game is called ABIGAIL & ROX, which is based on my series of fantasy comic books. The story: Wonderland's in chaos, Sleepy Hollow's besieged by giants, and Emerald City is at the mercy of a mad genius. Trapped in a cursed book of fairy tales, Abigail and her teddy bear, Rox, explore a fantasy world at the brink of Armageddon. The cast: Abigail Fellows, a young girl who searches for her grandfather trapped in Wonderland. Rox, an animated teddy bear and protector of Abigail. Ace, a playing card soldier who befriends Abigail. Manchester Rabbit, the scholar of Wonderland, this bookworm becomes Abigail's guide to the fantasy world. Jack, the boy who climbed the Beanstalk. The Queen of Spades, vile ruler of Wonderland Ichabod Crane, mayor of Sleepy Hollow Humpty Dumpty, fallen hero of Wonderland Ten of Swords, a dangerous bounty hunter searching for Abigail Locations: Wonderland Sleepy Hollow The Cloud Kingdom London With my basic knowledge of the program, I probably won't be able to reproduce the entire storyline, but I did manage to develop a pre-lim map of the Cloud Kingdom, the titlescreen, game over screen, and a battle screenshot. Thanks for looking.
Arkbennett 16 Report post Posted March 23, 2008 Wow, this looks a little bizarre. But it has a lot of potential, no lie. I'm looking forward to seeing how it develops.
lovecraft13 0 Report post Posted March 26, 2008 I had to create a sprite for a character in the game: Humpty Dumpty. It was my first attempt at creating one, but after watching it in motion, it does work.
Arkbennett 16 Report post Posted March 26, 2008 Look like a good start. You need to add touch ups of course.
Polraudio 122 Report post Posted March 27, 2008 Wow looks like it will turn out to be a very great game when its finished. Cant wait to see how it turns out, and play it.
lovecraft13 0 Report post Posted March 28, 2008 Here's a sprite of the Ten of Swords I made by combining the Mage template with a knight's and then reworking the color. And here's a 1st attempt scenario of the Dumpty / Ten of Swords mountain top battle. I'll probably revisit this down the road when I get the chance to create a sprite with them dramatically leaping at each other with weapons-in-hand. So this image looks a little stiff because they leap towards each other with just their basic walking animations.
Wyzrd 12 Report post Posted March 29, 2008 I have to agree with Ark and Pol. This looks like quite a interesting game. Can't wait to see it finished.
lovecraft13 0 Report post Posted March 30, 2008 I'm glad you guys like it so far. The deeper I get with its structure, the more I realize I have to create new character sprites for the game. Here is a card guard from Wonderland. I made one for each of the four suits. Each one has their own color scheme to define them visually.

Wyzrd 12 Report post Posted March 31, 2008 It looks good to me so far. When you going to have a demo for it?
Marked 197 Report post Posted March 31, 2008 Seems to be quite a nice project you got going there. There are a few errors in your maps that need fixed up though.
