RMXP Unlimited Website Released

Today is the official release of the RMXP Unlimited Website. It was started around the 20th of February, so it has taken some time to set it up.

 

The website is nothing like a front page as in previous sites we have had. It has full RGSS, Tutorial and Project sections for RPG Maker XP & VX as well as a Utilities and Tools section.

 

The site is integrated with the forum, which means you have one account for everything. This is particularly important as members can add their own content to each RMXP/VX sections. As mentioned in the announcement we are looking for Publishers who interested in helping with the website.

 

The site is new but there is some content up already that users can view. Some have links to topics and the downloads manger on the forums. The Downloads Manager and forums have been set up as the Site's structure. For example, there are 11 RGSS forums, site categories, and download manger categories.

Wow, I really like it. It's very simple and clean, yet contemporary and appealing. I'm impressed by not only the design, but the JS coding and functionality. Everything just fits together. Kudos on putting together such a nice site.

 

If I may ask, who actually programmed it?

Thanks for the good comments so far. I hadn't planned on releasing it at this time, some pages are still not complete such as the RGSS Scripts main page.

Adding content isn't quite as simple as making posts on a forum. It took me a day or two get how it all works, which unfortunately may turn people away from adding their own content.

 

As mentioned in previous announcements also, the Downloads Manager has been changed to suit the Site. So for everything downloadable(Scripts, Projects), the should be uploaded to the downloads manager. This way they will never be deleted unlike some hosting services.

Just keep on updating and finish that RGSS section.

We should get an increase in traffic soon... Hopefully.

If I can get Camtasia Studio 5 working (It is being an arsehole), then I might try and make some video tutorials, as I think they help better then written ones.

I've been trying to find a good screen recorder I could make video reviews with.

That sounds good isaacsol. At the moment I have to approve new articles submitted by the usergroup for members. I'd prefer no approval, but haven't yet figured that out.

Camtasia is a lot like Adobe Captivate, if you've ever used it. It's a screen-recording tool, to put it simply, though it has a lot of advanced functionality; especially the latest version. It's not cheap though...
