BiddyPocket 0 Report post Posted May 19, 2008 Hey friends! so, here's my first tileset expansion. Not much, but it's pretty useful. Contains a balcony, concrete counter/bar, wooden counter/bar, black church windows, backless church windows, transparent church windows, various blue tinted windows (for a nice "outside sky" effect), black walkway, broken bridge additions, and 5 new mine-track additions. Let me know if it's useful and/or if you're having problems with it :) ~Joe

Arkbennett 16 Report post Posted May 21, 2008 Not bad, but I feel the cracks in the broken bridge should be a little more detailed, instead of just using a full black color.. Ya know..?
BiddyPocket 0 Report post Posted May 22, 2008 yeah, you're right Ark. To be honest, I was a tad lazy with that one :P. It's on my to-do list of things...well, to do. lol
Marked 197 Report post Posted May 22, 2008 I didnt test this in RPG Maker XP, but I did notice that you saved the image as a .jpg file. That makes the quality much worse, and for RMXP games that's not what people want. I think .jpg images are mainly for webpages because the quality and hence size of the image can be reduced to load faster on the internet. You should post your resources as .png files. With this image, I'd imagine it wouldnt be fully transparent(it would have green around the edges of each tile). Looks good though.

Just save it with that extension? Or do I need something special? I made this tileset in paint, so idk. Why would it have green edges? o_O
Marked 197 Report post Posted May 24, 2008 In paint, go to save as, then in the file type drop down box select .png. It would have green edges because the image becomes pixelated and there would be different shades of green(especially around the edges of tiles) and you can only select one transparent color. BiddyPocket 0 Report post Posted May 24, 2008 Alrighty, re-saved as .png - thanks Marked! Also, Ark, I edited the broken bridge so that now it looks more realistic. Hope you like :P And, I added five new track pieces to the mine track. Enjoy everyone!
Wyzrd 12 Report post Posted May 24, 2008 The bridge does look better now. Also, the mine track pieces are quite nice, maybe someone will find use for them.
