A topic which will take time

Recommended Posts

I got RPG Maker Xp about 2 months ago and i've gotten to know it pretty well but...SCRIPTING! I have no-idea how to script and my request is a full tutorial for scripting! Or at least what you may know anyway! I don't need it this very minute so if someone is going to actually attempt it, take your time and please explain it clearly!

Thanx

I think I saved almost 3/4 of those tutorials there Satiel, and you can download those from this topic: http://www.rmxpunlimited.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=100

So, download those, then go back to Satiels link and do the rest.

This has PLENTY to keep you busy, I have dont most of these. But I learnt the most that I know from Leon, he taught me heaps, and that is the best way to learn. But if you ever need support, we will do our best to help you. RGSS is my opinion is the best to learn, its the most fun. You learn heaps from those tutorials, so get busy.

hehe, agreed. I don't know much about RGSS, but the ablility to fix your own script glitches is nice...I know...I'm fighting with that right now...stupid export-import system seems to have messed up my QuestDiary...or something...I don't know, that's the problem >< -grumbles- and it was working just fine the other day...weird thing is, it stopped working, but I didn't edit anything script-wise between the times it was working and the time it stopped working...

RGSS may look like alot of work, but once you understand teh basics, it all falls right into place. then it is just the fact of learning the proper syntaxes. After that, moving on to new ways of doing htings.

Yup.

I say, go through one tutorial at a time. After learning something new, play around with it as much as you can.

Basically, do this until you have it memorized and fully understood. -----> then move to the next tutorial. : D
