"Unexpected File Format."

I'm having a problem... I can't open my game. At all! everytime I try to open it it says, "Unexpected File Format."

 

What do I do? Is there anyway to fix it? Cause if not, there goes about 3 weeks worth of work :( .

Did you happen to switch out different rpg maker versions?

If not, try opening your project through RMXP/RMVX, rather than going through the game folder.

I am using Mircosoft XP Professional. By the way, polraudio, I am Raxus Anode on the CA.

Try replacing the Game.rxproj with a fresh one fro ma new project.

 

AND BACK UP YOUR PROJECT OFTEN!

If that don't work try running a system recovery to the earliest date

That would not work, System Restore does not affect anything within your My Documents folder.

Thank you all for trying to help me. I later found out that file corruption occurs when you turn off RMXP or RMVX when it is saving or shuting down. There is also a script at GameBaker.com for game "Back Up" just incase it corrupts it. I hope may problem helps other with the same problem.
