Leon 55 Report post Posted July 16, 2008 What, praytell, would you find to be the most appealing thing of retro-RPGs? There are many aspects to consider: Simplicity of the menu Level-skill learning Different character classes And this just names a FEW different aspects. Now, my question to everyone is; what is everyone's favorite aspect; so debate this away, and we'll see. I personally love the original Dragon Warrior, Wizardry, and other similar dungeon crawlers. The way to gain skills was simple: Level. Further, everything was easy... until a boss.

Leon 55 Report post Posted July 16, 2008 The music was wonderful. And you know, perhaps we should define 'retro'. Even when you think of it, i believe FFVII is over 10 years old.

I fully agree like Star Ocean 2 The Second Story my favorite game of all time. The max level is nice 255 You can create items by mixing some You can spend points you get from leveling on skills The music is nice Great battle system You get to chose to take party members that you meet along or not There is over 60 different endings depending on your choices in the game Is that what you are asking Leon? Leon 55 Report post Posted July 17, 2008 Yep. But when i originally started this topic, it was based on NES and SNES; however, when you think about it.. the PS and N64 now can be considered 'retro', i do suppose
