Marked 197 Report post Posted October 10, 2006 you may have noticed that the forum is been constantly hacked by Arab hackers. These Arab hackers are doing this because we are westeners, and they claim we are killing them. Im sure you all have your own opinions on this, I certaintly do. Anyway, I can fix it, but they keep coming and changing the pages so members cant get to the forum. This will have a huge negitive affect on the forums regestrations and activity. I am doing everything I can to stop this, and hopefully it will be stopped soon. Im very sorry this, and I hope you will be patient while I sort it out. Marked 197 Report post Posted October 14, 2006 110mb.com is the best hosting servive I've seen, and the only one that allows you to upload forum software. I have succesfully backed up the database, so I have everything backed up. Sorry for being away for so long, and couldnt even use the internet on my computer. I has format my hardrive so i have lost most of my files. How long have you been able to access the forum? I had to reupload some scripts to get it working again?? Marked 197 Report post Posted October 14, 2006 Im not going to be purposly getting members yet until the hacking issue is resolved. So I will not be advertising to get more members. This is because they will go away again because the forum keeps going down. If they constatly keep coming, I will look into getting a new host. On 110mb.com forums, they say just replace your files if your site gets hacked. Thats what I have been doing, but they come back. Blazinks, were you able to get into the forum 2 days ago?(13th October). Thats definately when I couldnt get in. This is what 110mb.com say There have been many site hacked past day including mine. Don't open topics about until you read this thread. RECOVERY: Replace the existing index.php with you own. Depending on your site, replace all files containing the following words: admin, settings, setup, index, editand user. I use PHPFusion and only had to replace the forums index.php, the main index.php, the edit_user.php and admin.php. If you use a CMS, also reupload the admin panel php file and the edit profile php files. Ow... And don't forget to clear your catch...
