How or where can I find a story to make it a game?

Why not come up with something original your self? otherwise you can still re-make an old game. or join an Project

Anything can become a story for your game. The game could be about something going on in your life, your family or friends, anything! It's not really that hard to think of an idea, the trouble is coming up with the entire game that is based on that idea.

 

You can take a "shortcut" by using an already created game world, like Pokemon or Zelda, and create a sequel to your favorite game series, or create a new "chapter" for your favorite series like a Final Fantasy XXXXXXXXXXV or something.

 

Additionally, you may be able to look at this site: http://www.gamediscovery.com/ideas/ to get some ideas. These are actual peoples' stories, so don't just steal them. Make sure to credit them for the story, or better yet even contact them via email! I'm sure the person would be ready to collaborate with you in designing the entire game. If all else fails, maybe something at that site will at least spark something and give you a killer idea for a story!
