Jesse66126 4 Report post Posted September 26, 2008 I took a glimpse at my future.Going the way things are,I'll probably filthy rich by age 40 and still single, which, to be honest,is perfectly fine by me.I don't "need" a wife,or a man for that matter. I have a two cats, two dogs, and fairly large house with a mortgage that's over half paid off. I work from home so,I save a ton of gas for my car. I really don't ever have to talk face to face with anyone. It's a fairly boring existence,I'll admit. It kind of sounds like I'm agoraphobic, but I do leave the house occasionally to buy groceries, and to run errands. It is said humans are social animals by nature. They cannot survive without each other. What do you all think? I suppose, even I need other people,in a way. No matter how great a writer is,without someone to read his work,he is nothing.
Leon 55 Report post Posted September 26, 2008 Can the pen of the writer be a decent bed-fellow for the writer? Every human has the natural instinct to aprocriate, ergo, it would be better suited not to stay single. I would highly recommend getting a little more of a social life. Believe you me, no amount of words, or games, or anything could replace the love of my life. (No, Ark, not even a guppy or marlin.) In essence, you should atleast try, for you may find something you are missing.
Jesse66126 4 Report post Posted September 26, 2008 Could always a adopt a kid.I can see it,now. A two-year-old Chinese girl running around the house naked, laughing, dripping water everywhere. While being chased by a Hispanic nanny with a towel, shouting,"You catch cold!" With me sitting at my computer asking myself,"What the hell was I thinking...?" In essence, you should atleast try, for you may find something you are missing. I did try eharmony,match.com,and chemistry.com. I went on a bunch of dates, but when we started talking about our future,I asked if she would be willing to sign a prenuptial agreement. She gets very angry and asks,"What!?You don't trust me!????" and I'm thinking,"No,I don't." A prenuptial agreement is a contract that makes sure,in case of divorce, both parties leave with the same of amount of money and belongings they entered with. When a man,not tall, not attractive, not even all that nice,is hit on by a younger, very pretty woman; She usually has one thing on her mind.Money. It's kind of a dark way to look at things, but very true.
Wyzrd 12 Report post Posted September 27, 2008 I always thought I could be on my own, figured all I needed was me and my music. Turns out I was wrong. They always say you never know what you have untill it's gone, well I didn't know what I had until I got it. If that makes any sense at all. As far as the prenuptial agreement, I would never make my girl sign that. It's possible I could get fucked by that but oh well. If you truly love the girl you gotta sacrifice shit sometimes. Jesse66126 4 Report post Posted September 27, 2008 Yes,but when you make more in one month, than she makes in a year, you'll understand. I've seen it first hand with one of my friends. His wife took everything! The kids, the house, everything! All he had left after the divorce was his truck and his dog! Plus,he has to pay $1,000+ a month in alimony until the kids are 18. The truly sad part is,she LEFT him for another man! They're living in HIS house, with HIS kids! He only ever gets to see his kids every other weekend, and she's pushing for full custody! I,for one, will never let that happen to me.
