Guest Legendary Report post Posted October 14, 2006 Ok, there's a webcomic online entitled ADVENTURERS, and I'm making a fan game for it because it is now sadly over. However, I'm not particularly good at a few things, so I'll need some help. What I need: Spriter- I actually need two, one for RMXP sprites that are the same size as the RTP stuff, and one for battle animations similar to RPG 2k/2k3 Composer- Someone who can do a variety of music, both dark and brooding and light-hearted and fun Scripter- prolly don't need one, but someone who can dig up scripts/make-some-that-might-be-needed would be appreciated Artist- primarily for animations Story: After an evil overlord, Khrima, attacked Karn's village, Karn found himself on the other side of the world, and hungry for revenge. Soon partnered up with a logical mage named Ardam, the two set out to stop Khrima, in a very strange and chaotic world. Characters: Karn: The son of two legendary heroes (who killed some unkillable monster with two others), Ker and Teria, Karn's village was attacked by Khrima, the latest powerhungry, evil overlord. After the attack, Karn woke up on the other side of the world, and set out to take Khrima down. Despite Karn's apparent unintelligence, he understands the laws of the world he lives in really well. Ardam: A black mage who left the magical academy before finishing his thesis on summoning, he joined Karn because the old man he was living with kicked him out. He is a powerful magic user, but constantly fails to understand the "laws of physics" such as the inability of houses to burn down before the heroes do everything necessary in them. Khrima: A definitely insane evil overlord, he built up an army of robots to help him take over the world, and, like Karn, understands everything he needs to do in the world, if not necessarily why. His plans include finding all of the magical artifacts of the world to help increase his power. Eternion: A being that lives in N-dimensional space, he is exceedingly evil and has contempt for authority that isn't his. Driven insane by a supernova, he tried to take over the order of Eternals, but failed. Although he was allowed to live, his recent actions against both Karn and Khrima are drawing the attention of the few Eternals who can stop him. Other Player Characters: Drecker- a capable thief who has fallen desperately in love with Karashi Gildward- a bard who holds the only weakness of the Eternals- the Melody of Finite Karashi- a loyal ninja who works with the heroes to take out Khrima for reasons of her own... Chookie- an infuriatingly cute thing that doesn't really do much... Spybot- Short for Evil Killer Death Spybot 5000, he works for Khrima, but only Ardam ACTUALLY thinks he's really evil Tesla- a gunner madly in love with Ardam Lumi- a white mage who works for a church (and no, it isn't a world-controlling organization. Just a church.) Screenshots- Sadly, there aren't any character sprites yet (I do have a spriter whose working on some people though), but as soon as there are, screenshots will be added. Special Features- Special dueling mini-game Side-view battle system, akin to RPG Maker 2k3's Team: Writer- Slot #1- Legendary Spriter- (For both overworld sprites and battle sprites) Slot #1- Fate (but is sadly a bit of a temp) Slot #2- Empty Slot #3- Empty Eventer- Slot #1- Legendary Mapper- Slot #1- Legendary Slot #2- ??? Scripts- Not currently needed Music- Slot #1- Empty Slot #2- Empty Please note that even if all slots are filled up I might still accept people, as I want this to be much more of a team thing. Marked 197 Report post Posted October 14, 2006 I see you read my post on RPGXP Unlimited. This project sounds interesting, I havent heard of the comic before. I cannot join though sorry, but if you make requests in the user summitted resources and requests forum, I will try my best to help you. I can make you a menu though, thats what I can for scripting. It just finished last Monday, and there's a lot to do. And thanks for the compliments on the screenshots.
