Veteran RPG Maker here. Been using Rm2k since 2002, but moved to rmxp a while ago.
I don't want to use scripts, unless I really have to. That's just not my style. ;)
I want to use a Custom Menu System similar to the ones I used in Rm2k. But I can't. The Custom Menu System I used to make in Rm2k was opened on the map, so the character wasn't teleported to a map which was the menu. I can make this menu in Rmxp as well, but the problem is that I can open it at ANY TIME. In the middle of a "cutscene" when someone is talking, etc.
In Rm2k there was this handy checkbox "Allow other events to continue" or something like that, was the name. Uncheck the box, and other things can not happen while while somebody is talking. This handy checkbox does not exist in Rmxp. My guess is that it is changed somewhere in the script, something I have no idea how to change.
Can anyone tell me how to fix this? I would really appreciate it! Thanks beforehand. :B):
