Polraudio 122 Report post Posted November 28, 2008 Every once in a while i get the error "ISP Drive Error" Any clue what it is and any way to fix it?
Nisage 31 Report post Posted November 28, 2008 So I'm not the only one having that problem. Sorry, but I don't know what it is either, I also get another type of error. Something about being unable to connect to a "MySQL" or something like that. Maybe that MySQL is connected to the ISP Drive Error? I don't know, I'm as clueless as you are with this problem. Bahamut 0 Report post Posted November 28, 2008 I've encountered that error message too. I thought it was a problem with my ISP. But turns out, it has to do with this page.
Polraudio 122 Report post Posted November 28, 2008 I also get another type of error. Something about being unable to connect to a "MySQL" or something like that. I get that one also. And sometimes it cannot find the site.
Nisage 31 Report post Posted November 28, 2008 Same, when I first open my internet it always takes me to this site first. but sometimes it shows an "Internet can not display page" messege. I go to other sites to see if it's my internet connection or not. I went to youtube and veoh, connection works fine. So I clear my interenet history. I go to Control Pannel, Internet Options and start deleting Temporary Internet Files, Cookies, History, Form Data, Passwords and the Delete All button (first without the box next to "Also delete files and setting stored by add-ons" checked, then I put a green check in it) Then I can get onto this site again, or wait a few minutes and you can get back on again. Whichever method you perfer. On one hand I'm kind of glad that my computer isn't the only one getting these messeges, but on the other hand not so much since it's a pain. I also try pressing the F5 button to refresh, doesn't work all the time. I hope this (would we say "minor") problem get's fixed soon.

Polraudio 122 Report post Posted November 29, 2008 Its like a database that stores tons of site information. Mostly used for forums. The site has been running slow her to. This just started about a week ago.
RMXPirate 0 Report post Posted November 29, 2008 Yeah ive noticed the following: Somtimes images dont load. The whole forum takes a long time to load. Posts dont get posted right away or go to a blank page and you have to press back to repost it. The latest posts dont update correctly so you dont know a new post was made. Those are some of the few things ive noticed...
Marked 197 Report post Posted November 29, 2008 The ISP driver error and the "cannot connect to the database" errors that occur are just the forum/website not being able to connect to the database. Hence the error message "cannot connect to the database". They run on one database which is why you have one account for both. It is out of my power to fix this, and I assume even with direct access to the hosting service. However, I simple refresh with solve the problem, it only occurs for an instant. So its not a major problem, or a priority(at the moment) to get to the source of the problem and get this fix. What I will do though is clean up some forum stuff. Prune unnecessary logs. For example the bot logs have other 80,000 entries. Perhaps deleting those will help. Worth a at at least. Somtimes images dont load. The whole forum takes a long time to load. Posts dont get posted right away or go to a blank page and you have to press back to repost it. The latest posts dont update correctly so you dont know a new post was made. I'm not getting that from my computer.. but like i said will clean up some things and hopefully there will be an improvement.
Nisage 31 Report post Posted November 29, 2008 It's true that some images don't load, they're just blank. I've seen some peoples avatar pictures one moment and not there the next. It happened with me and I thought I just had to re-upload the picture again. And if a forum takes a long time to load (like this one was a while ago) I just refresh the page and I'm on in seconds. isaacsol 10 Report post Posted December 1, 2008 I will see what I can do, it seems to be only this site which is affected on my server. I will try and ask on a good IPB forum for help. Until then, I'm afraid that you will just have to grin and bare it. -isaacsol-
