Polraudio 122 Report post Posted February 28, 2009 Im ordering a 1TB external right now from walmart.com as we speak and i want to know one thing about the billing address. Im using a Visa Card and i want to know i use. Here is the question. Is this address also your billing address? ->Not apart of question:->(I used my home address)<- Yes No(Then we'll ask for it soon.) What one do i use? Like i said its my first time ordering online. I know its a stupid question.
Bahamut 0 Report post Posted February 28, 2009 Websites usually use two types of address: -Shipping Address: The address where you want the items you're ordering to go to. -Billing Address: The address on the debit/credit card. Usually people would want their stuff to go their home address, which is often the same they have on their cards. Hope that helped.
Nisage 31 Report post Posted February 28, 2009 It's not stupid, you just want to know, nothing wrong with that. Unfortunatly I never bought anything online, I just look at the online sites of stores and if they have anything I want I go to their store (mostly gamestop since it's close by :P) so I'm not sure. Bahamut 0 Report post Posted February 28, 2009 If you card's address is the same you want the stuff to ship to, then yes.
Leon 55 Report post Posted February 28, 2009 Always use the address of the credit card as the billing address. If you don't it could throw a flag to the wrong people giving the wrong impression. That being the card is stolen
Jesse66126 4 Report post Posted February 28, 2009 There are two main addresses you could use. One is your home address which can be risking, the second is a P.O. Box at your local post office. This is the safest choice, but requires you to go to the post office to pick the item up.
Joey 9 Report post Posted February 28, 2009 Ordering stuff online for the first time with your credit/debit card can get confusing...it's happened to me tons of times. XD
Polraudio 122 Report post Posted February 28, 2009 I got it now. Thanks everyone The total with 1 day shipping is $144.00 Not bad for a 1TB(1000gb) external
Joey 9 Report post Posted February 28, 2009 Sheesh what are you planning on doing with all that memory anyways? XD What is TB anyways? I don't hear it often. :P
Nisage 31 Report post Posted February 28, 2009 TB = Tere Byte
Kiriashi 117 Report post Posted February 28, 2009 A TB is a terabyte, which, according to binary arithmetic, has 1,099,511,627,776 bytes. Also, 1 terabyte = 1024 gigabytes. So getting a Dulce Systems 4 TB PRO DQ Hard Drive Array 960-0400-0 would mean never having to delete anything.... ever. Polraudio, simplest way to put it is: Shipping address = who gets it Billing address = who pays for it EDIT: DAMN YOU NISAGE!!! lol

Joey 9 Report post Posted February 28, 2009 lol yeah, and actually computer told me what TB stood for when I posted the post. Which was new...weird, it never happened before.
Kiriashi 117 Report post Posted March 1, 2009 What do you mean by that? *explodes randomly*
Joey 9 Report post Posted March 1, 2009 I dunno, when I use abbreviations like MB or TB it underlines the word when I post it and tells me what it stands for when I put the mouse over it. I've never seen the computer do that before.
Kiriashi 117 Report post Posted March 1, 2009 That is kinda cool. What are you going to put on your extra space Polraudio?
Polraudio 122 Report post Posted March 2, 2009 Im going to use it as a backup for my system restore. Back up my big DVD collection. Backup my game disks with power iso. So its mostly going to be used as a backup. I makes watching movies easier. Just RIP DVD to drive. Plug drive to PS3 and wala. Then i can put DVD's into storage. Well worth the 144$ Im constantly running out of my memory on my laptop. 120gb lol not much there. Think i should write a list of all my DVD's and games?
