Ephemeral Fantasia

Recommended Posts

I'm about to get another PS2 game, and it's Ephemeral Fantasia. True I found it as a "Used" game, but it's still in good condition, but I like games that come with those game booklets, which this Ephemeral Fantasia doesn't have. Maybe one that another game store has, but that store is about 100 miles away. Should I just buy the game and send a letter, and or email to the company to see if I can buy a game booklet from them? Anyone know what I should do? Also on a side note, the other PS2 games I got are Ys: The Ark of Napishtim, and (I know some of you have heard of this one before since I've seen it in here somewhere) Radiata Stories.

that game is VERY hard.I would try to find a strategy guide, too.

The 72 page guide on Gamefaqs.com isn't much help without pictures.

Without a strategy guide,I promise YOU WILL NEVER COMPLETE IT! Muawhaha!

(Seriously though, that game is rediculously hard.)

@Arkbennett: Ebay, of course. Forgot about ebay, that's an option.

@Jesse66126: And that's all the more reason to get it, hard RPGs are fun (besides, how hard can a game be?). And what if I do complete it without a guide, and without a walkthrough on it, no internet cheat help at all? This'll be fun. :)

Dude, if I were you, I'd just buy it. It isn't worth it to get it used. Get it new.

I wish I could get it new, but the only place to get it new is on Amazon which cost $40, and I dont have enough to get it new :( And besides, I like games to come in their original cases with their own pictures in them (along with the booklets).

Okay lol,I'll explain why.

Ephermal Fantasia uses a clock system. 24 minutes = 1 day,you get one week per time loop.

Yes,TIME LOOP! The cruelest part of the game is it makes you feel like you're not making any progress.

You have to be at a certain place at a certain time to trigger an event, plus you have to make the right choices when talking to someone or you'll have to wait until the next time loop.

How to beat the game:

Recruit all the characters and lower the final boss's 3 protection relics to make him un-imortal.

The trick to recruiting a character is to meet them on a certain day at a certain time,to start the event to

recruit them.

Rinna:

RinnaSM.jpg

Rinna, for example, you have to recruit Claire,and...this is very important,if you screw up you will never have another chance to recruit Rinna...

The first day after you recruit Claire, she will bad mouth the evil king, and reveal that he's causing a time loop.

Rinna will over hear this and run away.

On Day 3,you speak to Rinna's father and he will tell you she ran away.

You must find Rinna at her favorite spot deep in the woods on the east side of the island, she will be there getting attacked by bad guys, kill them, then you get to play Rinna a song; The hardest song in the game!!

"Wood's Energy"(If you can handle Guitar Hero, you'll have no trouble at all though.)

The guitar parts are never all that important, you can usually pick the easiest song to play and win like that.

After that,Rinna will sleep for the rest of the week, then on Day 1,she'll be there to greet you at the docks.

The reason I told you all this is 'cus playing the game without Rinna is VERY hard.

She has the best healing and protection spells in the game.

Sounds somewhat easy to get her, and Guitar Hero you say? (This'll be very easy then since I rule at it) But the whole time loop, that's unique, and makes things more fun ^_^ I mean, why make it easy to get the characters right? No fun in that if it was.

Dude, Nisage, do you live in the middle of Canada or something? Just go out and buy it at a store. Driving shouldn't be a problem as long as it doesn't take over 3 hours.

I'm apparently going with ebay, once the reply to a messege comes that is. And question for the Radiata Stories, are you suppose to lose in your first fight in the coliseum or not?

That sounds like Kingdom Hearts! You fight Sephiroth but you die instantly. :/ I hate the Masamune! (Sephiroth's freaking long sword)

I forgot to mention that I got the game. I won it on ebay yesterday, I just now have to wait for it to come here from the UK. Which is what, 2 and a half weeks?

Edit: I was up until 4 in the morning to make sure I got it.

Thanks, I got it for $5.52 (plus $4 for shipping and handling), is that cheap? I was going to try and get a different Ephemeral Fantasia on ebay, but the person said it was rated "E" when the game cover said it's rated "T", so I searched again for one that was ending soon.

Edit: Hope it comes soon, I want to play it.

O.o it might be in poor condition if it's that cheap...

Like my Star Ocean Till the End of Time game.

Disc 2 had a few scratches and I had to rent in from Block Buster to complete it.

That sucks, at least you beat it right? And actually there were 4 other bids on it before I bid on it.

Yeah. It would freeze after like a certain boss fight.

Once I cleared that guy on my Block Buster copy,I cleared the rest of the game using mine.

I have the same error with one of my games, but it's for the final boss. Once you beat him, it'll show a few scenes of what'll happen to the characters on your team, and it's supposed to show the credits after the scenes, but it sometimes shows a black screen, I had to beat the final boss 3 to 4 times to finally get the credits to show (at least I knew what to expect from the final boss.)

Radiata Stories sounds like a cliche RPG Maker game! xD

Why is it so hard to not be cliche when it comes to RPGs?!
