I'd save the trouble of having to re-post the older works to save space.</div>

Wow! These are all really good! Nice job! Jeep up the good work.

I don't sprite, so I can't give real C&C, but I think the eyes are too similar to RTPs. Sprite your own and post them here!

well to fit with rtp style.... you can't change the eyes really.

and lol, hi caro, thats what I said when I got here to XD

btw, how did you get child sprite idea from me? @_@

as for C&C, the spirits look really rigid, I'd either shade them more, or squish their head down, I think the best would might be lower their eyes.

Dude, monkey, when he says RTP style, he means make it work for RPG Maker XP. I'm saying use differnet eyes. I'm sure he didn't base those sprites off of other RMXP sprites.

wait, wut?

... I seriously don't get what you're saying...

the rtp eyes is 4x3 pixels, it's pretty much the same for all rtp characters, lol, the only thing that can really change is the color, if you change the style or shape of the eyes, it'll be different from rtp.

the eyes are already on the sprite bases, well, I don't use rtp anymore, but still, theres not much change you can do unless it's a facial expression.

annnnd... Caro's a she, lol

There are more . . . just that I'm almost finishing the cast itself.

:< & Ming, Everyone has their different tastes, I had been experimenting with skin tones & new eyes for it, but simply find RTP more 'easier' for what I quite want :3

Regarding your question of the sprite child, Your incomplete sprite of Y is what inspire on the size xD

Althou not much of an update, but wanted to show something I had started working on (And been even more of a pain than Ruu / Monobe Sprite)

4rf4.png

I had to make the darn thing from scratch, and it was rather frustrating since It sometimes didn't even looked like a circle or such. there's still some parts to fix that I realize, but I'm more interested in giving it's texture and shading.

I'm having trouble making it, since I don't have a clear idea of how I want to shade the bottom & such fo it can give the effect of been round and floating. -.-;;

show it at normal size, it's kinda hard to say, I say avoid the super contrast shading, it just makes it look like a marble, the platforms look more like concrete.

It's also not shaped like a half ball, it's more like a upside down horse rider hat. It curves out again at the top.

Also, keep in mind the perspective, with the RTP tileset, the amount of the side you should be seeing should be like one or two squares.

Isn't Soul Reaver a Playstation game where you play as this monster guy who sucks out people's souls.

He has like a neck-scarf over his mouth and then he pulls it down and breaths in souls,and makes this weird inhaling sound.

floatingplatformbeta3e.png

Even now I don't know what the hell I just did, but I ain't liking it in one bit . . . (It's on the right size now).

This is far harder than the roots >__>;;

-------------------

@Jess: I know . . . . but I won't bother changing said title, and Ming knows why. *twitch*

If you are looking to make a blue floating cut in half orb, I think it looks perfect. xD

compared to rtp tilesets, it's only a bit more textured, if you're going to completely pixelate it, you're going to have to use 2-3 colors, keep the contrast low, and use a reflective highlight principle:

Dark btoom, highlight sliver, and then the normal color, and some highlight again.

anyways, I don't think it'll stand out too much, it's no good right now, but it's still much better than what you were trying to do before.

<shrugs> I'll get back to it later on, It's frustrating at the moment, since I actually don't know what I'm doing. (Simply using every button and snipped in Photoshop and one gets something out of random)

@Jess: I never notice it was from said game ti'll later was pointed out. The logo is already designed among other things, and the last name brought quite trouble in .org, And neither of said names satisfied & it fits the meaning I wanted. So I ain't bothering to change it.

Two fun things I've done to refresh myself:

d2e2d.png

New Floor & Wall Tile for the tileset with the root. I questioned why no one has done something like this cubes, they would fit for that 'super weapon' or 'final battle / dungeon' in RPGs if it has some technological or such story. I really like it, and refreshed my head from the platform itself. I might fix the 'blue lines' to make themlook more square-ish in some areas.

Sieg been there for size comparasion. These 'Cubes' are based of both Seinarukana & 'Castle in the Sky' same cubes. It gives a feeling of both Technological-Magical advancement to the tileset and even the dark purpose to which the place was constructed the now 'ruined' citadel with the Roots of Yggdrasil.

Thinking of probably sharing it as an Add-on.

434d.png

Simple Sprite Frankespriting, nothing else, nothing more, thou I'll be keeping on adding more white and get rid of that Fur.

>__>;; One of 5 only monsters of SR which the player fights, not givng this one story details, as to not to spoil, but it gives that 'Fallen Angel' feeling instead of an Angel with black wings.

the top of the cube is way to large.

RMXP perspective is overhead at approx. a 45 degree angle, so if it's a cube, you should only see about half of the side height.

otherwise, the frankenspriting looks great and I absolutely love the details on the cube.

Well, the player does have to walk on it >__>;; Either ways, Death made a fixed proportion version of it on rmrk.

Now All that I'm just doing is fixing the Roots & the tileset itself :x

of course, but I'm talking more so about the edges, if it's a single cube, at the least, it should be smaller than the side view, 3/4 is good, death is pretty much spot on, maybe a slight pixel or two shorter, but might be different in game.
