Polraudio 122 Report post Posted March 12, 2009 Most you know already that you can hold shift while making maps to make it where the autotiles dont get messed up when trying to put things on top of them. So no need to put full objects on layer 3. By full i mean they take up the whole 32x32 square and have no transparency. Try it out. I know i know everyone knows this. Just thaught i would let you know.
Nisage 31 Report post Posted March 12, 2009 Actually, I heard about this before (forgot where), but I kind of forgot all about it. Thanks for the reminder.
aya_miyaca 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2009 never knew about this. thanks for telling, is it only applicable to autotiles?
Kiriashi 117 Report post Posted June 13, 2009 grrr, necro-posting the third time.. Actually no, it works cross-way too. You can get an auto-tile and hold shift to get it's base, or you could make some water and then hold shift when making a bridge across it to prevent it from creating land around the bridge, or you can even double click on an autotile from the tileset to bring up the auto-tile base bank. This is used when you want to disable the AUTO in autotile.
