Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Fantasy

Recommended Posts

The first, revised chapter of Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Fantasy. This is the storyline of the original Legend of Zelda game. I warn people...this story may be darker then others I have written. For this story, I am doing something I've never done before to see if it will help (it has so far). I am outlining the entire story, then posting up each chapter as I finished them using the outline for each chapter.

Chapter 1

Chapter 1: A Girl Named Link

“Let go of me, you pig!” a young girl of about fourteen yelled as she tried to pull away from her kidnapper. The girl was a stunning beauty. She wore a beautiful pink dress that covered her body, though the dress’s only straps went across to her arms, instead of up to her shoulders, leaving bare skin from her upper chest to her neck. The girl had beautiful blonde hair that flowed down to her waist, and she wore two white gloves that covered her hands.

The girl also had a pair of beautiful blue eyes that were fairly oval in shape. A crown of gold sat upon her head, though it seemed lopsided due to her being pulled around everywhere. Around her neck was a beautiful, golden necklace with many jewels. She appeared to be quite tall, being at least five feet if not taller in size. She was also fairly busty, though her chest wasn’t too large. This was the princess who was known as Zelda.

Before her was a large creature. It was at least eight feet tall, if not taller. Its skin was a strange shade of blue, and the stench from the creature was nauseating. It had a round, pig-like face with a long snout. It wore a purple robe that covered it from the bottom of its neck to its feet. Its two large hands were exposed, and large claws were upon each of them. It also wore a small helmet which seemed to cover the top of its head. Chances were, it wasn’t wearing it for protection.

“Now, Princess,” the pig spoke in a deep voice. “All of this could easily be put to an end, and you could be free.” Its voice seemed to rise now, moving into a higher pitch. “You only need to tell me where the Triforce of Wisdom is, and I will end all of this!”

“I’ll never tell you, pig face!” Zelda shouted as she pulled more.

The pig creature just growled. “You think you are protecting your land?” it spoke in a deep voice once more. “By refusing to tell me the location of the Triforce of Wisdom, you think I’ll just leave your land alone?” The pig suddenly gave off a laugh. “Don’t be a fool!” it shouted, this time in a higher pitch. “If you won’t tell me where the Triforce of Wisdom is, then I’ll just destroy your lands!” The pig smirked, now switching to a deep voice. “Starting with this place here…” The image of a farmland appeared before them. The pig let off a laugh once more. “Attack!” the pig gave the final command in a high pitched voice.

“Onee-sama!” a young girl shouted as she stepped into a small house that was connected to a large farmland. She was fairly tall for her age, being roughly four foot in height, but only being about nine. She had brown hair that came down to the middle of her back, and her left eye was emerald green in color while her right eye was brown in color. She wore a purple spaghetti-strap dress that ended around her knees. “Onee-sama!”

“What is it?” a female voice groaned.

“Onee-sama?” the girl asked as she looked around. “Where are you?”

“Over here, Chelsea,” the female voice groaned again and a hand popped out from a nearby door.

Chelsea quickly rushed over to the door and, much to her surprise, her big sister was lying upon the ground, looking as if she had been knocked out. “Onee-sama, what happened?”

Chelsea’s big sister was a tall girl, about fourteen years of age. She wore a green spaghetti strap dress of her own that also ended at her knees. Hers, though, was quite a bit looser then Chelsea’s was. As she sat up, one of the straps slowly slid down her arm, which she only gave a passing glance at. The dress became a bit lopsided now with only one strap holding it up. She groaned and rubbed the back of her head, then opened her eyes to look at Chelsea. Unlike Chelsea, her eyes were both the same color, being a fairly odd shade of red.

“What happened…?” Chelsea’s big sister asked and sighed. “I wish I knew…I really don’t recall at all…” She groaned again, then pulled on the fallen strap, pulling it back onto her shoulder. “Anyway…why did you need me, Chelsea?”

“Onee-sama, Mama told me to tell you ‘To get your butt downstairs, there are chores to be done’.”

Chelsea’s big sister seemed to choke at those words. “She actually said it that way?”

Chelsea nodded. “Exactly that way.”

Chelsea’s big sister sighed as she stood to her feet. “All right…let me get changed…I’m not working with Cuccos in a dress…no matter what Mom says…”

“Mama also said ‘Don’t let Link put on that tunic. She is a girl, so she should wear a dress like every other girl.’”

Chelsea’s big sister froze and growled. “Mother…” she sighed. “Well, I don’t care what she says…I’m not wearing a dress if I’m going to be working with Cuccos in a dress…especially not these dresses…” She sighed again. “I don’t understand. Mom doesn’t wear clothes like this, why do we have to?”

“Umm…actually…Link-onee-sama…I like these clothes…”

Link sighed. “Yeah…they didn’t bug me that much at that age either…it was when I started developing chest-wise that I started hating them…”

“I think you’re chest is fine, though,” Chelsea blurted out, which caught Link so off guard she tripped and fell.

“Err…” Link sighed and sat herself up to look at Chelsea. “Chelsea…it’s not that I don’t like it…or that there is anything wrong with it… It’s just…once you start growing…you establish a whole new style of modesty… Instead of just wanting to keep one part of you covered, you start wanting to keep it all covered.”

“Why?” Chelsea asked, tilting her head.

“Well…I don’t really know…but everyone is like that…”

“I won’t be like that.” Chelsea folded her arms and looked away.

Link giggled. “We’ll see when you start growing.” She stood to her feet once more and tossed her dress aside. She then grabbed a green tunic from a small chest in her closet and pulled it on. She then pulled on a pair of tights, then fastened a belt around her waist. As a final piece, she pulled on a long green hat as well.

“Link-onee-sama looks like a hero!” Chelsa spoke and smiled.

“A hero?” Link smiled and ruffled her sister’s hair. “Nice try, sis, but I doubt I’ll ever be some kind of-” It was as if all of time had stopped suddenly, all except for her. The world around Link had seemed to become completely grayscaled, and a feeling of dread passed over her. “What…is going on?”

“She’s the one,” a whisper of a voice seemed to speak out.

“She can’t be the one,” another whisper seemed to speak.

“But she is the one! There’s no doubt about it!”

“Impossible, she doesn’t have the aura.”

“Then maybe she hasn’t awoken, yet.”

“Then how do we know its her if she hasn’t awoken yet?”

“We just suspect. She has the tunic, doesn’t she?”

“Who cares? Lots of people have green tunics. How do we even know it’s a girl this time?”

“Because she’s always a girl, you idiot!”

“You fools!” a third whispery voice suddenly spoke up. “What have you done? Everything is frozen!”

“He told us to use the magic timer once we found her, though,” the first voice spoke.

“Yeah! So we did!” the second spoke.

“Then why is she still moving, but everything else is frozen?” the third asked.

“I don’t know,” the second responded.

“Did you use it correctly?”

“Of course, sir!” the first spoke up, though still a whisper.

“She should not be moving if you used it correctly, then!” the third voice shouted, though it still sounded like a whisper.

“She moves because I protected her,” a fourth whisper of a voice spoke. This one was very obviously female.

“What? No! It can’t be!” the third voice shouted in a whisper. A moment later, the sounds of three voices screaming at a whisper were heard, then the world seemed to shift out of grayscale once again, causing everything to resume once more.

Link blinked as she looked around. Chelsea just stared at her. “Are you okay, Onee-sama?” she asked.

“Y-yeah…I…think so…” Link spoke, whirling around once. She sighed, then turned to walk forward, only to find her path blocked. There was now a tall woman of about twenty in front of her. The woman had long blonde hair, and in her hand lied a large sword that had a purple hilt. The blade seemed to be made of pure silver, and three triangles could be seen upon the end of the blade, just before the hilt.

Between the hilt and the blade of the sword was a large, golden triangle which seemed to shine with magic power. The hilt itself seemed to be formed into a W shape which then extended from the middle of the W to form the handle. The woman holding the blade seemed to be wearing a green tunic, much similar to the one that Link wore now. She was well developed in the chest, and her eyes were both a shade of ocean blue. “Wh-who are you?” Link asked as she pulled herself back into a fighting stance.

“Onee-sama?” Chelsea asked, staring forward. “Who are you talking to?”

Link blinked and turned back to Chelsea. “What do you mean? Don’t you see-” When Link looked back, the girl was gone.

“See what?”

“Nothing…I guess…I was just seeing things…” Link sighed and stood back into a normal standing position. “Let’s go see Mom.” The two then began to walk forward, heading their way through the farmhouse and into the horse corral. “Mom!” Link shouted.

“Over here, Link!” Link’s Mom shouted in return. “You aren’t wearing that tunic are you?”

“Of course I am, Mom!” Link shouted back.

“Take that thing off and put on one of those dresses I bought you.”

“I’m not wearing that while working out here, Mom. The straps slip a lot, and I’ve had more then once where the dress has just plain fallen off.” Link turned a corner, but she was not met by her Mother, but instead by a large, blue, pig-like creature that stood on to back legs and wore a suit of armor that covered its chest and legs.

“Me destroy you!” the pig creature shouted and Link quickly side-stepped out of the way as it lunged at her.

“What the heck is that thing?” Link shouted.

“What thing, dear?” Link’s Mom called back.

“This blue pig creature?”

“What blue pig crea-” Link’s Mom’s sentence seemed to stop suddenly, which was then followed by a loud shriek.

“Mom!” Link shouted, turning her attention away from the pig-creature for a single moment. The creature took the opportunity to jump on Link, knocking her to the ground.

“For Ganon!” the creature shouted as it held her down tight, then rose a dagger up into the air. The dagger came down, slicing directly into Link’s shoulder, causing her to scream in pain and sending blood flying. The sight made Chelsea throw up almost immediately, then caused her to quickly jump back, only to find two large arms wrap around her as another pig-creature had now captured her.

“Kill her!” the second creature shouted.

“Ganon not say kill her, though,” the first creature spoke. “Just say stab her with dagger.”

“Really? Usually Ganon say kill…”

“Maybe Ganon want her alive?”

“Or maybe Ganon wants you to stab the dagger through her chest, not the shoulder,” a female voice spoke and the creatures looked up. There, standing in front of them was a girl of about twenty years old. Her left eye was a very odd shade of red, while her right eye was a very odd shade of violet. She also had long blonde hair which she had pulled into a ponytail, and in its current state, her hair ended halfway down her neck. Her outfit consisted of a black, strapless suit which seemed to go from mid-chest to lower body. It was designed to show off every bit of her legs and hips, and also seemed quite tight upon her. It was to tight it seemed it might actually push her breasts right out if it was any tighter.

“Ganon send Tamuril to aid Moblins?” the creature holding Link asked.

“That’s right. Ganon sent me to make sure you do your job right. Everyone on this farm, I repeat, everyone, is supposed to be dead before you leave. All the Hylians, all the animals, everyone.”

“Duh…then he wants us to kill each other too?” the Moblin holding Chelsea asked.

Tamuril slapped her forehead. “No, you imbecile!” she shouted. “He wants everyone that isn’t part of his army to be dead!”

“Duh, oh! Ok! So, then, I should kill this one?” the Moblin holding Chelsea asked.

“You harm her, and you’re dead!” Link shouted.

“Kill her,” Tamuril spoke and the Moblin nodded. Chelsea felt the Moblin’s grip shift so that only one hand was wrapped around her. Chelsea immediately began to kick and scream, trying to get free as the Moblin’s hand gripped her throat, beginning to choke her.

“No!” Link shouted. It was then a strange feeling came over her, as if she was now twenty times stronger then before. She quickly grabbed the Moblin’s dagger and ripped it from her shoulder, proceeding to then stab the Moblin in the knee. It roared and jumped off and began to hop up and down.

Link then twirled onto her back and tossed the dagger forward. It struck the Moblin holding Chelsea directly in the forehead. The pig beast paused for a single moment, not moving. A moment later, its body seemed to shine brightly, then vanish as if it had been only an illusion.

Chelsea fell to the ground and quickly gasped for breathe, choking and coughing as she did. “Chelsea!” Link shouted.

“Kill them!” Tamuril shouted to the remaining Moblin, who turned and charged at Link. Link felt the Moblin’s arms wrap around her and Link quickly pulled herself forward, flipping the beast over her and onto the ground. She then grabbed a nearby pitchfork and stabbed it through the Moblin’s chest. It paused for a moment as well, then vanished like the first.

Tamuril bit her lip at this. “How are you so strong all of a sudden?” she asked in a low growl.

“I don’t know, and I don’t care,” Link spoke. “I’m going to kick your ass for messing with my family!”

“Such vulgar language from a girl, and around a child at that.”

“I don’t give two shits right now about my language. You’ve pissed me off by trying to kill my little sister.”

“And don’t forget that I have successfully killed both of your parents as well.” Tamuril smirked.

“You did what?!” Link shouted and growled. She rushed forward. “You’ll pay!” Tamuril pulled her hand back, forming a large ball of energy in her hand. She then sent it forward and it struck Link, knocking her back and to the ground.

Tamuril laughed evilly, then began to walk in her direction. Link’s vision then went dark and all went black around her. It was some time before she re-awoke once again. Much to her surprise, Tamuril was gone. She groaned as she sat up. She then sniffed a little, a rancid smell now entering her nostrils. It was the smell of smoke. “Fire?” Link asked as she quickly turned. She rushed out of the corral to bear witness to a horrific sight.

Before her, the farmhouse was in flames. Next to that were three spears, upon the tops of each lied the head of a family member. “No…” Link spoke as she stared at the destruction. She was the only one left alive. “No, this can’t be…this can’t be at all…” She slammed her fist upon the ground. “No!” she shouted. “Mom…Dad…Chelsea…” Tears of hatred and sorrow rolled down her cheeks. “I will avenge you all…I swear, I will avenge you all!”

* * *

From a distance, Tamuril watched, smirking. “Now, what will happen?” she asked. “I left The One alive on purpose, but I destroyed her family. Will revenge blind her and keep her from becoming the True Chosen One? Or will it not matter without the sword?” A harsh wind blew, and Tamuril growled. “So, that’s the truth, then. You plan to touch her before she can be swallowed by revenge? How interesting.” She smirked and quickly jumped back. “Then go, Hero of Time! Go and rescue her!” Tamuril gave an insane laugh, then twirled around and vanished.

* * *

“Link,” a female voice whispered and Link looked up.

“Wh-who’s there?” Link asked.

“It is time you learned who you are. It is time you learned the truth about yourself, and the land. Come with me, and I will teach you everything.” Suddenly, the woman with the sword from before appeared before Link once again and held her hand out. “Come with me.”

“Who are you?”

“Come with me, and all will be explained.”

Link bit her lip. “Explain first!”

“That is impossible.”

“And why is that?”

“Come with me, and you will be shown everything.”

Link growled and bit her lip once more. “You’re a ghost, aren’t you?” The woman just stayed silent. “You promise that, if I go with you, everything will be explained?”

“Yes.”

“Then take me wherever you must.” Link held her hand out and touched the hand of the woman. In an instant, their minds seemed to link together, and Link found herself flooded with memories. She also felt as if she was being carried somewhere, and when the memories finished and the visions were gone, she found herself in the middle of a giant piece of empty land, with no direction of where she was going, but with a new feeling of purpose. She had seen the truth. She was destined to be alone, and this had made her alone. She was the Hero of Time, and she had to find the evil that now threatened the land and to stop it, so that no others would fall victim like she had.

* * *

The pig creature gave a laugh as he watched the farmhouse burn down through the image. “You see, Zelda,” it spoke with a high pitch voice, “I will not leave your land alone! You will give me the Triforce, or more will pay!” It switched to a deeper voice now. “You will tell me where the Triforce of Wisdom is, or soon your whole land will be lined with skulls upon pikes.” The pig creature gave out an insane laugh, and Zelda could only stare at the horrendous display before her. This creature had killed even an innocent child in his twisted plot. Zelda’s heart sank, and her head dropped down.

The pig creature smirked. “I will give you a day to think it over…but make me wait too long, and more of this will occur.” It snapped its fingers and four skeletal warriors appeared. “Take her away!” it shouted in a high pitched voice and the skeletons nodded. They grabbed Zelda and dragged her away, and Zelda didn’t care. All she cared was how much destruction the creature was willing to cause. She hoped that someone, somewhere, would find her and put an end to the tyranny of this mad creature.

Behold, Chapter 2!

Chapter 2: The Mystical Land of Hyrule

“Help me!” a female voice shouted from nearby, and Link turned quickly. She bit her lip, rushing towards the sound of the voice. As she stopped, her eyes went wide as she saw four strange creatures all standing around an elderly woman. The creatures looked somewhat like octopi, having eight long tentacles that came from their bodies. However, unlike octopi, these creatures were able to move on land and had large, round heads.

The elderly woman looked to be about sixty or seventy in age. Her long hair that ended at about her waist had gone completely gray, and her blue eyes looked faded, as if she had lived for quite some time. The elderly woman also wore a red robe that covered her body. “Help!” she shouted and Link rushed forward.

“I’m coming!” Link shouted, jumping in between Impa and the octopus-like monsters. “Hey, Octoroks, come deal with me!” The octopus-like creatures turned their attention to Link and gave a strange sort of growl. Link glanced to her belt, where the dagger she had taken from the Moblin now resided. She quickly drew the dagger, readying herself for battle.

“You plan to fight with a dagger?” the elderly woman asked.

“It’s all I’ve got. If you’ve got a better weapon, hand it over.” The elderly woman just shook her head to those words. “Then I’ve got no choice but to use this…” She held the dagger forward, then looked up to the Octoroks. “Let’s see if that ghost taught me anything good.”

One of the Octoroks pulled itself back, inhaling as it did. It then spit a large rock forward from its mouth and Link quickly swung the dagger, striking the rock with her dagger and knocking it away from her. She then aimed the dagger forward and it began to glow brightly. “Take this!” she shouted and a small bolt of energy shot forward from the dagger, striking the Octorok.

When it did, the Octorok paused for a single moment before its body began to glow. After a moment, the Octorok vanished and Link smirked. “Awesome, I zapped one.”

“Watch out!” the elderly woman shouted and Link turned in time to barely avoid a rock that was flying at her head.

“Whoa, that was a close one.” Link quickly aimed the dagger at another Octorok. “Good-bye!” She then launched off another bolt, zapping the second Octorok away. The other two Octoroks were now furious and they quickly inhaled, spitting out large rocks at Link. Link quickly rolled forward, stopping directly next to both Octoroks. With a single move, she zapped both Octoroks away.

“Amazing!” the elderly woman spoke. “I haven’t seen swordplay like that in years!”

Link rubbed the back of her neck and gave a nervous chuckle. “Well…to be honest…that was the first time I’ve ever done that before… There was this ghost-thing and it touched me, and I got all kinds of memories of how to fight and such from it…”

“A ghost thing? Memories?” the elderly woman put her hand to her chin. (This might be just the fool I was looking for,) she thought as an evil smirk seemed to cross her face. She then quickly regained herself and looked at Link with a straight face. “Are you Link, the Hero of Time?”

“Umm…well…my name is Link…I don’t know about being the Hero of Time, though.”

“I see…my name is Impa. I am the nurse of Princess Zelda herself.”

“Princess Zelda? Who’s that?”

Impa’s eyes went wide. “You don’t know who Princess Zelda is?”

“Umm…no…not really…” Link spoke as she rubbed the back of her neck, nervously. “You see…I come from the country…I’m not really sure where for that matter…I kind of got teleported here after my farm got burned down by some Moblins…”

Impa’s eyes went wide. (She was on that farm? Then how…why didn’t she… Never mind that…What’s important is the here and now.) Impa quickly cleared her throat. “I am sorry to hear about your loss, Link. I really am. I wish there was something I could do to help you with that.”

“Well…there’s nothing you can do about my farm or my family…they’re all gone now…”

“I see…and…why exactly are you, might I ask?”

“I’m not really sure…the ghost dropped me here and said something about ‘Search for the Triforce’ or something like that.”

(Search for the Triforce, huh? Perfect…) An evil grin crossed Impa’s face. After a moment, she cleared her throat once more and changed to a rather serious look. “I can tell you exactly what the ghost means by that.”

“And what does it mean?”

“You see…about a week or so ago, Princess Zelda was kidnapped from North Castle, which is far to the north of this place. It is where the Royal Family rules over all of Hyrule. Upon her capture, the Princess cast a spell which separated the Triforce of Wisdom into eight pieces. These eight pieces then scattered all over the land, and none are sure what became of them after that.”

“So, then, I need to find them, right?” Link asked.

“Exactly.” Impa nodded. “Now, here’s the thing…there is a man, Ganon, who is also after the Triforce of Wisdom. He will stop at nothing to obtain it, and you must not let him get the Triforce before you.”

“Again with Ganon…who is this Ganon person?”

“Ganon, or Mandrag Ganon as his full name is, is an evil wizard with untold power. One day, he came into North Castle, completely by himself, and stole away the Triforce of Power. He would have stolen away both Triforces, but luckily, Princess Zelda had it, and she was able to force Ganon away at the time. Since thing, Hyrule has been ransacked many times over by Ganon as he tries to conquer our land and take the Triforce of Wisdom.”

“How did Zelda get kidnapped then?”

“Zelda was out in one of the towns…when Ganon appeared, she thought she could defeat him, like she had before. However, even with the Triforce of Wisdom, she could not stop an entire army from laying siege to the town, and in turn, the town was not only destroyed, but Zelda was also captured.”

“I see…and exactly…what are these Triforce things?”

“There are two Triforces…Power and Wisdom. They are ancient artifacts left behind by the Goddesses who created this world. When brought together, their power is such that they can bring everlasting peace to all of Hyrule…or everlasting chaos. That is what Ganon wants, everlasting chaos. He wants to rule all of Hyrule, and he knows that if he can obtain both Triforces, he will be able to.”

“That’s terrible,” Link spoke and growled. “So, then, I need to stop Ganon from getting the Triforce of Wisdom before it is too late.”

“Exactly. If Ganon gets the Triforce of Wisdom, there is no stopping him. He already has the Triforce of Power, and with that, he is already immortal. There are only two things that can stop Ganon. Those are the Triforce of Wisdom and the Silver Arrow.”

“The Silver Arrow?” Link asked.

Ganon nodded. “The Silver Arrow…it’s a special arrow made of pure silver, as you can probably guess. One shot from that, and Ganon will be destroyed.”

“And how do you make this…Silver Arrow…”

“No one knows…some say it is something only the Triforce can do.”

“I see…so I need the Triforce of Wisdom to create the Silver Arrow. With the Silver Arrow, I can kill Ganon, right?”

Impa nodded. “Exactly.”

“All right…where do I go from here, then? I need to find the Triforce of Wisdom, but I also have no clue where to go.”

“Well…about the best I can do there is offer you this map…” Impa then reached into her pouch and pulled out a scroll, which she handed to Link. Link then pulled it open and looked at it. “This is a map of just Southern Hyrule. Right here,” Impa spoke as she pointed to a spot near the top left of the map, “is a place called Spectacle Rock. That is where Ganon is.”

“Spectacle Rock, huh?” Link asked and stared at the map. “So, then, before I go there I need to find all of the Triforce pieces, right?”

“Exactly.”

Link sighed. “I guess that’s the best that can be done, then…” Link rolled up the scroll and stuck it into her pouch. “You’re sure that’s the best you can give me?”

“Unfortunately, it is, Link. I really don’t know where any of the pieces are.”

Link sighed and put her hand to her chin as she thought. “If I was Zelda…where would I put the Triforce at…It would have to be somewhere safe…somewhere that Ganon wouldn’t know where it was…”

“That would be very difficult…he owns all of the Underworld, after all. The only safe place would be up here in the Overworld, where Ganon can’t find it…”

“Or maybe not…” Link spoke, getting an idea. “Impa…how do I get into the Underworld other then through Spectacle Rock?”

“Well…there’s all kinds of different Underworld Entrances. None of them are linked together…but Ganon can also teleport his troops all over the Underworld…”

“So, where are some of the Underworld Entrances, then?”

“Why?” Impa blinked, looking confused.

“I think I might know where the Triforce pieces are.” Link pulled out the map once more and held it out to Impa. “Show me where all of the Underworld Entrances are.”

Impa waved her hand over the map, and from it, several different locations on the map all began to glow. “I still don’t understand…why would you want to go into the Underworld?”

“If I was Zelda, I’d hide the Triforce pieces right where Ganon wouldn’t think to look for them. I’ll bet, since Ganon owns the Underworld that he won’t think about the chance of the Triforce pieces being in the Underworld. After all, to do so would just be stupid. However, if he thought that, then the Underworld would actually turn out to be the safest place to hide them.”

“Of course!” Impa shouted. “That does make perfect sense! In which case, she’d also hide them in the larger dungeons, so that, even if Ganon did think that, he’d have to do a lot of searching.” Impa waved her hand over the map. The small marks on the map quickly vanished, leaving only nine different marks throughout the map. “These are the eight locations I would guess Zelda would place the Triforce, due to them being the largest dungeons around. This ninth one is Spectacle Rock.”

“Then that’s where I’m going.” Link held the map up and looked over it. “So, we have one there in the Lake. One there in the forest. One in the mountains. One by the fairies. One at the end of the river. Oh wait, I guess that one makes two in the lake, doesn’t it? One in the desert? Oh jeez…that’ll be hot…And one in the…graveyard?” Link bit her lip as fear crossed her face when she saw the last one. She sighed, calming herself down. “Be brave, Link.” She looked back up at Impa. “All right, I’m ready, then.”

“Are you sure? Is that dagger really going to be enough?” Impa asked.

“Unless you have something better, it’s all I’ve got.”

Impa smiled and nodded. “I understand. Then go, and be careful. You can’t afford to let a single Triforce piece fall into Ganon’s hands.”

“I’ll do my best, Impa.” Link turned and sighed. This was going to be the start of her first, big adventure. She stood confidently as she stared out into the horizon for a moment before she began to move her feet, moving her forward.

“Goddesses speed, Link!” Impa spoke as she waved to Link as she walked off to begin her adventure. An evil grin then slipped over her face and she turned. “So…now I know the locations of the Triforce of Wisdom.” Her voice began to deepen, and soon it had completely changed to the strange voice the pig-creature had used.

“Master Ganon, was it wise to tell her about the Silver Arrow?” a voice asked, and Impa looked up. In front of her was a rather large skeleton-like warrior.

“Yes,” Impa spoke and closed her eyes. Darkness poured over her body and soon her shape began to change. The red robe began a dark purple robe, and her arms became more muscular, claws forming at the ends. Her hair seemed to vanish, forming into a small helmet at the top of her head, and her face changed to that of the pig-demon from before. Her height then increased several feet, and finally, her eyes open. She then tossed away the darkness, revealing her true form to be the pig-demon from before.

“But, Master Ganon…how was that smart? I don’t understand.”

“It’s simple, Stalfos,” Ganon spoke in a deep voice. “You see, once Link gets the Triforce of Wisdom, I’ll lure him to my lair in Spectacle Rock.” His voice then rose to a high pitched tone. “Once there, the monsters of my lair will destroy her!”

“But…what if they don’t?”

Ganon growled. “Then I will take care of her myself!”

“What if she has the Silver Arrow?” a female voice asked, and Ganon looked up. Tamuril then dropped from above, landing in front of Ganon.

“She won’t have the Silver Arrow,” Ganon spoke in a deep voice. “It takes two things to forge a Silver Arrow. The first is the Triforce of Wisdom, and the second is the ability to create a Light Arrow. This Link has neither, and by the end of her adventure, she’ll only have one.”

“The Triforce of Wisdom…” Tamuril spoke, folding her arms across her chest.

“Yes!” Ganon spoke in a higher pitched tone now. “So you see, my plan is fool proof!”

Tamuril laughed. “Fool proof…like your plan to wipe out the entire farm, and kill everyone on it?”

“You were supposed to make sure they were dead! Why did you leave her alive?”

Tamuril shrugged. “I thought she was dead, plain and simple. When I left her body, she wasn’t breathing.”

“And you didn’t chop off her head and stick it on a pike like the others for what reason?”

“I didn’t think it necessary. Besides, unlike you, I’m not a filthy murderer. I let your Moblins do the killing. I simply gave them the order to kill. You’re the cold blooded one who had them kill someone as innocent as a nine-year-old child.”

Ganon growled in a deep voice. “Then you are questioning my authority?”

“No,” Tamuril spoke right away. “I’m simply questioning your methods. To kill men and women is one thing, but I won’t have the blood of a child on my hands.” She then turned and quickly pushed off from the ground, leaping into the air and out of sight.

Ganon roared. “Why do I even put up with her?” he shouted in a high pitched voice.

“She’s the strongest warrior we know that is willing to work on our side, Master Ganon,” the Stalfos spoke.

Ganon growled in a low voice. “In either case…let us return to the Underworld,” he spoke in a higher pitched voice. “We have a wonderful Princess waiting for us…and I think I know what kind of fun we can have with her while we wait for Link to bring the Triforce of Wisdom to me.” He snapped his fingers and the ground arose, creating a large cavern opening before them. He walked forward into the opening, then snapped his fingers once more. As the entrance closed, Ganon could be seen teleporting away into another part of the Underworld, his laugh echoing as he did.

hapter 3: Aquamentas of the Lake

“Go away!” Link shouted as she found herself surrounded by Moblins. She bit her lip, holding her dagger forward. “I don’t want to kill you if I don’t have to.”

One of the Moblins laughed. “You no be able to kill us. We destroy puny Link!” it spoke.

“I warned you…” Link closed her eyes as she held the dagger forward. She pulled the dagger to her side and looked forward, opening her eyes once more. “Forest Beam!” she shouted as she swung the dagger forward, unleashing a large blast of green energy. It struck several of the Moblins in front of her, and they quickly vanished like before.

“What was that?” one of the Moblins asked.

“Don’t know, Ganon not tell us about that,” another Moblin spoke.

“Get her!” a third Moblin shouted. With that shout, the Moblins rushed forward. Link quickly flipped over the mob that was charging at her, landing quickly behind them. Her foot then slipped and she fell to the ground.

“Wah! That’s harder then I thought!” Link shouted, rubbing her butt as she looked up, noticing the Moblins had all turned back to her. “Wah!”

“Alora ahora, pikapika hikatteimasu ya!” a female voice shouted suddenly. A moment later, a bright light seemed to come from behind the Moblins, making them vanish in an instant. Link stared, unsure of what had happened. It was only a moment later before a young girl, looking only about nine years old, walked onto the scene. She had long blonde hair that ended at her waist, and she wore a red dress which was in a similar style to Link’s. She had amazing ocean blue eyes, and a golden necklace was around her neck. At the end of the necklace was a phoenix, which was the standard symbol of Hyrule. “Are you alright?”

“Y-yeah…who are you?” Link asked.

“My name is Elizabeth Marie Elenoi, but please, just call me Elli,” the kid responded. “I hate it when people call me anything else.”

“I’m Link Marian Ysond. What did you do just now that got rid of the Moblins?”

“My Grandfather is a mage, so he taught me magic. That attack was ‘Shining Arrows’. It’s good for taking out enemies if they don’t know the attack is coming at them, but otherwise, it’s pretty useless. I’m not that strong of a mage, though. I’m only nine and haven’t been studying for long…”

“Oh? About how long?”

“A couple of years.”

“Well, thanks for the help in either case.” Link slowly stood to her feet and patted her outfit, getting the dirt off of it.

“No problem. So, why are you wandering around Hyrule for? It’s dangerous, you know?”

“I’m on a mission, actually, to free Princess Zelda.”

“Really?” Elli asked and thought for a moment. “Sounds interesting.”

“What about you?” Link asked. “Why is a nine year old wandering around Hyrule for?”

“That’s…” Elli spoke up at first, then looked down. “I…got separated from Grandpa…we were on our back to the town of Rauru…then Ganon attacked…I’m not sure what happened to my Grandpa…and I don’t know how to get back to town from here…”

“So, you’re looking for your Grandpa, then?” Link asked. Elli nodded in response. “Then I’ll help you look, too. Stick with me, and we’ll definitely work together to find him.”

“Really? That would be great. Thanks Onee-sama.”

Link blinked. “O-onee-sama…? Why are you using such a title all of a sudden?”

“Isn’t it normal to use that kind of title with women that are older then you?”

“Err…yeah…I guess so…” Link looked down.

“Is something wrong, Onee-sama?”

“Err…it’s just…” Link sighed and closed her eyes. “Calling me ‘Link’ is just fine…I’d rather you called me that.”

Elli blinked for a moment. “Well…if you’re sure…then okay, Link-sama.”

“Wah!” Link shouted suddenly. “Just ‘Link’ is fine, really! I’m really not anything special that you need to say ‘sama’ as well.”

“If you’re sure, then okay.”

“All right, well, I’m still in the middle of my mission…so I can’t really stop…”

“It’s okay, I’ll just go with you.” Elli smiled, folding her arms behind her back. “Besides, it would be better if Link had someone there to help her, right?”

Link thought for a moment, then nodded. “Yeah, I suppose you’re right about that one.” Link smiled, then a grim look took over her face. “But…wah! I can’t take someone so young into such danger!”

“I can handle myself, honest! I may not know that much about magic yet, but I do know a good amount, at least. Watch!” Elli turned and pulled out a small wand. It was nothing special, and looked more like a stick then anything, though it was obvious it had been very carefully sanded and carved to be formed the way it was.

Elli held the wand out and closed her eyes as she put a hand up to her face, holding it straight and intersecting with her face. “Alora ahora, mahoo chikara!” she shouted and a wave of energy seemed to shoot forward from her wand. Though it didn’t look very strong, it was certain that even a well-aimed, close-up shot from such an attack could be quite damaging.

“Interesting…so while you don’t know much, you know strong magic?”

Elli rubbed the back of her neck. “Not really…most of my attacks would be useless if it was just me…” She then made a fist and took a serious look. “But, if it’s both of us, then surely we can take out anything that comes our way.”

Link thought for a moment. “Do you know anything that would help if we got surrounded?”

Elli looked away. “Not really…most are pretty basic, straight forward attacks…”

Link sighed and rubbed the back of her head. “Well…I guess that means neither of us really has a way of attacking if we get surrounded… I was taught an attack once that I could use…but I don’t remember it now…”

“Well, then, that settles it, then. If you can’t defend against groups, then you’ll need help. So take me with you, and I can help out.”

“I don’t know…wouldn’t it be dangerous to take such a young child?”

“Wouldn’t it be dangerous to leave me alone?”

Link quickly pulled back, the look on her face showing that she knew Elli was right. “Y-yeah…that’s true, too…”

“It’s dangerous in either case, so I might as well go with you. It might be safer to journey with you then it would be to journey by myself.”

Link sighed and rubbed the back of her head again. “I guess that’s true…” She sighed. “Well, then, let’s go.” She pulled out her map and looked at it. “We need to make it to here.” She pointed to the small gold dot on her map that was near the right edge of Lake Hylia.

“Oh, that’s right up there.” Elli pointed forward. “In fact, this shoreline here is the lake.”

Link turned. “Ha? How did I not notice I was next to the Lake?”

“Caught up in fighting the Moblins too much, maybe?” Elli shrugged.

“I don’t know…but that frustrates me for sure…” Link spoke and sighed. “In either case, let’s go.” Link and Elli turned and made their way down the lakeside. The lakeside soon turned and they took a path along the lake which soon led to a long bridge, which seemed to lead to a giant statue. “Is this it?” Link asked as she stopped next to the statue.

“Yeap, that’s definitely the Underworld Entrance we’re looking for,” Elli responded, nodding.

“Then how do we get in?”

Elli thought for a moment. “I think I have an idea…” She pulled herself back and held her wand forward as she closed her eyes once more. “Alora ahora, darani hikigane!” As she finished the words, the ground began to shake and soon the statue began to rise. As it rose, a large cavern opening seemed to form with stairs leading downward. Link’s eyes went wide as she watched, and finally, when the ground stopped, Link stared down into the stairs to see if she could see what awaited within.

“Wh-what kind of spell was that?” Link asked after a moment.

“A ‘trigger spell’. It basically activates any nearby spells. I figured that, if this was an entrance, chances would be that Ganon would have a spell upon the entrance to open when he commanded. So, I tried to trigger it to see if it would work.”

“And…what if it hadn’t?”

“If it hadn’t worked? Probably nothing. If there had been another spell set up to trigger if this one was triggered wrong…who knows.” Elli gave a shrug. “In either case, the door is open, so we should go.”

Link nodded. “Got it…” She stepped forward, slowly entering into the dungeon entrance. When she got inside, she noticed it led to a rather large cavern. The cavern seemed to stretch out in every direction for several hundreds of feet, as they could not see the end in any direction but the way they came. “Now where do we go?”

“Jeez…asking a nine-year-old kid for help so much? Are you completely incapable?”

“You know…you don’t talk at all like a nine-year-old…” Link groaned.

“I’m just mature for my age is all…” Elli looked away and sighed. “Anyway…there’s two ways to find it…wander until we find the Triforce piece…or…” She held her wand out. “I don’t know if this will work but…” She closed her eyes. “Alora ahora, invenire Triforce!” she shouted. Her wand began to glow for a moment, then seemed to fizzle. “Aww…shoot…”

“What?” Link asked.

“I still haven’t gotten the location spell to work yet…” Elli growled and stuck her wand out again. “Try again!” she spoke up suddenly. “Alora ahora, invenire Triforce!” Once again, the spell fizzled, and she stared at the wand. “Come on! Why won’t it work?” Tears formed in her eyes now. “I’m totally useless!”

“Hey, hey, calm down,” Link quickly spoke and gripped Elli. “You’re not useless. Not everyone can do everything, you know? You’re still nine…you’ll get it eventually.”

“R-really?” Elli asked, looking up at Link, who nodded with a smile. She smiled back and made a fist, smiling as well. “All right…if Link says so…then I definitely can one day…”

“That’s the spirit. Now, let’s take a look around and see what we can find, okay?” Elli nodded in response, and Link quickly drew her sword, readying herself for combat. As the two began to wander the dungeon, it soon became clear that the task of obtaining the Triforce would not be easy, for they had barely wandered anywhere before they quickly became surrounded by several skeletal warriors.

“Uh oh, what are these guys?” Link asked as she quickly put her back to Elli and readied herself for battle.

“I believe they are Stalfos,” Elli responded. “I may be nine, but in my studies to be a mage, I’ve run across a few things…” She held her wand out. “Ready to fight?”

Link nodded. “Yeah, let’s do it.” She twirled the dagger in her hand for a moment, then quickly aimed forward as she launched a bolt of energy at one of the Stalfos. It reacted the same way the other monsters did, by freezing and vanishing once hit. “Why do the monsters just vanish like that?”

“Alora ahora, pikapika hikatteimasu ya!” Elli shouted and launched off several arrows of light straight forward, striking several of the Stalfos in front of her. “These creatures are all created by Ganon’s magic. When you kill them, instead of dying and leaving a corpse, they get reverted back into magic.”

“That makes sense.” Link quickly brought her dagger up to block an attack from a nearby Stalfos. She quickly swung her dagger around and brought it down on the Stalfos’ sword, knocking it out of the creature’s hand. It stared for a single moment before being zapped away by Link. “So all of these monsters are Ganon’s creations, then?”

“Most of them. Alora ahora, mahoo chikara!” Elli launched off a wave of energy which struck a couple more Stalfos, zapping them away as well.

“I notice all of your spells start with ‘alora ahora’,” Link spoke as she blocked an attack from a Stalfos, quickly spinning the dagger lightly and zapping away the Stalfos. “Why is that?”

“It’s a keyword specifically designed to me. It activates my magic powers, basically. Alora ahora, ni inazuma!” Elli’s wand then launched off two small bolts of lightning which struck the Stalfos, zapping them away.

One of the Stalfos reached into its breastplate and pulled out a small black orb. It laughed a little, then tossed the orb forward. “What in the world is that?” Link asked.

“A bomb! Move!” Elli quickly pushed Link, and the bomb flew passed them, exploding harmlessly in the air. The Stalfos pulled out yet another bomb and tossed it forward.

“Oh no you don’t,” Link spoke as she pulled her dagger to the side, as if she was holding a bat. “Take this!” With the flat side of her sword, she struck the bomb, knocking it back at the Stalfos. It screeched as the bomb flew directly at its face, exploding within an inch of the creature. The Stalfos then vanished and Link gave a sigh. “That was close…”

“Hey, look at that.” Elli pointed forward and Link turned. In the middle of the battlefield now laid a small bow. It was a rather crude looking weapon, appearing to be made out of bone.

“What’s that?”

“You’ve never seen a bow before?”

“Actually…no…” Link walked forward and picked it up, looking it over. “What’s it supposed to do?”

“You stick an arrow in it, then pull the string back. Then you let go, and the arrow flies where you aim at.”

Link blinked, then gripped the pull string. She closed her eyes as a memory came to her, and she took hold of the bowstring with two of her fingers. She then pulled it back and an arrow appeared from her hand, extending out to the other end of the bow. The arrow shined brightly, as if made of pure light, and Elli’s eyes went wide. “What the…”

Link held the bow up and pulled it up next to her. She seemed to take aim, but as she let the bowstring go, the arrow launched off completely differently then she had wanted it to. “Yah!” Elli shouted as she ducked, the arrow narrowly missing her head. “What the…watch where you’re shooting that!”

“S-sorry!” Link shouted back. “I don’t know how I did that…but I seem to be terrible at aiming…”

Elli sighed and stood to her feet, then walked over to Link. She snatched the bow from Link’s hand, then turned. “I’ll teach you once we’re out of here. For now, I’m holding onto it.” She then looked down at the bow and gently pulled on the string. However, as she did, she noticed that nothing happened, and no arrow had formed. “Could it be…her then?” she asked in a whisper as she turned back to Link. She sighed and shook her head. “Anyway…I won’t worry about that for now…” She stuffed the arrow into a small pouch, which was much too small to hold almost anything, yet the bow seemed to slide in perfectly find. “Come on, Link.”

Link quickly rushed to Elli’s side and quickly drew her dagger once more. The two quickly found themselves growing deeper and deeper into the dungeon, and as they got deeper, the monsters became more frequent. Time and time again Link and Elli had found themselves forced to do battle with some form of monster, but it all paid off when they saw what was ahead of them.

“Do you see that golden glow?” Link asked as she pointed forward.

“Yeah, that must be the Triforce shard,” Elli spoke.

“Let’s go, then! It’s not much farther away!”

“Hey! Don’t just go running in there!” Elli grumbled and sighed. “I’m the kid…and she’s the one acting carefree and immature…what’s up with that anyway?”

“Who dares disturb my lair?” a deep voice suddenly spoke out, and Link stopped in her tracks. Her eyes darted all around, and she quickly redrew her dagger once more, preparing to fight. “I will ask once more. Who dares disturb my lair?”

“M-my name is Link! I’m here for the Triforce shard!”

“Are you now?” There was a slight laugh. “Well, I’m afraid I’ll have to stop you. I have instructions to guard this Triforce piece from anyone who tries to claim it.”

Link growled. “Orders from Ganon?”

The voice laughed. “No, but whose orders they are do not concern you.” The ground shook as a large creature landed upon the ground. It looked somewhat like a dragon, having a dragon-like body and wings, but it’s head was more like that of a unicorn, being horse-like in style and having a long horn coming from its forehead. “I am an Aquamentas, and we will leave the names at that. Prepare, for you will not last long here.”

Link bit her lip and quickly readied herself. “I’ll stop you, that much is for sure.” She quickly aimed her dagger forward and zapped the Aquamentas, but the attack seemed to have almost no effect on the beast. “Wh-what the hell?”

Aquamentas laughed at this. “It’s not one of Ganon’s monsters,” Elli spoke as she held her wand forward. “You can’t just zap it away. Find its weakness, then kill it.”

“Eh? Then this is a real monster?”

“They’ve all been real!” Elli shouted loudly. She sighed. “But this one isn’t magical, so Zap Bolts won’t help you here.”

Link looked back and clenched her fists, nodding. “I see…”

Aquamentas laughed once more, then pulled itself back as it seemed to inhale. It then pushed itself forward, launching off fire from its mouth as it did. Link quickly jumped back, then aimed her dagger up at the Aquamentas once more. “You’re not going to stop me!” she shouted.

“Alora ahora, pikapika hikatteimasu ya!” Elli shouted and several small arrows of light shot forward from her wand. They struck Aquamentas, who simply growled at the attack. It then stomped forward, looking directly at Elli.

“You are an annoyance!” the beast shouted and pulled its head down. Suddenly, Link’s dagger flew through the air, slicing off part of the beast’s horn. As it did, the beast roared in pain and reared itself back onto two legs.

“That’s it! The horn!” Elli shouted. “Alora ahora, pikapika hikatteimasu ya!” she shouted as she pointed her wand directly at the beast’s horn. The arrows shot from the wand and aimed themselves directly at the horn of the monster, and upon contact, the beast roared louder. The horn then shattered from the monster’s forehead, and its eyes went wide.

It was as if everything had frozen for a single moment, as none made a single move. Finally, Aquamentas fell forward, crashing upon the ground before them. Link quickly turned and gagged as Elli simply stared at the beast as blood seemed to poor from its forehead. “I think we killed it.”

“How can you say that so casually?” Link shouted, turning to Elli. “And how can you stand to look at…at…”

“All that blood?” Elli asked as she turned to look at Link.

The thought made Link want to throw up, and she quickly turned away from Elli. “Y-yes…” She clenched her stomach, groaning.

“I’ve seen bloodshed before…quite a lot of it, really… It’s nothing to me now…” Elli turned back and looked at the fallen beast, then sighed and closed her eyes.

Link turned to look at Elli once more, then turned towards the Aquamentas they had defeated. She felt terrible and sickly just looking at it, but the more she looked, the less horrible it seemed to become. However, there was a point where her body had just had enough, and she turned quickly to let herself throw up. “We should go get the Triforce,” Elli spoke after a few moments of silence and Link nodded. She turned back to the direction the Aquamentas was in, but quickly turned her gaze away, carefully walking forward.

Elli followed close behind her, and the two soon found themselves standing before a small, triangular-like piece of something made of pure gold. Link quickly scooped it up off the ground, then stared at it. She noticed it was very roughly shaped, and she guessed that was due to the fact the Triforce had been broken. “So, then, this is a shard of the Triforce of Wisdom?”

Elli shrugged. “I guess so?” Suddenly, the piece began to shine brightly, and before Link knew it, both her and Elli had been taken up in a blaze of light.

* * *

“What?” Ganon shouted in a high pitched voice. “Aquamentas was destroyed by those brats?” He growled deeply. There was a screen of sorts before him, and he had watched the entire battle from there.

“Yes!” Zelda shouted as she pulled upon her chains. She was currently shackled to a large rock wall. “Not feeling so confident, are you, Ganon?”

“Why, my dear, Princess Zelda, why would one simple loss cause me to lose confidence? Just one little defeat like that…against a weakling like Aquamentas…no…I have no doubt that Link will fall, and that the Triforce of Wisdom will be mine!”

“Hey, pig face,” another female voice spoke, “don’t forget, you still don’t even know where there other pieces are.”

“Oh…I don’t now do I?” Ganon smirked evilly. “And tell me, my dear Tamuril, why did you call me such an infernal name like that?”

“Because, even if I’m working for you, it doesn’t mean I like you…” Tamuril turned to look away from Ganon, folding her arms over her chest.

“Then why do you work for me?”

“Simple, you pay me, I do the work for you.” Tamuril shrugged. “Of course, if you stopped paying me…that’s when I’d turn against you…which reminds me…” Tamuril smirked as she turned back to Ganon. “Where’s my two hundred rupees for today?”

“Two hundred rupees?” Ganon shouted. “You haven’t even done any work!”

“I killed the farm girl’s home, didn’t I?”

“But you screwed it all up! You left her alive!”

“I told you, I thought she was dead. In either case, you pay me to get a job done, and I do it. You told me ‘Burn down the farmhouse, and make sure the monsters kill people’ so I did. So there was one left alive, it doesn’t matter. I did my job, and I won’t do anything else until you pay me either.”

Ganon growled. “Mercenaries…” he spoke in a deep voice and snapped his fingers. A small pouch of rupees appeared, and Ganon handed them to Tamuril. “Paid in full!”

Tamuril smirked. “Thank you.” She turned and pocketed the pouch. “Now, then, we can strike up another deal…when do you want me to kill this Link girl?”

“Not yet…but soon…if she survives up until she gets the Triforce of Wisdom completed…then I’ll definitely have you kill her…”

“Then here’s the deal…I either kill her now for a thousand rupees, five hundred in advance of course…or you pay me fifty rupees an hour until she gets to where you want her dead. Then you pay me a thousand rupees to kill her. Once again, five hundred in advance.”

“A…a thousand…rupees?” Ganon shouted. “It didn’t cost that much for the farmhouse!”

Tamuril seemed to chuckle as she smirked evilly. “That’s because it was a poor farmhouse…if this is really the Chosen One…then I’ll need you to pay a little more for it…”

Ganon roared loudly in a high-pitched voice. “Out! Out! Out!” he shouted as he launched off bolts of lightning at Tamuril. She dodged each one then laughed.

“I’ll be back, Ganny, and when I come back, you better be willing to pay.” With those words, Tamuril seemed to fade into the darkness, and with that, she was gone, leaving a very irate Ganon, and a rather happy Zelda, though it was really only to see Ganon so irate.

Chapter 4!

Chapter 4: King of the Desert

"Argh!" Elli shouted as she grabbed her hair, pulling on it. "Seriously, Link, this isn't as hard as you're making it!"

"But I'm doing exactly what you told me to do!" Link spoke, waving her hands. In her left hand was her bow, which she had been trying to learn to use.

Elli sighed and put her hand to her chin. "But your doing it all wrong…grab an arrow, aim at your target, pull back the string, and let it go. There's nothing more to learn then that, yet you've missed every shot!"

"I'm trying, okay?"

Elli sighed. "Speaking of arrows…why haven't you just used the light arrow thing?"

"I…" Link looked away. "I don't know how I did it last time…"

Elli closed her eyes. Was it possible that the light arrow magic had been in the bow, and Link had used it up already? It was certainly possible, but was that the reason she couldn't use it? Or was there something else…something much more? She shook her head to get rid of the thoughts and side as she looked up. "We're not going to make it through the desert if you can't even use a bow…"

"Why? What's in the desert that I'll need a bow for?"

"Who knows?" Elli shrugged. "Chances are, though, you'll need it at some point. Best to know how to use it now then have to learn quickly while pressured to because you need to."

"Very true…" Link sighed. "All right, let's try again…" Link grabbed an arrow from the quiver on her back. She pulled the bowstring back and brought the arrow up to aim.

"Remember, look down the arrow. Imagine yourself as the arrow, and imagine yourself flying straight at your target."

"Imagine…" Link stepped and tripped, falling back. Her fall caused her to release the arrow, which went flying high into the air. It slowed, then spun around and began to descend, landing only an inch from Elli's foot.

"Link!" Elli shouted in anger.

"Sorry, I slipped!"

"Honestly, you're never going to get this, are you?" Elli began to hit Link on the head and she quickly covered her head.

Suddenly, Link and Elli heard a strange laughing noise. As they turned, they saw Tamuril standing there, a smirk on her face. Quickly, Link drew her dagger, readying herself for battle. "Oh my, calm down, young one, I'm not here to hurt you," she spoke.

"Yeah right," Link spoke, gripping her dagger tight.

"You don't believe me?"

"Of course not, you killed my family and burned my farm down. You're probably back to finish the job."

Tamuril laughed. "On the contrary, Link, had I wanted you dead I would have killed you." She turned, her eyes glancing around. "You and I need to talk…privately…" She waved her hand, though it seemed to do nothing. "Ganon is always watching you, young one. He wants you dead."

"I kind of figured that, he is Ganon after all."

Tamuril smirked. "Oh, but you don't get it, do you? You see, Ganon knows where the Triforce of Wisdom pieces are. He's very clever that way. What he wants is for you to collect all eight of them for him. Then, he'll kill you."

"Wait…so he wants me dead…but not yet?"

Tamuril nodded. "He's sent only weaklings after you to test your skills. As you crawl through each of his underworld dungeons, he sends his weak little minions after you. Ganon has much stronger units in his grasp. The Moblins are just a start, you see. He can go as far as to make unstoppable forces of undead."

"Then why doesn't he just take the Triforce pieces himself?"

Tamuril shrugged. "I'd like to know the same thing. This Ganon…he doesn't seem as smart as the others were…"

"Others?"

"Throughout history there have been multiple wizards who call themselves 'Ganon' or better yet 'Ganondorf' if they go by their real name. This one, however, is different. He did not hold the Triforce of Power, he stole it. His magic is strong, but not as strong as the other Ganons in history. On top of that, the other Ganons are usually much smarter. This one seems to be no smarter then a pig."

"Then what does that mean?"

"I do not believe this is the real Ganon. I have my suspicions…I believe this Ganon may simply be nothing more then a Moblin mage who has tried to claim the throne of the once proud Ganon. You see, the Triforces have been with the Royal Family since the end of the last Link's great adventure."

"And which adventure was that?"

"Why, the one where she brought together the timelines, of course. When she and the Oracles of Seasons, Ages, and Secrets joined their powers, they brought the two Hyrule timelines together into one world. They then stopped the evil Twinrova from resurrecting their lord Ganon, and it has been three hundred years since the last Hero of Time or Ganon appeared."

"I see…and you're telling all of this to me…why?"

"Because, Ganon will be expecting you to fall for his trap when you enter Spectacle Rock. Remember this statement, 'things are not always as they seem'." Tamuril smirked once more and kicked her feet back. This launched her into the air and she waved. "Farewell, Chosen One!"

"Wait! What the hell is all of that supposed to mean?" Link shouted, but Tamuril had vanished from sight. She growled. "That conversation made no sense at all!" Link turned to look at Elli, who had been silent the whole time. A look of fear was on her face now. "Elli?"

"Huh?" Elli looked up at Link. Her expression did not change.

"Is something wrong?"

"N-no! I mean…I was afraid…but…I'm okay now." Elli beat her chest and smiled, trying to push away the fear inside of her.

"Well, if you're sure."

"Yeah, of course I'm sure! Let's get going to the desert now!"

"But what about bow practice?"

"Uh…we'll work on that later! Dungeon number two awaits us! Let's go go go!"

"You're…acting strange, Elli."

"Me? Acting strange? Of course not! Why would I be acting strange?" Elli rubbed the back of her neck and gave a nervous laugh.

"Well…if you're sure…but I still think you're acting strange…"

"Dungeon! Now!" Elli shouted to change the subject.

"All right! I'm going! Sheesh!"

* * *

"So, she's managed to make it this far, has she?" Ganon asked in a deep voice as he stared at a screen in front of him. He was watching Elli and Link track through the desert.

"Looks like she'll be here and kicking your butt sooner then you expected!" Zelda shouted as she pulled on her chains.

"Silence!" Ganon waved his hands and a cloth appeared inside her mouth which then wrapped around her head. "Better." Ganon smirked rather evilly. "Zelda, things are not always as they seem. You see, even as Link makes her wondrous trek through the desert, my minions are ever watchful of her. I have minions in place that Link will never expect, and when she has the full Triforce of Wisdom, she will fall in an instant!"

"Oh? And just exactly what minions are those, Ganon?"

Ganon turned away. "That's for you to figure out, and for me to know. You're the Keeper of Knowledge, shouldn't you be able to see what I mean?"

Zelda growled and stared forward at the screen. She honestly couldn't tell what Ganon meant by that. Perhaps it was something the Triforce of Wisdom would have been able to tell her if she had still had it? But if she still had it, Ganon would have taken it, and she would have lost everything by now.

"Carock!" Ganon shouted rather loudly. A moment later, wind blew through the room, which then swirled in front of Ganon and formed into a tall man covered by a large red robe that covered him from the neck to his feet. His skin tone was rather dark and his hair ended at the middle of his back and was dark purple in color. In his hands was a large staff that was as tall as he was and was gnarled and jet black. It was so dark that it seems to absorb all the light around it. It rapped against the stone floor with a hard clink as if it had been made of steel. At the head of the staff there, attached with strands of rotting dragon heartstring, was the skull of a slain dragon, jaw open, several teeth missing, and bits of scale and flesh still hanging off of it. Its jaw was clamped down on a smooth spherical blood red gem which gave off a very soft red glow.

"You called?" the man asked as he bowed.

"Report, Carock. How is the plan going?"

"Perfectly, sir. The bombs have been placed."

"Then Link's victory is ensured?"

"Yes."

"You want Link to win?" Zelda asked.

"But of course, my dear, Zelda," Ganon spoke as he turned, a smirk on his face. "Why wouldn't I? If she dies, then I'll have to actually go after the Triforce of Wisdom myself."

"And you don't know where the rest is, do you?"

"On the contrary, I could easily claim the rest in a matter of moments, but it's much more interesting to watch your precious hero struggle to survive while trying to claim the Triforce."

"You're a sick bastard!" Zelda spit and Ganon growled.

Ganon's hand quickly gripped around Zelda's neck and he held her up. She gripped his hand, trying to pull herself free as he slowly choked her. "Want to try that again, Princess?"

"You can't kill me."

"Oh, I could, but you serve a greater purpose alive." Ganon dropped Zelda to the ground and she coughed to get her breath back.

Ganon turned back to his screen. "Now, Link, it's time. I've given you all you need to win, but will you?"

* * *

"What's this?" Link asked as she grabbed a bag off of the ground. It had been left there, just sitting on the ground, with no monsters around it.

"Open it up and see," Elli spoke.

Link gripped the tie and quickly pulled it. She tossed it away quickly, expecting a monster to jump out of it, but nothing happened. "What the hell?" She picked the bag up and opened it carefully. Inside, she found several small blue orbs. As she pulled one out, she noticed there was a small fuse that led to a small mechanism. "What is this?"

"It's a bomb."

"A bomb?"

Elli nodded. "That thing at the edge allows you to simply strike your fingers on it and the fuse will light. Then you throw it and it blows things up."

"But why would there be a bag of bombs just lying on the ground?"

Elli shrugged. "I don't know."

"It seems…convenient is all…"

"Let's move on. We're still only about halfway through this dungeon. We need to get to the end and fight whatever creature is guarding the Triforce. We'll worry about the bombs when we get out of here."

"Yeah, I suppose you're right." Link attached the bag to her belt then turned. She and Elli then passed through a large archway to find the room filled with snake-like creatures known as Snakeropes. Quickly, Link pulled her sword out and began to shoot Zap Bolts forward, taking each one out with one hit. The two then walked deeper into the dungeon.

"Link! Over here!" Elli shouted. Link turned to notice Elli had rushed to an archway not too far from them. She quickly rushed forward, stopping at the archway. "Check it out."

Link stepped into the archway, noticing it led to a large room. It was different from the rest of the dungeon, almost like it had been carved out by someone other then Ganon. In the center lied two large torches. In between the torches stood a man dressed in a long red robe that covered him from the neck down. He had a long white beard and was bald. His arms were chained to the torches, and his legs chained to rocks on the ground. He looked badly beaten. "Are you okay, sir?" Link asked and rushed to his side.

"Are…are you the Hero of Time?" the man asked as he looked up at Link.

"Yes. Are you okay?"

The man shook his head. "There's no time left for me. Listen to my words and do exactly as I say, do you understand?"

"I have to save you."

"No, Hero of Time, there's nothing you can do." The man roared in pain as if by some unseen force.

"What's wrong?"

"Ganon…I hid the Triforce here…but I wouldn't tell him where…so he put me here…If you try to free me, I'll be dead. You must listen to my words and do exactly as I say, understand?"

Link bit her lip and nodded. "What can I do?"

"The creature guarding the Triforce is called a Dodongo. His skin is impenetrable. There's nothing you can do to harm it from the outside."

"Then what do I do?"

"You have to attack it from the inside, but if you get eaten, you'll be dead in an instant. Somewhere in this dungeon…I dropped my bomb bag…find it and take the bombs inside, and throw one into the Dodongo's mouth. That will kill it."

Link nodded. "Understood. I don't want to leave you here…"

"But you must. There is no other choice."

"Understood…" Link turned. "Elli, let's go."

"What did he say?" Elli asked.

"These bombs will kill the Triforce Guardian."

Elli nodded. "Then let's go." The two rushed deeper into the dungeon and it didn't take long before they found themselves in a large, empty room. On the other side of the room, Link could see the Triforce shard glowing. "Where the Guardian?"

"Did Ganon kill it already?"

"Doubtful, the Triforce is still there."

"Then…that means…" Link stepped forward and Link heard a low growl. She gripped her sword tight and whirled around. When she did, a large claw seemed to come from the wall. A moment later, and Link realized where the Guardian was. Its scales on its body had made it blend in perfectly with the wall, making it impossible to see it at first. "That must be Dodongo…"

The creature was a monstrous dinosaur-like creature. It crawled on all fours, and was at least ten feet tall, if not larger. A long tail was on its back, and spikes went from its tail to its head, forming two long horns. It roared loudly and Link stepped back a little. "Oh boy…" Link gripped her sword tight and rushed forward. She struck the Dodongo hard on the head and in an instant the sword shattered to pieces.

"Link!" Elli shouted. Link quickly jumped to the side as the Dodongo breathed in, then breathed a huge blast of fire forward. "Don't you remember what that old man said?"

"Right!" Link shouted and pulled a bomb out of the bag at her side. "Hey, I've got a present for you!" Dodongo turned and Link struck the mechanism on the top of the bomb. She then tossed the bomb forward and the Dodongo quickly opened its mouth, catching the bomb in its mouth and swallowing it in an instant. It roared loudly and Link stepped back. "I thought that was supposed to kill it!"

Suddenly, the Dodongo shut its mouth and it gave a look of extreme pain. After a moment, fire launched from its mouth as it roared in pain. It closed its mouth again after a moment, as if trying to hold in the explosion in its stomach. After a moment, the scales on the creatures body began to crack and after a moment more, the creature exploded into bits of magic.

"Did I get it?" Link asked as she stared forward at the smoke and magic. When the smoke cleared, she saw nothing remained of the Dodongo. She gave a sigh of relief and plopped to her knees. "Thank the Goddesses."

"You did it!" Elli shouted and hugged Link.

"Thanks…but my sword is toast…What am I going to do now?"

"The Underworld Dungeon is in the Lost Woods, right?"

"Yeah, why?"

"It's said there is a sword there in the Lost Woods. If you can learn to use that bow, we should be able to survive long enough to get that sword. After that, we'll be fine."

"A sword in the woods? That sounds…too convenient."

Elli shrugged. "Convenient has worked for us so far, though, hasn't it? Maybe it's fate's way of helping you defeat Ganon."

"Maybe…" Link looked down at the bomb bag on her belt. "Well…let's go get the Triforce and get out of here." Elli nodded and the two made their way into the Triforce chamber, where Link took hold of the Triforce piece there. It shined brightly and formed together with the other piece Link held. The pieces then began to glow brightly, and Link and Elli were taken up once more and returned to the entrance of the dungeon. They were then off, heading towards the Lost Woods to find Link's new sword, as well as the third piece of the Triforce of Wisdom.

Chapter 5: Manhandla of the Woods

"Don't tell me…" Elli spoke and sighed as she stared at the tree in front of her. It was marked with three arrows in a line down its massive trunk.

"Yeah…we're lost…" Link spoke and groaned. "That's the same tree…"

Elli groaned and plopped down. "Now what do we do?"

"We'll think of something…" Link looked around, examining the woods around them. "Man…when they called it the Lost Woods, they gave it an appropriate name, that's for sure."

"No duh…why else do you think it would be called the Lost Woods?"

Link shrugged. "Well, I certainly wasn't expecting it to be because you could literally get lost in them…"

Elli rolled her eyes. "Oy…" She sighed and shook her head. "We're stuck in the Lost Woods, and we can't go forward cause we're lost, and we can't go back cause we have no idea which way back is…"

"What about your locater spell? Could it work?"

"It didn't when we were looking for the Triforce, why would it now?"

"Just give it a try."

Elli shrugged and stood to her feet. "Worth a shot I suppose." She stood to her feet and pulled out her wand. She held it forward and closed her eyes. "Alora ahora, menga indea ya dukku ani ijala qui White Sword." She then waved the wand forward. At first, the edge of the wand began to glow a little. After a moment, a small orb of light rose off of the edge, floating into the air and swirling around Elli for a moment. It then shot forward, shooting deep into the woods. "Follow it!" Elli shouted and the two rushed forward.

The light flew forward, zigzagging and twirling as it made its way deeper into the woods. After a few minutes, the light finally came to a stop before a rather large lake. It then fizzled out and Elli and Link stopped when they reached the lake. "Where is this?" Link asked.

"Check the map…" Elli spoke and Link pulled out her map. She looked at it for a moment, locating the Lost Woods on the map.

"The Lost Woods are here…which means we must be somewhere…" Link looked over the map a little more, then pointed to a small body of water on the map just north of the Lost Woods. "This must be where we are."

"'Lake of the Fairy Queen'?" Elli read. "I don't see a Fairy Queen," she remarked as she looked out, noticing nothing but an empty lake.

"It's because I can only be seen by those I wish to see me," a female voice suddenly spoke up which startled Elli.

"Whose there?" Link spoke out.

"I am Manna, Queen of the Ukiyo fairies. Why have you trespassed into this sacred lake?"

"We are seeking the White Sword."

"And why would you want that?"

"I lost my sword…it was shattered to pieces upon a Dodongo. So, I'm hoping to get the White Sword to replace it."

"I see…and…what is your name, girl?"

"I am Link Marian Ysond, and this is my companion, Elizabeth Marie Elenoi."

"Call me Elli…I hate being called Elizabeth," Elli spoke as she folded her arms across her chest.

"Link Marian Ysond…you carry the name of the Hero of Time…" the voice spoke. "Have you been visited by the last Hero?"

"Well…this strange woman did appear in front of me and call me the Hero of Time…" Link spoke. "She seemed kind of like a ghost…and she stabbed me with her sword…"

"Then you have been visited by the previous Hero." Suddenly, the lake began to glow, and a bright light shot up from the water. Inside the light, a woman began to rise up from beneath the lake. At first, Link could barely make her out, but as she rose more, the light grew dimmer and Link could make out her silvery-blonde hair which ended about the middle of her back while some came out and covered some of the front of her face. A moment more and Link could see a silver crown upon her head with several sapphires all over it. Her outfit consisted of a simple, baby blue, strapless dress that was fairly low on her well endowed bust, while it also ended fairly high on her body, almost risking being indecent. Link then noticed a pair of baby blue shoes upon her feet, along with four, nearly transparent wings upon her back.

"I apologize for keeping myself hidden, Hero," the woman spoke as she opened her eyes, revealing a pair of silver eyes. She stepped forward, walking upon the top of the water until she reached the land. She then knelt before Link whose eyes went wide with shock. "As I stated before, I am Manna, Queen of the Ukiyo fairies. Many years ago, the Goddesses of Hyrule placed my tribe as the guardians of the White Sword."

"Why does a sword need a guardian?" Link asked.

"The White Sword…it is no ordinary blade. A long time ago, a man named Ganondorf ravaged the land with his evil. He used two special swords to do so. One was known as the Black Sword while the other was known as the White Sword. The two were a powerful pair, but only when one knew how to wield them both. They were weapons forged of the ancient metal, Mithril, which made them indestructible. Only two other swords have been forged with Mithril. They are the Picori Blade and the Master Sword."

"The Picori Blade and the Master Sword?"

Manna nodded. "The Picori Blade, also known as the Four Sword, is an ancient sword. Its wielder is said to split into four beings. It was used against the Wind Mage, Vaati, and used to seal him away until his final destruction at the hands of the Hero of Time a hundred years ago. The Master Sword is also known as the Evil Slaying Sword. No evil can touch it, and it is said to be able to destroy any evil thing it touches. However, it was lost to time after Ganon's last defeat a hundred years ago as well."

"Wow…so neither of those swords can help us now?"

Manna shook her head. "Unfortunately not. Now all that remains are the Black Sword and the White Sword. I was left to guard the White Sword and instructed to give it to the Hero of Time when she next appeared. The Black Sword however…I believe Ganon has it."

"I see…"

"Know, however, that wielding the White Sword is unlike any normal sword. With its power you will be able to cut through many things you could not before. Its magic power will also aid you in destroying your enemies quicker."

"Sounds fine to me. Where can I get the White Sword?"

Manna rose her hand forward and an orb of light appeared in her hand. The orb then extended out, forming into a long katana. The katana had a white sheath and hilt with a blue wrapping around the hilt. "As I said before, this is unlike any sword you have ever laid your hands on. If you can master using it, then it is yours."

"How hard can it be to use a sword?"

"See for yourself." Manna held the sword forward and Link gripped the hilt. She drew the sword from the sheath, and the blade seem to sing. She lifted the sword into the air and the light from the sun seemed to split upon the blade, shining in all directions. Link swung the sword quickly, and at first, she noticed no difference between it and her last sword. However, it didn't take long before she felt like the sword itself had suddenly grown ten times heavier. After only a moment more, she found she couldn't even lift the blade anymore.

"What…the hell?" Link asked as she panted for breath. She had gotten warn out trying to swing it around.

"As I said, the White Sword is a special blade," Manna spoke. "Its wielder must hold a certain quality to use it."

"And that is?"

Manna shook her head. "Not something I can explain. It is something you must discover for yourself."

"Discover for myself…" Link closed her eyes and lifted the sword once again and Elli watched as Link struggled with the sword. It seemed strong, but the longer Link held onto it, the duller and heavier the sword seemed to get.

* * *

"And we're here…why?" Tamuril asked as she stared down at Manna, Link, and Elli. She was standing high above them, seemingly on nothing.

"Master Ganon wishes us to unleash the trap to get them into the dungeon," Carock spoke as he also seemed to stand upon the thin air below them.

Tamuril sighed and groaned. "Honestly…why doesn't he just kill her and claim the Triforce himself? Is he afraid he won't be able to beat all of Zelda's guardians? Cause, you know, if he is, and Link can beat them, Ganon doesn't stand a chance."

"Ganon has his reasons, that is all we need to know or care about."

"Still…Ganon just lets Link walk in here and take the White Sword? Is that even smart? With the power that sword has-"

"Enough!" Carock shouted and rose his hand. "Link cannot complete her task without this power."

"But it's the fuckin' White Sword! What if she figures out how to use it? Does Ganon know how to use the Black Sword's power? For that matter, does he even have the Black Sword? I've never even seen that overgrown pig with any form of weapon in his hands."

"Master Ganon knows what he is doing."

Tamuril shrugged. "Fine, but if he gets himself killed, don't blame me."

"Let's just initiate the trap."

"Fine, whatever…" Tamuril grumbled. "I'm not getting paid enough for this kind of work…" She held her hand forward and at once five small knives specifically designed to be placed between her fingers appeared in her hand. She quickly stuck the daggers in their place between her fingers then tossed them straight down. Three completely missed Link, Elli, or Manna, while the fourth dug deep into Elli's shoulder and the last struck Manna directly in the back.

"Elli! Manna!" Link shouted, then looked up. She now noticed Tamuril and Carock above them.

"For Ganon!" Carock shouted and aimed his staff down. "Vel leian jonel, ani aise indea ali ubela ke manji dea ka unene hengu kelle ali waj ke dei xami ke jonel." A large black orb began to form at the edge of Carock's staff.

"Link! Watch out!" Elli shouted and quickly pushed Link out of the way. Carock laughed as the orb shot forward from his staff. Quickly, Manna jumped in front of both Elli and Link, extending her arms out. "Manna!" Elli shouted as the orb struck Manna. Link and Elli could hear Manna screaming in pain from the attack, and a moment later, her screams went silent as the darkness engulfed her body then exploded, forcing Link and Elli back. Smoke rose from the destruction, and once the smoke cleared, they saw that nothing remained of Manna. "Manna, no!"

Link growled. "You bastard!" she shouted and held her sword up. "You'll pay for what you just did!" The sword began to glow and Tamuril smirked. Link roared and whirled the sword around in her hand for a moment, then slammed her sword against the ground. When she did, a huge orb of energy appeared from the sword, which she then thrust into the air at Carock. Quickly, Carock brought his staff forward, unleashing a huge shield to block the attack. Once the attack cleared away, Carock noticed that Link and Elli had vanished.

"So, she has unleashed the power of the White Sword," Tamuril spoke, then laughed.

"But will she know what she did to release such a power?" Carock asked as he turned to Tamuril. "Come, we must make sure Link has rushed off to the third dungeon. If so, then we shall unleash the Darknut to test her."

"And if she fails?"

"Don't worry, Ganon has a plan for that."

* * *

"What the hell did you do, Link?" Elli asked as she panted for breath. The two had quickly rushed off after Link had unleashed the huge attack and they had rushed into the nearest underworld entrance in a hope to find safety.

"I don't know…" Link spoke as she panted as well. "I just felt the power come to me, and suddenly I knew what to do to unleash it…but I don't remember it at all now."

Elli sighed. "Damn, cause that could have been a useful skill."

Link nodded. "Yeah." She looked down at the sword in her hand. "Know something strange? It's almost like the sword's gotten lighter now…"

"Maybe it's accepted you as its wielder?"

"How does an inanimate object that's not even alive decide who can wield it?"

"Magic. Mithril was a rather strange metal. No one is sure what qualities it held, or how it made such powerful weapons. People only know that they could make strong weapons out of it…and people even tried to synthesize their own Mithril but failed."

"Only real Mithril has the power of Mithril, I suppose."

"Something like that, yeah." Elli nodded, then turned. "Well, we're here. I suppose we should search for the Triforce Shard in here, huh?"

"You sure this was one of the Underworld entrances that had one? After all, we did just randomly run in here."

Elli nodded. "Positive."

"Well, if you're sure, then let's see what's in here." Link looked around at the large room she had found herself in. At first it seemed like an empty old room built into a large cavern, but soon Link noticed they were not alone. She heard the sound of oozing slime and she quickly gripped the White Sword tight.

"What is that noise?" Elli asked.

"I'm not sure," Link spoke and stared out at the other end of the room. A moment later she saw it; slime was slowly oozing across the floor, making its way towards them. "What kind of a trap is this?" Suddenly, the slime gave a roar as it pulled together to form a single mound of slime. It rose up several feet, then roared again. "Living slime!"

"Chuchu!" Elli shouted. "Run!" The slime fell forward and Link pushed Elli aside, then jumped to the left. The slime crashed between them and Link growled. "Over there!" Elli shouted and pointed at an archway not too far off. "Run over there!" She quickly stood to her feet and rushed towards the archway. Link did the same and the slime pulled itself up once more.

"How will running through an archway help us survive?"

"I don't know, it's just the first thing that came to mind!"

"Well, let's hope you're right!" Link and Elli jumped forward through the archway as the slime came crashing down behind them. Just as they made it through, a massive steel door dropped down, blocking the way out, but also blocking the way in. Link immediately grabbed the door and tried to pull it up, but it was to no avail. "It's no use…it won't open again…"

"Don't worry about it, if the Chuchu can't get in here, then we're fine. When we find the Triforce it will get us out of here, just like it has every time before."

Link nodded. "Right, then let's look for it." The two began walking deeper into the dungeon. They noticed the dungeon seemed rather empty, which unnerved Link to a degree. "Shouldn't there be monsters around here?"

"There should be…" Elli spoke as she looked around. "But I don't see anything…how strange…"

Link gripped her sword tight. "It must be an ambush or something. Let's keep our eyes peeled."

"Right." Link and Elli slowly walked deeper into the dungeon, their eyes darting left and right with each step they took. They moved cautiously, unsure of what awaited them within.

"Halt!" a voice shouted and Link quickly held up her sword, readying herself for battle. There was a loud noise, like the sound of metal clashing upon the solid ground. The sound was heard again and again, almost like footsteps of some massive warrior in armor. It was only a moment more before Link saw the source of the sound come into view.

The creature was massive, at least eight feet tall if not more. It was dressed in black armor that covered it from head-to-toe. In it's right hand was a massive shield that looked much too heavy to wield, yet it seemed the creature had no trouble wielding it. The creature also held a massive, serrated, two-handed sword in its left hand. "Umm…Elli, what the hell is that thing?" Link asked.

"Darknut!" Elli shouted. "It's one of the most powerful troops in Ganon's army. In fact, it probably is the most powerful of Ganon's army."

"You will not pass to gain the Triforce!" the Darknut shouted and brought its massive sword down. Link quickly jumped back, just barely avoiding being struck by the sword.

"Is this thing that Triforce Guardian, then?" Link asked.

"How the hell should I know?" Elli shouted. "We'll only know once we kill it!"

"Then kill it we will!" Link rushed forward, gripping her sword tight. The Darknut pulled its sword back, then brought it down and Link quickly jumped to the right, barely avoiding the attack. She then quickly pulled herself into a roll and rolled behind the Darknut. She then jumped up, swirling her sword up as she did, but the attack seemed to barely do anything aside from chipping off a few small chunks of armor.

The Darknut quickly whirled around, seemingly unharmed from the attack, and brought its sword around to strike Link. She quickly held up her shield, but the blow was too strong and it shattered her shield, sending her flying across the room. "God damn it…" Link spoke as she rubbed her head. "That hurt…"

"You will die!" the Darknut shouted and began to stomp forward. Once it got close, it pulled its shield up, readying itself for any attack that might come. Link quickly rushed forward, but as her sword swung, it seemed to grow infinitely heavier, and Link felt herself letting go of the sword. The Darknut quickly brought its sword around and struck Link in the stomach with the hilt of the blade, which caused her to vomit rather suddenly, then collapse to her knees.

"D…damn it…" Link spoke, holding her stomach.

"Now die!" The Darknut rose its sword up into the air.

"Alora ahora, ani aise indea ali ubela ke manji dea ka unene hengu kelle ali waj ke dei xami ke jonel!" Elli shouted and held her wand forward. A large black orb appeared at the edge of her wand and the Darknut slowly turned. The orb shot forward and the Darknut pulled its shield up to block, but the orb went straight through the shield, shattering it. The orb then continued and struck the Darknut in the chest and it roared loudly. Dark energy surged all around it for a moment before the armor of the beast fell to the ground, leaving nothing underneath.

Elli fell to her knees and gasped for air. The attack had drained a lot of her power. "Elli!" Link shouted, but she was unable to move from the pain that still circulated through her body. The two remained there, on their knees, for several minutes until they had the power to move once again.

"You okay?" Elli asked as she stepped over to Link.

"Yeah…that blow just really hurt is all…" Link spoke, smiling as she pushed herself to her feet.

"What happened? I saw you dropped your sword."

"It got so heavy…I don't know what happened… I just suddenly couldn't hold onto it anymore."

"Well, magic doesn't just let anyone wield it, you have to have a certain level of skill and determination."

"I know…and apparently I lost that at the time…"

Elli shrugged. "Magic works in mysterious ways. I wonder, though…if that sword was one of Ganon's swords…how are you supposed to wield it without circuming to the darkness?"

"I don't know…"

"Well, anyway, we managed to kill the Darknut, so let's get the Triforce piece he was guarding."

"If that even was the Triforce Guardian."

"What do you mean?" Link asked.

"Why would Ganon have one of his own men down here guarding the Triforce piece? All of the other guardians have been creatures placed here by Princess Zelda to guard the Triforce, or so I'm willing to bet with the fact that none of them have been working for Ganon. If Ganon knew where the Triforce pieces were, he'd probably take them himself, not guard them."

"Good point…but how do we know that the Darknut was working for Ganon?"

"Simple, all Darknuts always work for Ganon. Without the Triforce of Power's power, Darknuts are nothing."

"Then there's still a guardian in this place…let's keep searching then."

Elli nodded and Link picked the White Sword off of the ground. It seemed oddly light once more, as if the sword was once again letting her wield it. The two of them then headed off, searching deeper into the dungeon. As they made their way further, Link became more and more troubled about the fact there seemed to be no more monsters once again.

"You'd think we would have found something else by now…" Link spoke as she looked around the room they were in.

"It does worry me…" Elli spoke. "Although, Ganon does think highly of his Darknuts, he could think that one is strong enough to take out any enemy that would come here."

"Yeah…but what if this is some kind of huge Darknut base? What if there's like…fifty more of them in here?"

"I think we'll be fine, Link."

"What makes you so sure?"

"That." Elli pointed off to the right and Link turned. Her eyes caught onto the sight of a huge archway not too far away and beyond the archway was a golden glow.

"The Triforce shard!" Link spoke.

"Yes, let's go after it, quick," Elli spoke and Link nodded. The two quickly rushed forward, but they stopped when they heard a strange hissing noise. Then there was the sound of something moving in the darkness, followed by the sound of something biting the air around it, as if readying itself to fight. Link and Elli quickly jumped back to back and began to look all around them.

"Shikeru!" Elli shouted and waved her wand up. There was a flash of light and Link caught view of a large plant in front of her.

"Can you keep that light up?" Link asked.

"Yeah. Bainga Shikeru!" Elli's wand set off a burst of light and Link quickly grabbed Elli and jumped to the side, just barely avoiding the jaws of a huge plant in front of them. The plant had four heads that all sat on the edges of four long vines that came off of a huge stalk in the ground. The roots of the plant seemed insecure, as if it could move around by pulling the roots up from the ground and moving them forward like feet.

"What the hell is that?" Link shouted.

"Manhandla."

"I'm going to guess that this is the Triforce Guardian, isn't it?"

"More then likely, since the Triforce is behind it."

"Then let's take it out." Link rushed forward and quickly brought her sword straight through the center of the huge stalk. Manhandla seemed to laugh at this, and Link noticed the attack seemed to have done nothing. Her sword had gone straight through it, but hadn't left a cut or anything.

"Go for the heads!"

One of the heads shot forward at Link and she quickly swung her sword up, slicing it right off the vine it was on. The head roared as it collapsed to the ground, then shriveled away into dust. "Awesome, that worked!" Link shouted and with a single move, she twirled around, slicing off two more of the plant's heads. The final head gave a roar and shot forward at Link, who quickly jumped to the right and brought her sword down, chopping off the final head of the plant.

"Yes!" Elli shouted. "You got…it…" Elli's excitement was cut short as she realized Manhandla was still moving. Without its heads, the stalk had begun to move, and the vines that held the heads were now acting as arms, flailing around and trying to wrap around Link.

"Whoa! What the hell is going on now?"

"You have to kill the main stalk now!"

Link pulled her sword back and rushed forward, slicing right through the center of the stalk once more, but just like before, it seemed to do nothing. "It's no good! My sword can't do anything to it!"

Elli growled, sizing up the stalk. She whipped out her wand and aimed it forward, holding her wand at the ready. "Alora ahora, vel leian indea ya ali netai saharzu ke dovol dea ofenai dilei miben!" Eight small circles of fire swirled around Elli for a moment, then shot forward, swirling around each other for a moment until they combined into one large flame.

The flame then struck the center of Manhandla and it seemed to give out a loud roar. The flames erupted upward, licking the plants vines and stalk. After a moment, the flames died down, leaving nothing but ash in place of where Manhandla had been. "Did we get it?" Link asked.

"I think so."

Link gave a sigh of relief. "That's good." She turned towards the archway and entered the room with the golden light. There, in the center of the room lied the third shard of the Triforce of Wisdom, and as Link lifted it up, the other two swirled around her and the three combined together. Light shot up from around them and Link and Elli soon found themselves teleporting out of the dungeon and back outside once again.

* * *

"As I suspected," Ganon spoke as he stared at the screen in front of him. Zelda fought against her chains once again and Ganon laughed. "The White Sword's power is exactly as I suspected. It will not harm the elite."

"What is that supposed to mean?" Zelda shouted.

Ganon turned and smiled at Zelda. "It means one thing. Once Link gets the Triforce of Wisdom, I shall unleash my elite soldiers. The White Sword will not harm them, and I will become victorious!" Ganon let out a maniacal laugh. "Link, prepare yourself. Soon you shall fall right into my trap!"

If I ever make the remake (which I am currently not working on) the game would follow this storyline -nods-

EDIT: Chapter 6

Chapter 6: Gleeok of Lake Hylia

"Are you sure this is going to work, Link?" Elli asked as she pulled tight upon a rope.

"No clue…we'll just have to hope for the best and see what happens," Link spoke as she also pulled on a rope, tugging it nice and tight. They had spent most of the day working on a large raft, as their next location was out in the middle of Lake Hylia itself.

"So tell me, once we get over there, what do we do?"

"We make it through the underworld and find the next piece of the Triforce."

"Which of course would mean that we'll also be facing whatever Triforce Guardian is down there as well."

"Naturally, there really is no other way. It seems Princess Zelda put up a guardian on each piece, so we'll have to fight something."

"What if your sword stops working again?"

Link sighed. "I don't know…" She walked to the back of the raft and began to push on it. Slowly, the raft moved forward along the sand until she had pushed it right into the water in front of her. She then grabbed a long stick she planned to use as an oar and hopped on. "Seems sturdy, let's go."

Elli nodded and quickly hopped onto the raft, sitting herself down. Link shoved the stick down into the water, digging it into the land beneath it. She then pushed on the stick which made the boat begin to move forward along the water. Slowly they sailed forward, making their way through Lake Hylia until they came to a small island in the center. Link pushed the oar against the ground until the boat struck the island.

"Is this it?" Elli asked as she stared forward.

"Only one way to find out, you'll have to trigger the Underworld Entrance and see if it does anything."

"Right." Elli pulled out her wand and held it forward. "Alora ahora, jinel ali jin nenkyu ya." The ground began to shake as she finished the spell, and from the ground came two, large, stone eyes. From there, the eyes rose, revealing a large mouth-like structure that formed a cavern with stairs that went down into the darkness of the cavern. "Looks like it worked."

"Then let's go." Link and Elli slowly walked forward, entering into the dark cavern before them. The stairs wound down into the ever growing darkness, but soon they found the cavern lighting up with torches all around. They had made it into the next underworld dungeon rules by Ganon. "All right, see if your locater spell will work."

"All right." Elli held her wand forward. "Alora ahora, menga indea ya dukku ani ijala qui Triforce." Her wand lit up as she held her wand forward. The spell began to fizzle, but suddenly, as if by magic, the wand tip brightened up and a small orb shot forward. It quickly swirled around them for a moment before launching forward into the dungeon.

"Holy crap!" Link shouted. "It's moving quickly, follow it!"

"Right!" Elli and Link quickly rushed forward, following the orb closely behind. The orb swirled and spiraled as it made its way deeper into the dungeon. Suddenly, the spell vanished, as if striking a barrier and dissipating. Elli and Link quickly stopped in their tracks, staring at where the spell had vanished. "What was that?"

"It didn't do that last time…"

There was then a strange noise, like the sound of something without legs slowly creeping along the floor. Link's ears perked up at the sound and she quickly drew the White Sword, readying herself for combat. Elli whirled around, trying to find the source of the sound, but the source was nowhere in sight. "Something's not right here…" Link spoke.

Suddenly, from beneath Elli's feet, a large creature made seemingly of slime rose up from the ground, engulfing Elli up to her neck. "Ack! Help Link!" she shouted.

"Elli!" Link quickly swung the White Sword, slicing the creature in half, making it give out a loud roar as it seemed to slowly melt away.

"What was that thing?" Elli asked as she stared at the ground beneath her.

"I'm not sure…" Link spoke, then heard the sounds of movement once more. "But I don't think that was the last one." Suddenly, several of the same creature rose up from the ground, roaring loudly. "Oh…that's not good…" Link readied the White Sword and swung it to her side. The sword began to glow and she swirled around, unleashing magical flames from her sword all around her. The flames licked the creatures and they roared, but it seemed to do nothing more to them.

"Definitely not good!" Elli shouted and grabbed Link by the sleeve of her tunic. "Let's run!" She quickly pulled on Link's sleeve, which, surprisingly, allowed Elli to drag Link away quickly. The two ran for several minutes with the creatures following not far behind. Unfortunately, they soon found themselves stopped at a dead-end.

"This is bad…very bad…" Link spoke as she stared forward at the wall, then turned to see the creatures still coming behind her. "What can we do?"

"Don't you have any other attacks?"

"I'm going to guess that they wouldn't do anything since my spin attack didn't do anything to them."

"Then I'll try." Elli stepped forward and whipped her wand out. She aimed the wand forward and closed her eyes. "Alora ahora, vel leian indea ya ali netai saharzu ke shikeru dea ofenai dilei miben!" Eight small orbs of light appeared around Elli, then launched forward, striking the creatures directly. The creatures roared loudly at the attack, but they seemed relatively unharmed by it. "This is very, very bad."

"Zap Bolts!" Link shouted and aimed the White Sword forward. The sword began to glow and a bolt of energy shot forward from her sword and struck one of the creatures. At once, it roared loudly as its body began to glow. Its body froze up in place, and after a moment, it vanished, the magic that held it together had been destroyed. "That worked!" Link proceeded to unleash a bolt of energy at each of the creatures, and as she did, they vanished, one after the other.

"We did it…" Elli spoke with a sigh of relief.

"We got them." Link also gave a sigh of relief and smiled. They turned to each other and gave each other a high five. She then sat herself back against the wall behind her to relax a moment. "Now we just need to find the-" Link's sentence was cut off as the wall behind her pushed backwards, opening up and making her fall backwards.

"Link!" Elli quickly knelt down. "Are you okay?"

"Fine…" Link spoke as she rubbed the back of her head. "What happened?"

"The wall…moved…" Elli looked up. "Looks like there's a room here. We should check it out."

Link nodded and stood to her feet, then turned around to look at the room. She slowly stepped forward, gripping the White Sword in case she needed it.

* * *

"Zelda, Zelda, Zelda," Ganon spoke as he tapped his foot upon the ground. "What am I going to do with you?"

Zelda was currently dangling from the ceiling by magical chains that were hooked on her wrists. "Let go of me!"

"Did you really think you could break free from me with such a pathetic spell?"

Zelda struggled, swinging her legs back and forth as she tried to get free of the chains. "I will be free! If I can't get free myself, then when Link gets here…"

"When Link gets here, she will be at the mercy of my minions. The White Sword will not harm me or any of my elite, and as long as she wields that, she has no hope of defeating me."

"Link will find a way!"

Ganon laughed. "You fool! There is no hope for you or your precious Link! My plan is flawless, and I will be the victor!"

"Master Ganon, Link has met with the Gleeok," Carock spoke as he entered the room.

A smirk crossed Ganon's face. "Good, I so can't wait to see if Link can manage to defeat the most powerful of dragons!" Ganon turned and snapped his fingers, causing a large screen to appear showing Link stepping into a dark room with Elli following behind. "So, Elli is still with him, is she?"

"Yes, Master Ganon, she has not left her side."

"Good, then I will keep watch on both of them." Ganon turned to look at Carock. "Carock, make sure they succeed in killing the Gleeok. If they fail, you will be required to step in."

"Of course, Master Ganon." Carock bowed and turned.

"Ganon!" Tamuril shouted as she stepped into the room, now standing just in front of Carock.

"What is it?" Ganon snarled.

"Explain something to me. You seem fixed on them winning each battle so that they can claim the Triforce of Wisdom. Why do you not just claim it yourself? Is it truly wise to let them do the job you could easily do yourself? After all, each battle just makes them stronger."

"Yes, you're quite right, but as I have said, the White Sword cannot harm me or my elite. There is no way for Link to defeat me."

"What if she has the Silver Arrow?"

Ganon laughed at that. "She does not. Even with the full power of the Triforce of Wisdom, she will still be lacking in one thing."

"And that is?"

"The Light Arrow! I explained all of this once before, do I need to explain it again?"

Tamuril shook her head. "No, but what makes you so certain she doesn't have the Light Arrow?"

"If she did, she would have used it by now."

"But she did once."

"And has not since. It was a simple flook and it will not be occurring again."

Tamuril sighed. "Fine, but if you die, don't come crawling to me." She turned and began to walk away. "Oh, and also," she spoke as she stopped, "just as a reminder, my salary is due."

"Your salary?"

Tamuril turned. "Twenty-thousand rupees."

"Twenty-thousand rupees?"

"Yes, for my services so far. After all, you won't pay me to kill the Hero of Time, so, as long as I am under your employment, it is five hundred rupees every hour."

Ganon roared. "I'll give you your salary!" He unleashed a bolt of lightning forward at Tamuril who quickly rose her hand to swat it away. "What?"

"I don't deal with anyone unless I'm prepared to be betrayed." Tamuril quickly drew her sword and rushed forward, in an instant, her sword was only an inch from Ganon's neck. "So, either you pay up, or you die."

Ganon laughed. "You can't kill me."

"True." Tamuril whirled her sword around and stabbed Ganon in the chest, making him roar.

"Master Ganon!" Carock shouted raising his hands to prepare a spell.

"No! It's okay!" Ganon shouted, then laughed. "You know, I really hate you."

"Likewise." Tamuril drew her sword from Ganon's chest and she watched as Ganon's body healed in an instant.

"While you certainly cannot kill me, you do know how to halt my magic. I can't have something like that falling into enemy hands." Ganon snapped his fingers and a large pouch appeared. "Take it and go, you'll find your fee is in there."

"Excellent." Tamuril took the pouch and opened it, checking through it quickly, then bowing. "Wonderful doing business with you so far."

"Wonderful…blah blah blah…" Ganon roared. "Now get out of my sight! I'll only pay you again when I need you!"

"Very well." Tamuril stepped back into the shadows with a laugh and vanished from sight.

"That woman vexes me…"

"Should I do away with her?" Carock asked.

"No…your magic would do nothing to her. She'd kill you sooner then you would kill her. For now, we just let her think she's won." Ganon then turned to look at the screen. "Oh, look, those dealing got done just in time. It's time to watch the show."

* * *

"Umm…Link…" Elli spoke as she stared forward. "What do you call that thing?"

"I have no clue…" Link spoke as she stared forward as well. In front of them was a large two-headed dragon. Its scales were green and its underbelly was yellow. It had four large legs, and two large wings on its back. "But whatever it is…Zelda really outdid herself this time!"

The dragon roared loudly and Link and Elli quickly jumped to the sides as it breathed out a huge blast of fire from both of its heads. "We've got to kill it!" Elli shouted.

"Obviously, but how?"

"No idea…"

"You're a lot of help." Link quickly held the White Sword forward. "Zap Bolts!" she shouted and shot a bolt of energy forward at the dragon. It smacked the creature on the side of one of its heads, but it seemed to give no reaction. "Damn…" Link thought for a moment. "I have an idea! Try to distract it!"

"How?"

"Shoot magic at it or something!"

"I'll try!" Elli quickly thrust her wand forward. "Alora ahora, ani aise indea ali ubela ke den shikerunega!" Two bolts of lightning shot forward from her wand, striking both of the dragon's heads at once. The dragon roared and turned to Elli and Link quickly tightened her grip on the White Sword. She rushed forward and brought her sword down on one of the heads, slicing it clean off, causing it to collapse to the ground. "Awesome!"

The second head roared and after a moment, the head that was chopped off slowly began to float up into the air. The neck of the dragon's head deteriorated in an instant and its scales seemed to shift from the green they were before to a blood red color. Its eyes began to glow and it roared loudly. "The head is still alive!" Elli shouted. "How is it still alive?"

"I don't know!" Link shouted and the dragon's still attached head turned to her. "Oh shit…" The dragon breathed in, then unleashed a blast of fire forward at Link, who quickly rose her sword. The flames struck the blade of the sword, then separated into two, causing the fire to fly off at both sides of Link, but also causing it to miss her.

"Link!" Elli shouted. "Alora ahora, ani aise indea ali ubela ke den shikerunega!" Elli quickly swung her wand forward, unleashing two bolts of lightning at the dragon's head once more, making it roar.

"Good, keep that head distracted!"

"Link, watch out!" Elli shouted and Link whirled around to find the blood red head now staring at her. It opened its mouth and Link quickly jumped aside as a blast of fire launched from its mouth. The fire sailed forward, striking the dragon in the back and causing it to roar. "Take out the other head, see if that does anything!"

Link quickly whirled around, gripping the White Sword and bringing it up, then down onto the neck of the dragon's other head, slicing it clean off as well. Both heads roared loudly as the second head collapsed to the ground. The neck once again deteriorated and the scales shifted to a blood red color. Both heads now floated into the air and roared at Link.

With a quick move, Link quickly whirled around once more, bringing her sword into the back of the dragon's body. Both of the heads roared loudly, as if in great pain. The dragon's body began to shake as its scales seemed to turn to dust. After a moment, it was left as a set of dragon bones, which then collapsed to the ground. The heads of the dragon then fell to the ground, their scales turning into dust, leaving nothing but two dragon skulls to lie upon the ground.

"Did…we kill it?" Link asked as she stared at the seemingly dead creature.

"I…think so…" Elli spoke as she stepped forward, staring at the bones of the dragon before her. She prodded them a little with her wand, but they didn't seem to respond in any way. She then turned, noticing one of the walls had vanished, leading into a room with a golden light. As she stepped in, she noticed a Triforce piece lying in the center of the room. "Link!"

Link quickly rushed forward into the room and saw the Triforce piece. She stepped forward and picked the piece up. When she did, the other pieces of the Triforce appeared and swirled around each other, then formed together. Golden light shot up around Elli and Link and the two found themselves teleported out of the dungeon, and out of the lake.

"Guess we beat that one, then," Elli spoke. "Where to next?"

"Death Mountain," Link spoke, pulling out her map. "Right here." She pointed to a mark on the map.

"Long way away."

"But it's the next one we have to go after."

Elli nodded. "Well, then, let's go." The two then headed on, continuing their journey through Hyrule. They had no clue what evils awaited them high on the top of Death Mountain, but together they believed they could conquer any enemy.
