I never got a chance to re-download, and re-install some language packs from Microsoft.com (Korean, chinese, and Janapese ones) I only see squares when it's supposed to be real letters. Darkness366 0 Report post Posted April 2, 2009 The conflicker worm was appearently made in Russia and the police there refuse to arrest the creator, making Microsoft's reward for that person's arrest usless. And the worm had already been out, it was just suppose to recieve a command yesterday. Basically it was a big april fools day thing on that something would happen most likely, however the worm is real and appearently prevents access to security sites. It also, according to my security teacher, collects data and sends it to one of their servers that they set up for it. Conflicker only works on windows OS, so if you have linux your computer is immune. that is all that was explained to me at least in my linux class yesterday, that teacher was my security teacher too, which is why I said as much. as for language packs, you should be able to get them off the install CD that should have come with your computer when you try to have your computer load them. Besides, this would not be a funny April Fools joke if it was one. It's to extreme to be a joke, now something like a whoopie cushion, that's an April fools joke :P Edit: @Joey: Lol :P I guess some people thought it was a joke since everyone started to hear it on April Fools.
